Reapor: Soundproofing Panels For Challenging Or Sensitive Environments
REAPOR is a new acoustic panel that gives specifiers flexibility in colour and design without restrictions in application created by weather, environmental or fire issues. Reapor, a soundproofing panel made from recycled glass, is not only superior in its ability to absorb noise energy but also is resistant to damage or deterioration from the elements. As such, it has outstanding noise control performance in the world’s worst weather. Reapor is non-combustible, making it fire-safe for use in any building application. It’s free of chemicals harmful to the environment or to the building occupier, and it’s recyclable. Reapor reuses bottle glass in a process that creates glass granules whose controlled porosity gives each granule outstanding acoustic absorption in its own right. A patented process fuses the granules into a homogeneous panel boasting exceptional absorptive performance (NRC 0.90/50 mm). Unlike foams and polymers used for acoustic absorption, the core material of Reapor panels is
naturally free of volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), known to harm the environment. Further, the fusing process dispenses with the need for binders, which are also known to generate VOC’s and, in the event of fire, generate smoke. Being non-combustible (tested to meet DIN 4102 A1) makes Reapor the soundproofing panel of choice for today’s specifiers facing tougher fire codes, particularly for schools, hospitals, aged care facilities, plant rooms, substations, exit ways, smoking areas, stairwells, airports and railway terminals. This unique product, which comes in panels 625 x 625 x 50mm, will give long life outdoors and indoors. The rigid, durable material is unaffected by water. It’s lightweight, workable with conventional woodworking tools, easy to clean and repair, fibre free and safe to use. Moreover, Reapor is completely recyclable. Reapor is said to exemplify Pyrotek Noise Control’s commitment to stay ahead of growing community expectations for superior and innovative soundproofing products that have zero impact on the environment throughout their
life cycle while delivering outstanding results. Applications include outdoor weather affected areas; high fire safety areas; tunnels, vent shafts and exits; machinery enclosures; schools, hospitals and aged care; wet areas, car washes; plant rooms and substations; pools and spas; rail tunnels, transport depots; interior, plain, painted and rendered surfaces; exit ways, smoking areas, stairwells; airports, stations, parking exits; road barriers, exterior plant fences and swimming pools. Features • High sound absorption • Non-combustible • Fibre free • Rigid and durable • Not affected by water • 100% recyclable • Easily worked • Lightweight • Quick and simple to install • Non toxic, VOC free • Simply maintained and cleaned • Paintable • Simple to repair • Safe to use

Raised Floors On Balconies, Podiums & Roof Tops THE Buzon Pedestal offers the flexibility of creating raised floors in external applications on balconies, terraces and green roofs in conjunction with any type of paver or timber decking. In the instance of a leak, this system allows for the easy removal of the pavers or timber decking, making it easy to investigate the source of the leak, inspect and repair the waterproofing membrane before the pavers or timber decking are reinstated with minimal effort. The pedestals are capable of supporting over 1,000 kg each and have a built-in slope correction device. This gives up to 5 percent fall compensation, so at ground level you can easily adjust for uneven surfaces. Height adjustability of between 17 mm-850mm allows unsightly plumbing and electrical services to be concealed under the floor. The patented slope-correcting device, achieves a perfectly level floor finish, and interchangeable spacer tabs allow for 2,4.5,6,8, & 10mm gaps between pavers, providing positive drainage and allowing for external and internal floor finishes to be at the same level. The pedestal also reduces sound transmission and increases the thermal insulation of roofs. In addition it reduces weight loading by eliminating the use of sand and cement mortar beds. Exhibiting at DesignBuild, Stand #H14.

Designer Rail : Timber & Stainless Combined
BRAND new to the Hammersmith Handrail Collection is the Designer Rail, combining the warmth of timber with the modern look of stainless steel to produce a sleek stylish handrail. The range includes 43mm diameter timber dowel available in sustainably managed Australian timbers such as Victorian Ash and Jarrah; as well as 316 stainless steel fittings that are suitable for exterior and interior use. These fittings include; end caps, adjustable elbows and 90 degree bends, that when combined with the timber dowel will allow for continuous hand railing. Until now, trying to combine timber with stainless has been
difficult due to the problems of joining together two different types of materials. The Designer Rail solves this problem with the simple use of a plastic connector. The connector fits easily to the end of the timber dowel, and then with the help of silicone the specially designed stainless fittings will slip over the end of the connector to produce a near seamless join. The Designer Rail conforms to Australian Standard Design for Access and Mobility, and as such can be used in hospitals and aged care facilities; as well in domestic applications such as balcony railing or wall railing for a staircase.

Innovation In Concrete Coating
PROGUARD™ from Nanokote Pty Ltd is a single coat solution for decorative anti-carbonation and anti-graffiti protection requiring no priming allowing a single coat (or two coat wet on wet) to be directly applied to dry or damp concrete. This replaces typical competitor systems of a standard 4-coat: primer, two separate coats of acrylic (24 hours apart) followed 7 days later by a polyurethane clearcoat. ProGuard™ can be applied directly to damp concrete at temperatures as low as 3°C reducing lost time from rain or environments where morning dew or high humidity cause delays. Typical competitor systems cannot be applied on damp surfaces or at temperatures below 10°C. The speed of application and reduced ancillary costs of traffic management and access equipment combine to reduce risk and cost to the contractor by up to 75%. Perfect for Winter Single coat application Exceptionally fast months – application directly onto dry or application Chemical or fusion bonding with the concrete creates an incredibly durable coating that resists peeling, flaking and blistering providing down to 3°C damp concrete long term downstream benefits for the asset owner. ProGuard™ is suitable for tunnels, bridges, safety barriers, ports and marine developments, sports stadiums, shopping centres, apartment buildings and car park floors. ProGuard™ is available in any colour and is certified by VicRoads Sec. 685 & 686. Perfect for Winter months application down to 3° C

Acoustic ceiling at the Hyatt
GOOD acoustics is to treat a space without being obvious. The acoustic Kliptex® stretch fabric system provides an aesthetic solution to a technical problem. The system profile is concealed by the fabric and only restricted by the width of the fabric or your imagination. The system incorporates absorbers that reduce
reverberated sound and enhances listening in restaurants, dining areas, lobbies, waiting rooms, auditoriums, galleries, offices, boardrooms, etc. Kliptex® has been recently installed at the Park Hyatt Sydney on the ceilings of the foyer, gallery, study and guest house. Additional design elements such as
shadow-lines, lighting, sprinklers, speakers and projector ports are built in and perfectly aligned with adjacent architectural features. The on-site installation of Kliptex® by trained personnel overcomes the problems of prefabricated panels.

A New Incredibly Strong & Sustainable Building Material
MADE from layer upon layer of paper (recycled or from 60 per cent sustainable sources) and bonded with phenolic resin and heat/pressure cured, Paperock is a remarkably strong composite building material. Sourced and manufactured here in Australia by an Australian owned company, Paperock is incredibly strong for its weight and volume. By cross laminating many layers of paper the tension/compression values for Paperock are outstanding. In addition, the impregnated phenolic resin makes the product impervious to water. Paperock is made from recycled paper and/or paper from renewable sources making it eco-friendly and 60 per cent sustainable with no VOC emissions. Paperock can be easily installed by any trained carpenter with normal wood working tools. For more information and to request a sample pack follow up with an Infolink enquiry or visit our website. Paperock is ideal for kitchen benches, food preparation surfaces, architectural materials, industrial work surfaces, furniture and much more!
