Echohush Cosmo... A Revolution In Room Acoustic Panels
ECHOHUSH Cosmo panels solve the problem of reflected sound, offering fire resistance, robustness, uniformity and simple installation in a revolutionary room acoustic wall panel. These decorative Cosmo panels soundproof in a myriad of situations, from schools, bars, restaurants and call centres, to studios, showrooms and (home and commercial) theatres – anywhere you need greater privacy, improved acoustics or enhanced speech intelligibility.
Echohush Cosmo panels can be incorporated into the design process or retrofitted once construction has been completed. Available in six standard designs and nine stock colours, or, by designer’s choice depending on project size. Echohush Cosmo panels are manufactured from sheet metal and unlike timber or fabric panels, they contain no chemicals that may out gas, and are not affected by moisture. The sheet is made acoustically transparent by
decorative cut-outs and is then formed into a three dimensional panel, and powder coated to your colour choice. The three dimensional shape creates a cavity which is in filled with an acoustic medium giving the panels outstanding acoustic performance.

Smarter Small Home of the Future THE Smarter Small Home™ concept, combining a small lot and small home with a smart choice of materials and an efficient construction method, has resulted in a rise in sustainable and affordable developments across the country. Brent Blacklow, Designer of The Smarter Small Home, chose James Hardie sheet products from the very first stage, minimising waste and maximising efficient construction methods. “Many of James Hardie’s products are sheet products and so a carpenter can cover an area of three square metres in 10 minutes. These products just have a bucket-load of flexibility at a really affordable price,” says Blacklow. When Met Developments’ architect Joe Evans first saw The Smarter Small Home, he “just loved it.” Evans was able to prove that a home can be sustainable and affordable. “There’s quite a lot of issues within the development industry about [government legislation] pushing up the price of developing, making it more unaffordable,” Evans says. “But then on the flip side, we’ve gone and done a development which has an average price of $322,000, and it’s not 5 star, it’s 6 star – five years ahead of what’s required and affordable.”

New Stainless Steel Slotdrain From Stormtech
Strength and Durability – Blockout Roller Shutters
STORMTECH has released a new stainless steel slotdrain that has all the advantages of Stormtech’s previous linear drain solutions including the elimination of water puddling which can provide unsafe conditions, the creation of seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor areas as well as being aesthetically pleasing. The new 25SDIF has the narrowest possible grating aperture at 25mm wide and includes an integrated tiling flange to protect the underlying material from moisture damage. The great innovation with this stainless steel slot drain is that the grate is height adjustable to match the tile height. The 316 marine grade product is designed for indoor and outdoor use and is also available as an offset version for installation against a wall.
CERTAIN applications demand the strongest and most durable glass protection. Blockout Shutters has developed the ultimate shutter component to aid in withstanding extreme weather conditions, attempted burglaries and constant usage – the Maxiblock® Tracks. These tracks are deeper for more support and four times thicker than standard shutter tracks, providing greater security. A unique feature of the Maxiblock® track is that it incorporates an internal locking chamber that secures the shutter slats inside the track making it almost impossible to pull the slats out of position. This increases the shutter strength by nearly three times compared with standard shutters. For your next project specify Blockout’s Extruded Maxiblock® Shutters for strength and durability.

Roof Anchor Points And Access Systems By Safemaster
WHEN it comes to fall protection and access systems then SAFEMASTER HEIGHT SAFETY SOLUTIONS has just that – the solutions. As an Australian market leader for over 10 years SAFEMASTER has built its reputation on its stringently engineered products and competent knowledge of the height safety industry. SAFEMASTER has a large range of engineered products, including modular ladder and pull down attic ladder systems, roof walkway and handrail systems, rigid rail, staticline and anchor point systems, and has just complemented its range by the release of the new, innovative Connect360, Customfix and Tilefix anchor points. The Connect360 roof anchor point incorporates a unique energy absorbing swivel anchor system. This allows the user to work in a complete 360° around the anchor point with ease as the swivel anchor follows the user as he moves. Connect360 is designed to fix onto the top rib of most roof profiles using specialised structural rivets. This eliminates the need to penetrate the pan of the roof sheet, therefore greatly reducing the risk of leaks through penetrations. The low profiled Customfix anchor point utilises the innovative technological design of SAFEMASTER’s Vertic energy absorber. The Customfix anchor point is designed to be used specifically on corrugated roof
sheeting as this sheeting is commonly used on pitches over 20° and therefore is visible from the ground. It makes sense that the aesthetically pleasing Customfix anchor point is used on these roofs to reduce the visual impact normally associated with surface mounted anchor points. The Tilefix anchor provided by SAFEMASTER also incorporates the unique design of their Vertic energy absorber. The Tilefix anchor point is designed to be used on all tile profiles, whether it is clay, cement or slate and is installed with no penetration to the tile, therefore eliminating the risk of leaks which are present with anchors which penetrate the tile. The Tilefix anchor point is fixed to the timber rafter or the top chord of the timber truss using readily available Type 17 screws. There are 5 rows of holes running lengthways on the fixing plate which provides flexibility in fixing by allowing the Tilefix anchor point to be located in the best position over the tile. All these 3 new cutting edge products are rated at 22kN and are manufactured from high grade stainless steel, electropolished after manufacture to remove any impurities left from the manufacturing process which could contaminate the stainless steel.

RMAX ThermaAdvantage® – Insulation That Saves Space, Costs and Energy
RMAX ThermaAdvantage® is a foil faced expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation board suitable for internal or external insulation applications, identified by its unique orange foil surface. RMAX ThermaAdvantage® provides superior levels of insulation while reducing heating and cooling costs. It combines the outstanding thermal characteristics of EPS with the high reflectivity and low emissivity of foil producing a cost effective, space saving insulation. Unlike conventional ‘between stud’ insulation, RMAX ThermaAdvantage® provides a continuous insulation membrane by covering studs and noggins, which can occupy around 15% of wall area, reducing the potential for thermal bridging.
Installation RMAX ThermaAdvantage® panels are quickly fixed to the stud using Pryda board fixers located on every stud horizontally and positioned at 600mm centres vertically. Once fixed in place the joints are then sealed with an RMAX approved joining tape.
