Australia Gopal Baglay recently met with Chris Dawson AC APM, the Governor of Western Australia (WA), to discuss the close cooperation and strengthening relationship between India and Western Australia. During the meeting, High Commissioner Baglay expressed gratitude to the Governor for supporting activities of the Indian diaspora, such as hosting weekly Yoga sessions organized by the Consulate General of India in the gardens of Government House Western Australia.
The close and longstanding friendship between India and Singapore is underscored by strong trade, cultural, and people-to-people connections that span centuries. According to the Indian High Commission in Singapore, Singapore stands as India's 8th largest trade partner. Bilateral trade in 2022-23 surged to USD 35.59 billion, marking an 18% growth over 2021-22, with exports to Singapore amounting to USD 12 billion and imports from Singapore totaling USD 23.59 billion.
