Learn about the art of lampworked marbles as you get lost in their mesmerizing self-contained galaxies! WEDNESDAY INTRO TO SHEET GLASS Discover the foundational practices and processes of fusing glass! Learn to cut and assemble glass plates, frits, noodles, and stringers to make a variety of plate and jewelry projects. As the class goes on, we will discuss how glass reacts to different kiln temperatures as well as how to prepare molds for slumping. 7 Weeks • January 20–March 3 12:30–2:30 pm • $373 • Beginning Kenton Pratt

HOT GLASS 3 Hot Glass 3 will focus on developingAdvanced skills in glass manipulation. Demonstrations will be based on techniques requested by the class and personal projects should be mostly self-directed. FLAMEWORKING: SCULPTURE

Experiment with several types of glass working while exploring a mixture of hot sculpting, fusing, and flameworking. Showcasing the creative malleability of glass, this is a great way to test the waters before jumping into a full semester glass class!

Come play with fire in this 15-week introductory flameworking class! As a great class for beginners, students will learn the basics of manipulating borosilicate glass as well as the fundamentals of traditional and free form sculpture techniques.

Express your hottest artistic ideas while you continue to learn the basics of molten glass forming. Explore composition, melting, working with extreme temperatures, and the medium’s sculptural capabilities as you get comfortable in the glass studio. Class time is divided between basic use of glassblowing equipment, demonstrations of techniques, and hands-on learning. TRADITIONAL STAINED GLASS In this introductory class, students will be able to learn the esteemed copper foil method of stained glass developed by Tiffany.
