WOK ‘N’ ROLL INTO ASIAN FUSION BLISS Velaa Cafe is a flavour sensation.

F

ocused on fresh, lip-smacking flavours like mango, zesty lemongrass, creamy coconut and coriander (okay, so we may or may not have lost you on that one, depending on your coriander stance) – but our point remains, pan-Asian fare is a fullblown flavour party for your mouth. Well, Gold Coasters, pucker those lips as Velaa Cafe makes its grand entrance, bringing vibrant, Asian-inspired eats to the lively streets of Surfers Paradise. Situated on the Alison St crossroads of the buzzing Surfers Paradise Boulevard stretch, Velaa Cafe lies but a casual stroll beyond the shores of the glitter strip, and mere steps from its Thai-centric sib venue, Cocohut Taste of Thailand. Filling tums with top notch Thai since 2017, owners Pattaraporn Suwannayok and Woranot Viboonvoradech have expanded their flavour focus with a broader mix of pan-Asian influences for their new venture. Mall-goers can swing by the new cafe and get amongst a selection of summery libations like Tropical Milk Teas and ice-cold,

6 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

Mango and Lycheeinfused creations that look almost too pretty to drink – while dishes like Ice-Cream topped Pandan Toast and Acai Bingsu provide a tantalising twist on the cafe classics. With extensive hospitality backgrounds and a near 20 year stint living on the GC, the duo feels they have developed an eagle eye for filling gaps – and tums – on our culinary circuit. After seven solid years slinging authentic, street-style food out of their neighbourhood Thai joint, the pair have embarked on a new challenge that plays to their strengths, with a venue that was inspired by their adventures abroad. For Velaa’s vibe, Pattaraporn and Woranot have opted for a chic, minimalist approach resulting in a space that allows the colourful dishes to shine. It’s a choice we have no doubt was intentional since the expert Space Cubed Design crew have again been up to their old tricks here (and by old tricks, we mean designing slick and stunning spaces up and down the Coast that we can’t stop

EXPERIENCE THE EXQUISITE BLEND OF ASIAN FUSION DELIGHTS

drooling over). The aesthetic of brass sconces, terrazzo tiles, earth tones and organic lines is one that speaks directly to our hopeless, neutral-loving hearts #swoon. And hey, while we might be in the minority that could happily talk beige all day – a menu like this (rightfully) waits for no one. The cafe’s eclectic mix of savoury main meals married with sweet brunch and dessert style dishes is reflective of Velaa’s lunch–late operating hours – with tantalising, tropical tastes that tie it all together. Along with Velaa’s array of frosty, Asianinspired beverage flavours are refreshing eats contenders such as the Coconut Prawn Salad, Salmon Tartare and Silver Fish Salad that keep it light yet without skimping on satisfaction. Then there’s the likes of the heartier Khao Soi Beef, made with braised beef, aromatic curry broth, ramen, chilli oil, crispy noodles and pickled mustard green, which is enough to incite immediate tummy grumbling. Or tuck in to sweet treats like the Burnt Butter Toast, piled with caramelised banana, ice-cream and caramel lashings, or perhaps iterations of the Korean-style shaved ice dessert, Acai or Mango Bingsu… *sweet cravings intensify* …safe to say we’ll be seeing you very soon, Velaa Cafe. WE’D HOPED OUR PATHS WOULD CROISSANT AGAIN Well Bread & Pastry takes Miami.

M

iami, we’ve found the new loaf of your life and they come bearing carbs. Get bready because Well Bread & Pastry are officially calling Miami home with their newest location now open so just hurry up and take our money. Taking pole position at Miami One, it’s right in the heart of the action so central Gold Coasters can get their carb load closer to home. If you’re not familiar with the legends behind Well Bread at Palm Beach, we’ll forgive you this time. It’s giving bakery but

8 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

better than you’ve known before. Husband and wife duo Michelle and Stefan brought the European inspired art of breadmaking back to Palm Beach and now they’re giving Miami a taste of the goods too. Bringing the same vibe and aesthetic that you know and love, it’s a space you know locals are going to adore all over again. With their signature French inspired fit out giving space for the baked goods to be the star of the show as they perch on exposed shelving, distressed woods and loads of space for you to sit and sip on a fresh brew. They know bread, which makes sense since it’s in the name. Well Bread’s signature sourdough ferments for more than 16 hours and they use just three ingredients in the signature recipe because sometimes less just is so much more. So what’s on the menu I hear you ask? Well… bread, clearly. And a whole range of them too from the Classic Sourdough of course, as well as gluten free and flavoured options if you prefer your bread a little fancy.

If you’re partial to a sweet treat then donut fret because the pastry cabinet is loaded with goodies to kick those cravings. Think freshly baked, flaky Fruit Danishes and decadent Portuguese Tarts, all the way through to Meringue Tarts and Cinnamon Scrolls. On a roll and need to grab a bite on the go? The fresh sandos are a winner on their signature bread with the freshest fillings for big flavour.

We’ve bean waiting for a new coffee haunt to join the stable in Miami and this little gem was worth the wait. The baristas are brewing the best with beans from Paradox Coffee Roasters, so there’s no doubt you’ll love it a latte – crust us. Beautiful breads, great coffee and a new space the neighbourhood has been craving? Ticks all the boxes for us. Words by Jacqueline Bojanowski Images by Mathilde Bouby

A CROWD FAVOURITE UPS THE ANTE

SkyPoint’s makeover is a taste bud takeoff!.

T

here’s no denying we Gold Coasters are a lucky bunch. Every way we look, we’re met with stunning surrounds. Now SkyPoint, our coveted vantage for soaking in the full 360 degrees of local splendour is flaunting a heightened new aesthetic that’s a visual delight. And a new menu that’s a next level treat for the taste buds too. Two words: Bug. Rolls. SkyPoint, the iconic destination standing proud on the Surfers skyline has long been our favoured way to soak up all four corners of our city and enjoy some delicious cocktails while doing so. It is now officially better than ever, upping

10 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

the ante with a slick new rebrand, an enticing, revamped menu and a sleek, modern zhuzh up to take the ambience to a whole new level (if that is even possible, with a venue that stands a staggering 230m off the ground). Add in that same magnificent bird’s eye view and Surfer’s new-old darling is a shore thing. If it’s been a while since you last ventured (77 floors) up, we’re talking unobstructed views stretching as far south as the border, north to Straddy, west to the rolling hills of the hinterland, and east Pacific Ocean as far as you can ‘sea’. With the eyes taken care of, let’s talk about the tastebuds. To round out the sophisticated new experience, the modern menu has been designed to include some iconic Gold Coast dishes. Savour the likes of Moreton Bay Bug Rolls, crispy Moreton Bay bug, baby gem lettuce, sriracha aioli in a brioche bun or Baja Fish Tacos, saltwater barramundi, charred corn salsa, coriander crema in a corn tortilla. Or stick to the crowd favourites. Our mouths are watering just thinking about the 77 Beef Burger, grilled beef patty, bacon, jack

cheddar, onion rings, BBQ sauce, garlic aioli, leafy greens, tomato, pickles, brioche bun. The littlies will be spoilt for choice with a kid’s menu featuring all the greatest hits. Chicken Nuggets for the win. They also do a stellar buffet breakfast spread, should you want to start your morning on top of the world. It’s a little later in the day when this gem truly starts to sparkle – and yes, we do mean any time after midday when those sky-high sips come into play. As the sun sets on the shimmering surf (figuratively, of course – wrong side of the ocean and all that), switch the Cappuccino for the Kahlua-laced classic, Espress Yo’Self (with caramel, if you’re feeling extra, and when are we not?).

Or, if you’re in the mood to borrow some holiday vibes, might we suggest the Ocean Mist… then again, a Coconut Margarita has never failed us yet. SkyPoint offers an unforgettable day or evening among the clouds (or thereabouts). So, if you’re craving breathtaking sights and culinary delights, take it up several hundred notches and discover the new SkyPoint. Words by Kellie Leader.

JUST FRY TO KEEP US AWAY Broken Hearts Burger Club shakes up the GC’s burger scene.

H

aving a craving get a little out of hand, is something we can all relate to (accidental-entire-block-of-chocolate down the hatch, anyone?) – Unfortunately for us, our incessant hankerings are yet to turn into a burgeoning burger empire, which is the exact position Jay Gordon – the enthusiastturned-entrepreneur behind Broken Hearts Burger Club – has found himself in. Taking his hankering for the humble, LAstyle burger, and somewhere along the line, turning it into Brisbane’s seven-strong, smash burger stalwart… #wellthatescalatedquickly. Now beef patty purists can finally get their BHBC fix right here in Miami, as the burger slingers again expand their oh-so-delicious club, to dish up American-style fries, shakes

12 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

and classic, cheese-stuffed smash burgers from their first Gold Coast location. In that ever-familiar 2020 story, Jay and his fam’s adventures abroad were cut short abruptly forcing them to return home with time to kill (and grill). Quickly diving bread-first into his lockdown quest of replicating the Californian style, street food staple he was longing for – classic smash burgers. For many of us, our covid-hobbies were ‘discarded’ (little sourdough pun there, shout out to anyone else with short-lived baking aspirations) as quickly as they were discovered, but not Jay. Instead, he doubled down on perfecting his recipe, delivering burgers to his buds and creating a dedicated Instagram account – a decision that would later help his backyard burger project become anything but. After continuing to build momentum on the ‘gram, and a handful of pop-ups later – the first official BHBC, a brick-and-mortar burger joint in Morningside, was born. The most recent expansion now makes eight in the family – taking up residence at Miami One on Miami’s Gold Coast Highway stretch. The venue sports their signature, retro diner chic vibe – with an all-white fit-out, contrasted

with pops of bold red accents and leather booths. Feast your eyes upon the small but mighty menu, and Jay’s commitment to nailing the pared-back, “everyday burger” is immediately apparent. Their M.O. – (deceptively) simple burgers, done well – is not one they’ve been tempted to deviate from, with a grand total of two burgers – classic, and fancy – to choose from. The only variable between the two? Just how stacked of a bun you want to tackle, with single, double and triple-patty versions to opt between. Strictly sticking to ingredients you’d find native to its LA counterpart, the bespoke patty blend Jay spent months perfecting is the real hero, with no fussy, distracting aiolis or maple syrup glazes to hide behind. The Classic is the less-is-more iteration, with molten, American cheese-studded, charred smash patties, house pickles and special sauce, all piled between the signature potato bun, while the Fancy brings some iceberg lettuce and tomato slices into the mix. Not in the mood for a burger? Weird flex, but ok – you’re still welcome at this club with several styles of cheese and chilli-laden loaded fries to get around (don’t forget the fry sauce)! Keeping it all-American, you can choose between ‘Sodas’ or Shakes to wash it all down with.. which begs the question – Chocolate, or Vanilla? (…or Strawberry, or Lime, or ‘Special’ which has our interest well and truly piqued). So, bun-based fare enthusiasts – if an authentic love letter to the art of the LA-style burger tickles your pickle, high tail it to Broken Hearts Burger Club and find out what all the fuss is about. LIVIN’ LA VIVO LOCA

Vivo on Broadbeach has us weak at the knees.

A

tantalising taste of the Mediterranean has arrived on our doorsteps – via our swanky new darling of dining, Vivo on Broadbeach. Joining the beach-blessed suburb’s vicinity with a show stopping debut recently. And if the prospect of balmy arvos spent slurping back the likes of Spanner Crab Gnocchi and Caribbean Daiquiri’s is enough to immediately win you over (... if it’s not, we’re not entirely sure we can be friends) – just wait till you set eyes upon the swoonworthy coastal style space – yep, she’s the whole shebang guys. Smack bang in the heart of Broadbeach – the spacious new 150 pax venue promises to entice perambulators with live music,

14 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

generous indoor and outdoor spaces and irresistible aromas permeating from the humming Surf Parade promenade. Of course, dazzling good looks only get you so far. The menu is what *really* seals the deal here, tempting us with meticulously crafted morsels, where the specialities of Mediterranean flavours and spectacular seafood sing. The venue’s curated ocean fare comes courtesy of culinary veteran Danny Cecchi (formerly of Melbourne’s RST Seafood Restaurant fame). ‘Queen of Broadbeach’ Belle Petersen also joins the Vivo on Broadbeach dream team – each bringing a hefty three decades worth of industry expertise to the table, respectively. The new (sea)foodie haven packs effortless, Euro-cool charm by the bucket load – y’know, the kind that sweeps you off your feet at first sight, requiring a second... and third look (– but we draw the line at four... #becool)… aaand are we even still talking about restaurants here?! The brief was to create a sophisticated

space to suit the top notch eats offering, and since the venue boasts both its very own private dining room (set inside a wine barrel, no less) and street-side bar dining we’d say that’s mission accomplished. The Australasian Retail Projects team nailed the upscale, yet welcoming fit-out – layering textural, white-on-white finishes, marble, exposed beams and coastal inspired timber elements to feast the eyes upon. Of course, it’s the eats where the feasting we’re *really* here for kicks into gear – and the likes of Bug Tails, Seafood Chowder, Spanner Crab Bruschetta will have us off to a very swell start indeed. For mains, sidle up to Seafood Linguine, your preferred style of Southern Rock Lobster (natural, Mornay or Thermidor) – or, to satisfy the seafood dodgers among us – Lamb Racks with pistachio crusted grilled vegetables. Feeling parched? Choose between a generous selection of libations to wash it all down – will it be red, white, or perhaps one of the classic or house cocktails? And really, with those impeccable vibes, who can resist the call of settling in to sink a few sundowners in the salt air? Certainly not us. Though Vivo on Broadbeach just as happily lends itself to intimate date night dinners as it does decadent, long lunches that blur into sip-fests (what can we say, we’re a thirsty bunch). Don’t mind if we do!

A CITY-STRADDLING SEQ BREW DESTINATION IS BORN Current status: flat out like a lizard drinking at Perentie Brewing Co.

T

hirsty folk of the GC and surrounds, prepare to update that rolling list of steadfast sip spots to whip out at a moment’s notice – we’ve officially scored one more to adore, as Perentie Brewing Co. cracks its taps. Situated smack bang between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the purpose-built, $6 million-dollar brewery is the first of its kind for the Eagleby region, bringing authentic lager beers, tasty, seasonal bar bites and a sprawling beer garden space to the banks of the Albert River, within the Distillery Road Market (DRM) dining & entertainment hub.

18 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

No matter your neck of the woods, Perentie’s addition is a huge gain that will attract the parched and peckish from far and wide. The centrally-located brew hotspot – one the Logan region has long been crying out for – will be a game changer for any who’ve attempted to gather a crew more chaotically spread through the suburbs than a Vegemite sanga. Providing a contemporary, convenient spot for all to load up on the likes of Beer-infused Onion Rings, Prawn and Bug Rolls, Smash Burgers, and sink some icy cold schooners – just a mere one-minute side quest off the motorway. Even if you’re yet to step foot inside the industrial-style DRM precinct, it’s one you’ve likely spied in your travels. Tucked right beside the highway – at a whopping 17,000 sqm footprint, the festoon-lit facility is one that’s hard to miss. Its first stage in 2019 delivered a community foodie hub for the bustling growth corridor – complete with food truck studded artisan markets, a Mexican Cantina, a Smokehouse, and its very own flagship, licensed Zarraffa’s location, Kiwanda Cafe.

SOUTH-EAST QLD’S NEWEST BREWERY

For any session. For anyone. An industrial-style cafe churning out caffeine hits and cocktails? Sign us up. With a name inspired by Australia’s largest monitor lizard, Perentie’s addition signifies the next stage for the project, unveiling an impressive, architecturally designed 921m2 space. Which, more importantly for the beer buffs among us, holds over 30,000 litres of beer onsite and capacity to brew 1 million litres a year… don’t mind if we ‘brew’! There’s a total of 68 taps of beer throughout (over half of which are dedicated to the house brews) with an offering that includes three signature beer products alongside a seasonal menu fresh out of the on-site kitchen. There’s a signature drop to suit every hankering, including the Summer Dry (a mid-strength lager), Pure Crisp (clean crisp lager) and Komodo Black (dark lager) – all brewed using traditional German techniques. The state-of-the-art production facility is the brainchild of a man who clearly has a passion for brews in all forms – Zarraffa’s Coffee Founder, Kenton Campbell. The project finally sees his long-term vision for the space to become a “world-class precinct with something for everyone” come to brew-ition. “DRM, and now Perentie, is somewhere you can meet family or friends halfway, stop for a refreshing drink and bite to eat, browse the markets and listen to your favourite local musicians.” Kenton adds, “Perentie is really the icing on the cake creating authentic moments of relaxation and enjoyment.” Well, you heard the man, go forth, relax and enjoy! TWEED VALLEY’S OG CULINARY CROWN JEWEL WITH VIEWS TO DINE FOR Have you met…Mavis (Kitchen & Cabins)?

N

estled at the foothills of the worldheritage listed Wollumbin (Mt Warning) in the heart of the Tweed Valley stands a bona fide local treasure; Mavis Kitchen & Cabins. Established in 2007, this culinary utopia has become the region’s worst-kept secret, where gastronomy, greenery, and good times are a given. Serving up exquisite Modern Australian cuisine with a pinch of Middle-Eastern flair, Mavis is the kind of place where time slows down, and your appetite speeds up. Here, dining is a two-floor affair set in a thoughtfully restored 120-year-old timber

20 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

Queenslander. Perched on an ex-dairy farm site and surrounded by the enchanting Wollumbin National Park, Mavis is more than just a pretty façade. Its casual, warm, and tropical embrace mirrors the lush rainforest and 25 acres of perfectly manicured gardens which would make any garden gnome swoon. Guests can graze and sip inside or outside on its three expansive verandas, each providing cool breezes and front-row seats to soak up the mountainous magic and botanical bliss. The proud owners are dynamic duo Tindal Magnus and Sam McCormac. With impressive backgrounds boasting a blend of restaurateur razzle dazzle and health industry ingenuity, their passion for Mavis is fierce. Heading up the kitchen is esteemed chef and taste-bud tamer, Tara Bandack. Cheffing since the tender age of 18, Tara has worked her palette-pleasing panache across Europe at five pan-Asian restaurants, leaving a slew of satisfied bellies in her wake. The interior design is the perfect blend of warmth and homeliness, filled with love, light – and a hint of saffron. It reflects the changing

nature of the spaces and the people who’ve fallen head over heels for the venue, helping Mavis nail the X factor. The décor, however, takes a backseat to the real star of the show: the incredible food whipped up by Tara and her culinary cohorts. In a world where sharing is caring, Mavis takes it a step further, centring its philosophy around sharing both the food and the experience. It’s like a culinary love letter to the Tweed Valley, with each dish telling an unforgettable story. Case and point: we’re stanning over the signature dish, Grilled Kangaroo Loin, Macadamia Purée, Davidson Plum and Bordelaise Sauce. For the vegetarians and vegans, you can’t go past the mouthwatering Tender Chickpea Gnocchi, Smoked Tomato, Mushrooms, Garden Basil and Pecorino. But it’s not just the nosh living in our minds rent-free, it’s the sensational signature cocktail; Bush Lemon Negroni. Made with Campari, amaro, sweet vermouth and bush limoncello, it’s a liquid vacay for your senses. And it would be rude of us not to mention that Mavis is a mere stone’s throw away from historic villages, art galleries, and the GC/ Tweed Coast staple, beautiful beaches. Location, looks, and lip-smacking fare – yep, this place qualifies as the ultimate triple-threat. So, whether you’re looking for a long, leisurely lunch or a cozy cabin escape to nurture your food coma, Mavis Kitchen & Cabins is the go-to, and will leave you planning your next visit before you’ve even paid the bill.

Sam and Jess have been turning frowns upside down interstate for over a decade, and with the addition of local injectable royalty Nurse Molly to the GC team, this place is THE place for youthful, flawless skin. If you’re apprehensive about injectables, stop (“calibrate and listen” and speaking of age, we’re showing ours…) because those pesky ‘11’ lines will only deepen! Rest assured that at CIA, you’re in the safest possible hands with impressive qualifications and extensive training supporting their craft. These registered nurses, each armed with a minimum Bachelor’s degree, are committed to providing the expertise and confidence you deserve because when it comes to your face, there’s no room for amateur hour. Mastering the art of full-face rejuvenation, from furrowed brows to laugh lines, no crease is safe under their watch. The treatment menu serves up every cosmetic skin treatment a gal…or guy…could ever wish for. We’re talking ALL the ‘dermas’; dermal filler, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and dissolving dermal filler because sometimes a breakup is

necessary. Plus, they offer LED light therapy, AquaGold, collagen stimulating treatments, skin needling, PDO threads and of course, anti-wrinkle injections. The CIA team tailors treatment plans to each individual patient, and yes, they’re having a ‘jab’ at the one-size-fits-all approach. Believers in aging gracefully (translation, no frozen faces or fish lips), their mission is: “At the heart of our practice lies the power to keep everyone guessing about your antiaging secrets – because when it comes to timeless beauty, we redefine the possibilities of less is best.” To paint the picture, let’s travel back in time (not really, but they’ll make it look like you have) to when CIA first started. Shaking up the beauty game, Molly, Sam and Jess, aka the Avengers of aesthetics, joined forces after years of working in the industry. Fast forward to present day and CIA clinics are popping up faster than Kardashian collabs, with clinics on the Gold Coast, in Brisbane, Darwin, Adelaide, and Katherine. Getting to CIA is a breeze, with plenty of easy-to-access parking. And, the booking system is as smooth as your post-treatment skin, allowing you to compare your availability with clinic appointments without even the hint of a frowny face. So if you’re ready to bid farewell to fine lines and wrinkles (‘knoath we are) and say hello to a more youthful you, the name on everybody’s perfectly plumped lips is Cosmetic Injectables Australia. A CHIC NEW COFFEE HAVEN SNEAKS INTO BROADBEACH You’ll be frothin’ Coffee at the Lane.

O

h happy day, Gold Coasters – if there’s something we can all agree on, it’s that learning of a new brew-slinging coffee spot in our midst brightens our day. If you haven’t stumbled across – or sniffed out – the small but oh-so mighty spot now gracing Naranga Ave in Broadbeach Waters, it’s time to meet Coffee at the Lane. A chic, compact, cutie-patootie coffee slinging spot punching well above its weight, Coffee at the Lane has had locals buzzing in more ways than one since owner Sienna Lemming set up shop late last year. Already earning the affections, and glowing reviews, of discerning caffeine connoisseurs around the Florida Gardens neck of the woods.

24 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

Sienna’s passion for coffee shines through here, alongside a selection of grab-and-go treats and a snappy menu focused largely on brewed, bean-based sips for your complete caffeination satisfaction. Whether you’re a Cappuccino, Flat White or Iced Latte fan, the refreshment gang’s allll here. For the coffee averse, we will withhold judgement and instead report that coffee adjacent classics – think Fresh Juice, Shakes and Chai Lattes, are also present and very much accounted for. After spending five years honing her craft as a barista, at the ripe old young age of 22, Sienna set her sights on her dream of opening her very own caffeination haven #colourusimpressed. Nestled between Surfers and Broady in Florida Gardens, Sienna discovered the ideal spot to bring her vision of a small takeaway coffee shop to life. Surrounded by arterial roads, Monaco St and Gold Coast Hwy – the central location is ever so convenient to swing by and refuel with your drink of choice. The exterior – clad in crisp, white tiles and complimentary black accents, is instantly

welcoming. With the enchanting aroma of freshly brewed coffee emanating from within, peckish punters are greeted by a deceptively spacious, bright and welcoming space bedecked with olive pops, cascading greenery, and very cool white Besser block walls and cork-studded ceiling. With the sunshine streaming in, pull up a pew along the bench or at the communal high top table, and contemplate your beverage choice… and even attempting to read that sentence pre-caffeination is enough to send you cross eyed, so let’s not keep you a moment longer. There’s a ‘latte’ to love about the compact drinks menu, and numero uno is that we’re not about to be overwhelmed by 18 near identical smoothie iterations. Let’s talk temps, because the Coffee at the Lane selection is all available piping hot, or ice cold, depending on your mood/the time of year. Alongside the regular beverages you can catch a rotating selection of freshly baked goodies such as banana bread – in addition to some indulgent, seasonal creations like the Iced Biscoff Latte Sienna is known for whipping up. If you ask us, there are some very sweet reasons to check back on the reg (like at least once a week). Better keep that keep cup handy, y’know… just in case. Words by Kellie Leader

WE’VE GOT THE SCOOP…ON THE BEST SCOOP IN TOWN! Mermaid’s new gelato shop will make you melt.

G

elato lovers, stay cool and listen up coz you’re about to live the ‘cream. The Gold Coast just got served – soft served, with a brand spanking new gelateria so good you’ll love it un-cone-ditionally. Markeri Street in Mermaid Waters is a whole lot sweeter after La Macelleria opened its doors and we could srsly ‘waffle’ on about this legenDAIRY place all day long. Founded by dynamic duo and gelato buffs Steve and Carolyn OShea, their passion for their craft is palatable, we mean, palpable. Delivering pure sensory bliss, they whip up their artisanal gelato daily using top-notch

26 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

Italian gear right before your eyes. To keep their gelato primo, it is stored the OG way, in a sleek Pozzetti. This is widely regarded as the best way to preserve gelato, and anything that sounds like a fancy set of wheels is a-okay with us. Firm believers that quality is determined by your taste buds, not your peepers, the authentic, fresh taste is the ‘cream’ of the crop. Brought to life aesthetically by Carolyn and Jackson Emblem from Queensland Coast Constructions, walking into La Macelleria is like stepping into a Gelateria straight outta Bologna. The intricate terrazzo benchtop, a work of art in itself, oozes elegance and style. If you’re a fan of outdoor eating and duh, we’re Gold Coasters, there are tables with comfy seating inviting you to chillax in the sunshine. Or, if funky stools inside with the air-con blasting is more your cup of gelato shake (which they also serve), you ‘cone’ do that too! Our vote goes to their signature flavours Bacio and Pistachio, which we prefer to eat like Reese – Witherspoon (bum bum tss).

The gelato shakes mentioned are also shout-out worthy, and their pure Italian espresso is a ‘cream come true’ for those in need of a caffeine kick. Plus, if you’re feeling a bit DIY with your gelato, their upcoming workshops will teach the theoretical principles with practical exercises on machines in their unique Laboratorio Del Gelato. Cool! With 23 years in the industry owning and running Italian restaurants, Steve certainly knows how his shiz about the biz. And when it comes to location, Steve and Carolyn did their due diligence securing digs that place them firmly in the ‘cream team’ of GC hospitality power players. The area boasts a bustling environment, making it the perfect melting pot for locals and visitors alike. They’re all about community, excited to immerse themselves in the local scene, create new jobs, and support nearby clubs and schools through sponsorship activities. Now BrisVegas peeps may recognise the La Macelleria name and rightly so, with two mates (both named Mateo) first bringing the concept to life with stores in Tenerife, West End, and Woolloongabba. Lucky for us, the OShea’s decided to bring ‘the Mateos’ brainchild to our ‘hood, with plans to expand La Macelleria’s footprint in other GC burbs. So let’s all say a big cone-gratulations to La Macelleria Mermaid Waters, which has us all chanting “you scream, I scream, we all scream GELATO”. Words by Bianca Trathen. Images by Belinda Symons.

ESPRESSO YOURSELF

No Name Lane welcomes a brew-tiful sibling cafe.

C

learly, when it comes to darn good coffee (caffeine shakes, be damned) the rules of ‘too much of a good thing’ do not apply, as Broadbeach’s cult fave beverage and cafe bites slinger, No Name Lane, recently branched out to bring us a second venue. Recently welcoming its postcodesharing mini-me, No Name Lane Espresso – just a hop, sip and a jump down the road. The laneway lurking gem, No Name Lane, is a staple among caffeine and croissant fiends across the Coast, and one we clearly can’t get enough of. Fronting Broadbeach’s buzzing Surf Pde strip, No Name Lane Espresso will be the more express-style offshoot of the

30 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

two, with a more compact footprint and menu than it’s namesake big sib. Positioning itself as a convenient pit stop for top notch coffee and grab-and-go cafe classics. The NNL crew cut their teeth churning out a mean cup of coffee – the OG site, nestled beneath the Oracle Broadbeach, quickly amassed a loyal army of addicts by punching out some of the best go-juice you can get on the Coast. The hole-in-the-wall haunt so oft bursting at the seams, the original, pocketrocket sized premises expanded back in 2018 – swallowing up it’s neighbouring tenancy in attempts to keep up with demand. In what was formerly a bit of no-mansland as far as coffee goes, No Name Lane Espresso has strategically situated itself front and centre along one of Broady’s main arteries – leaning into it’s position with a focus on grab-and-go style nosh and an array of (hard and soft) thirst-quenching sips. Though there’s still ample street side seating to be snagged, for those wishing to stay and savour their wares (and/or a cocktail, more like). And don’t be fooled, NNLE is packing just as many cool points as

its predecessor – with a slick, marble and tilestudded fit out to swoon over. Think anything and everything you could hope to see stuffed between – or on top of – fluffy bread (or bread adjacent) slabs – of course, the classic B&E roll, Smashed avo sourdough, and Ham, cheese, tomato croissant all make a cameo (there’d be riots, if not) alongside a respectable spread of Open Melts (cop a Ham, pineapple and cheese for some nostalgia) and turkish bread Toasties. But, if your average, garden variety Toastie is just not gonna cut the mustard, get amongst the range of Gourmet Toasties whipped up by the Janus Deli sando maestros. And look, when it comes to their top tier, signature sangas – either the Reuben Sandwich, pastrami, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, horseradish cream, or the Pulled Pork, coleslaw, BBQ sauce, we’re not about to leave empty handed, are we? ‘Espresso-ly’ with coupled that very sweet $2 No Name Lane coffee upgrade combo – how could we say no? And speaking of complete and utter lack of willpower – there’s also Strawberry-spiked Waffles, and a stalwart selection of cabinetdwellers like Banana Bread and Muffins to sate the sweet cravings. The only problem we see here? One taste of this little-too-convenient location, and next thing you know, you’re subconsciously stopping off for your No Name Lane fix before you even realise you’ve done it. Deadly.

TICKLE YOUR TUM AT YUM CHA

Get your Yum Cha fix at Chevron Renaissance.

lossy dumplings, pillowy, pork-stuffed buns, silken, stir fried noodles – what’s not to love about yum cha? Literally nothing. And if your mouth is already watering at the thought, just wait ‘til you hear that Surfers has scored a new location to get amongst this time-honoured dining ritual, as Yum Cha Chevron Renaissance joins its ranks. Chevron’s Cantonese-style newbie is as legit as they come, brought to you by Marco Hau, a man behind oodles of the authentic feasting locations smattered from here (Robina, more specifically) to Toowoomba – the latest addition officially rounding out his restaurant count to a solid ten. Safe to say we can officially go ahead

32 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

and surrender to those cravings, guys. Expect that hallmark yum cha feasting experience, brimming with delicious dumplings delivered every way you can dream of – alongside steamed, prawn stuffed rice noodles, and crispy Duck Spring Rolls, with some inventive twists thrown in along the way. By now Marco and his crew have got this traditional Cantonese biz down to a ‘dine’ art. Scoping out a solid ten of a location, positioned in the heaving heart of the Surfers action in excellent company among Chevron Renaissance’s array of top notch nosheries. A stalwart spot that will always have a special place in our hearts – shout out to 2 hours free parking, the real MVP. The venue’s sizeable footprint is one that lends itself to gathering groups en masse, special occasions, et al. Spot the signature sky blue finishes, and you’ll know you’re in the right place (though more likely, your nose will alert you long before that). Backdropped by neutral terrazzo pops and cool blue hues, there’s a mix of indoor and outdoor tables and booths bathed in the ambient light of Chevron Renaissance’s alfresco piazza (which has the

added perk of providing impeccable lighting for those of us who love snapping food pics). With those details all covered, we can get to the best part – taking a big ol’ swan dive straight in to the menu. With several pages of enticing dishes to drool over, the classics – such as Congee, XO sauce simmered seafood and sticky, sweet-sour Pork Skewers, are all well and truly accounted for, along with some unexpected, playful takes. The Crescent Dumplings are meticulously presented to mimic a miniature carrot, while the Fried Prawn Cheese Balls are playfully served to look like a pile of lychees. Truly a feast for all the senses here, folks.

When it comes to this fine Cantonese convention, we’re about as confident as a boomer in a comment section that there are two yum cha camps. Big fans and those who are yet to try it, which means no matter which group you fall into, there are about 64 excellent reasons to high tail to Yum Cha Chevron Renaissance… and yes, we are solely referring to the total number of dishes on the menu we counted before we got sidetracked and started mentally preparing our order instead. GET YOUR KOREAN BBQ GRILL ON Appetites at the ready, grill gang! Hwaro92 enters the chat.

I

s it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a username belonging to some rando causing a ruckus in the comment section? No, it’s Hwaro92 – a brand new, Korean BBQ flavour sensation – the latest to join Robina Town Centre’s ranks amid its elevated The Kitchens precinct. Serving authentic flavours designed to transport you to the streets of Seoul, Hwaro92 delivers the traditional, Korean style of barbecue. A hands-on – and addictive – experience, where, with your choice of high-quality cuts at the ready, you

36 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

converge with your crew around a glowing grill to char your mouth-watering selections to perfection (and attempt to keep the salivation levels in check). Also known as “Gogi-gui”, the classic Korean method of cooking is complemented by a selection of specialty dishes from the kitchen such as tender and sweet Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap, Kimchi Fried Rice and Spicy Soft Tofu Soup. So, yep, there’s plenty worth getting fired up over, here folks. And if there’s one thing that’s guaranteed to take food to a whole new level of delectable, it’s some smoky, barbecue goodness. Sear-iously – we challenge you to come up with even one ingredient that doesn’t benefit from being slapped across smoking hot grill. So, whether you’re an old hand at the art of self-seared, melt-in-your-mouth meats, or totally new to the tantalising wonders of Korean fare, Hwaro92 should have the ‘ole tastebud alarms well and truly sounding. Owner Allan Park can certainly stand the heat in this kitchen – his experience doling out

East Asian eats already extends to two venues, including Chermside’s Bulgogi Bros. A grillfocused venture has been a long-term goal driven by Allan’s enthusiasm for carnivorous eats, ‘I love to handle and eat meats’ – and hey, who doesn’t – adding, ‘I’m always buying big cuts of meat… trimming and boning it to get a better cut and different texture’. Of course, at a venue like Hwaro92 it’s the kitchen crew doing all the heavy lifting – so we can swan in and take all the grill glory, Steven Bradbury style. Enlisting the expert skills of Sangbong Seo, a gun, Korean culinary graduate head chef with whom Allan shares a lengthy hospo history. Diners are in excellent hands here. With a fit-out flanked by the ubiquitous sight of grill-adorned tables throughout, the roomy 80 seater is more than equipped to handle the onslaught of flame-licked fare fans. Bedecked in classic black marble and oak finishes, the space – delivered by Yura Choi and Yoon Kang – also includes a 12 pax private area for those looking to gather a group for a delicious, grillstudded celebration. So whatddya say, Gold Coast? Time to get in on some mouth-wateringly good GIY (grill it yourself) action? We thought so. Whether you’re not yet familiar with the flame-kissed wonders of Korean BBQ or a keen connoisseur of the trademark, melt-inyour-mouth marinated meats – it’s high time we all met Hwaro92.

CAFFEINATED AND READY FOR TAKEOFF Merlo Coffee Roasters lands at Gold Coast Airport.

B

y now you’ve surely seen the Gold Coast Airport’s glow-up *chefs kiss*. We’re especially fans of a glow-up when it brings coffee to the table – literally. Put your landing gear down because there’s a new coffee joint in town and we’re here to spill the beans. Enter: Merlo Coffee Roasters, delivering that iconic Queensland Merlo flavour you know and love. There are two distinct types of airport people. We all know the first – they’re at the airport three hours before their flight in case something crazy happens like, you know, every single road to get you there shuts down and you need the extra time.

38 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

We like to call these the parents of the group, either literally or figuratively. The second prefers to skate in by the skin of their teeth and we swear they always travel together. So if you’ve bean looking for somewhere to caffeinate pre-flight, Merlo Coffee Roasters is your saviour. Settle in for a coffee or a cheeky bite to eat. Nestled at the airport’s entrance, this chic café, operated by Airport Retail Enterprises, is a very welcome addition to the everexpanding roster of exciting venues at the bustling travel hub that is Gold Coast Airport. It’s also the only coffee spot in the airport where you can grab a brew and bite before you head through customs, making it the perfect pit stop for if you’ve got anyone popping in to bid you goodbye. It’s also the place where you can get your hands on one of Social Eating House’s Signature Lamb Empanadas or Slipper Lobster Rolls, iconic additions to the menu from one of our fave restaurateurs Matt Jefferson who has collaborated with the Merlo Gold Coast Airport crew to deliver the snack goods. We won’t even call you shellfish for refusing

to share with your travel buddies. One of our favourite things about Merlo Gold Coast Airport is their commitment to locally sourced products, so you know you’re getting the freshest food from some of the finest growers. These mouthwatering creations showcase the culinary artistry that sets this café apart because we know sometimes you just want something more than the classic airport toastie. And for the coffee aficionados, indulge in the signature Merlo Coffee and frappes, a perfect blend of flavour and buzz, because why else are you drinking coffee? Let’s be real. The café’s interior, designed by AC Fitouts, encapsulates the distinctive branding of Merlo Coffee with its signature blue and black colour scheme. The ambience seamlessly blends comfort with sophistication, so you’ll want to stay all day – well that is until take off at least. If you’re more about soaking up that fresh Bilinga air, there are loads of outdoor options with space for 40 customers both inside and outside, so there’s loads of room if you’re travelling with the whole clan. Whether you’re looking to savour a leisurely meal or grab a quick takeaway, the café caters to all tastes and timelines, opening its doors every day from 5am until the last check-in. Merlo Coffee Roasters at Gold Coast Airport is so much more than just a café. It’s a destination for both coffee and culinary enthusiasts so you can get that restaurant quality feel before you take flight and I guess you could say we love it a latte.

Let’s fly!

A bigger, better airport experience has landed – Gold Coast Airport’s world-class terminal expansion is officially open! T

hink you’ve seen and done absolutely every attraction under the sun here on the GC? Oh contraire, fun seekers – because House Down Under, a brand new, brain-bending funhouse has come to town, flipping our fun prospects on their head entirely. Australia’s favourite inverted house photo experience, House Down Under, has just landed in Broadbeach – and quite precariously so, we might add. If the surreal sight of an about-face abode, perilously teetering on its rooftop just outside of Pacific Fair had you doing a double take in recent

40 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

weeks – no, your eyes do not deceive you. Well, until you step inside, that is. The two story, interactive experience offers a dizzying array of quirky installations for families and photo op seekers to explore, with the totally flipped rooms providing plenty of one-of-a-kind backdrops to commemorate the whacky and whimsical experience. Consider this your reminder to finally deal with those pesky full phone storage alerts – you’ll need it as you get snap-happy striking enough poses to make a surly teen mutter something about being ‘cringe’ (as is the prerogative of parents everywhere). Create and capture unforgettable memories navigating your way through the perplexing perspectives of a flipped kid’s room, entry way, lounge room, bedroom and kitchen area… and hold the ‘throne’ – there’s even an upsidedown loo bringing a whole new meaning to toilet humour. Like scenes straight from a fever dream, it’s House Down Under’s realistic finishes and attention to detail that really seal the deal. With plenty of fun, interactive props so you can

ham it up with all the hilarity of a Thank God You’re Here ep along the way. The only limit is your imagination as you venture through this curious chalet – defy gravity as you strike a pose jumping off the ceiling, or perhaps appear as if you’re levitating, sci-fi style. Make the most of the experience, the HDU team is on hand to help and provide plenty of perspective-bending pointers – so no worries about nailing those mind-boggling shots, y’all. Finally, our chance to live out those Next Top Model fantasies. Our favourite part? With no limit to how long you can spend inside the house, there’s absolutely no rush to get *the* perfect pic for the ’gram. Centrally positioned in the heart of Broadbeach, the oh-so-convenient Pacific Fair location is coupled with extended opening hours running from 10am through to 6pm daily. Running out of the Purple Carpark (near 7-Eleven), the sky (or the ceiling-turned-floor) truly is the limit on the fun to be had at this topsy-turvy encounter. From aspiring influencers on the hunt for scroll-stopping content, to absolutely anyone looking for some good old fashioned family fun, with the many jaw-dropping photo ops on offer – the fantastical House Down Under experience is not one you’ll soon forget. The unexpected and unique experience will appeal to everyone from aspiring influencers to those looking to share some fantastical antics with their crew. Words by Kellie Leader

YOUR (RIVER)FRONT ROW SEATS TO SUNSET SIPS

Driftwood Social is our poolside perfect 10.

W

ith so many things to see, do, eat and sip, here on the GC, it’s easy for the existence of our stalwart faves to slip our minds, particularly those spirit-slinging, secret-poolside-havens that hide themselves so well, they may have flown under the radar entirely. Driftwood Social is one such gem hiding in plain sight, tucked just off Ferny Ave bringing blissed-out, Miami pool club vibes to the banks of the Nerang River – and if it’s been a while between drinks, this secluded social spot is every bit as lush as you remember. So join us in giving a big ‘ole “Omg-howare-youuuu-it’s-so-good-to-see-you!” to our steadfast waterfront sippery, serving up crowd-favourite retro cocktails, poolside eats, and a superior waterfront vantage which isn’t too hard on the peepers either. Prepare to be smitten all over again… we can smell the relaxation (with a faint hint of sunset margs, if we’re being honest) from here.

42 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

For the uninitiated, let us set the scene – our first taste of Driftwood Social came in 2017, via a revamp of Vibe Hotel and it’s open air site snaking along the Surfers Paradise riverfront. The previously under utilised grounds have emerged triumphant as ever, as a secluded luxe destination and newfound social hub. These days, the venue switches seamlessly between alfresco and indoor spaces, sporting poolside cabanas, giant lawn games, chilled-out tunes and an old-school surf themed bar (a far superior use of the riverfront proximity, in our humble opinion). The reimagined communal space has graciously invited locals and hotel guests alike, to perch up and engage max relaxation mode ever since – and are vicarious holiday vibes not one of the greatest perks of living on the GC? To be ‘clear’ (specifically clear, blue and sparkling…) we are talking the full ‘mi casa, su casa’ dealio here, with all Driftwood Social patrons also granted full pool access. So either cool off with a poolside drink or a dip... or both #decisionsdecisions A killer location is another notable perk here, one of those rare ‘central-but-chill’ unicorn spots – convenient for gathering BFFs smattered across the city, but still rife for

relaxation, sidestepping the frenetic pace of Cavill Ave a few streets away. A stacked menu is another real drawcard, and don’t be tempted to assume we’re talking basic bar bites here. Executive chef Joel Ramiro Bonino, whose CV reads more like a passport, has crafted a comprehensive and vibrant menu of light and refreshing dishes, as well as shared platters that will cater to all tastes. Of course there’s a solid selection of light bites and snacks like Mushroom Arancini and Peri Peri Fried Chicken, designed to seamlessly alternate with sips of your favourite cocktail or Champagne. But if you’re in the mood for more, the likes of the Linguine Alla Vodka And Prawns or the Driftwood Burger will do the trick, with a selection of kid-friendly faves on offer for the little tackers too. To drink – think sparkling sips, poolside cocktail classics, and house specialties like the Driftwood Dreams (ginger & rhubarb gin, violette liquer, peach liquer, pineapple juice, lime juice, foaming agent) and Strawberry Refresher (pink gin, elderflower liquer, white chocolate liquer, lemon juice, sugar, and muddled fresh strawberries). Suddenly, we’re feeling very thirsty… *hey google, what time will sunset be today?* It’s safe to say Driftwood Social really has everything. Just don’t forget the towel (or thirst). YOUR VENUE FOR SUSTAINABLE & STATE-OF-THE-ART EVENTS Robina Events Centre are leading the way in eco-friendly events.

F

rom networking events to nuptials, it’s always advantageous to keep abreast of the various function and event spaces on offer on the GC – particularly if you’re an email slinging, card-carrying member of the corporate world. If you’re in the latter camp, you probably understand all too well that an events venue that ticks all the boxes can be surprisingly hard to come by – which is why you need to know about Robina Events Centre – a state-of-theart, sustainably minded event space. Centrally located within TAFE Queensland Robina campus, the innovative venue is one of the newest, and most exciting additions to our events scene. In the few short years since

44 | insidegoldcoast.com.au

its inception in 2021, Robina Events Centre (REC) has set the bar as a progressive space shaking up the way professionals meet and connect on the Coast. In our constantly changing corporate landscape, the needs of businesses and professionals are as diverse as they are ever evolving. With everything from environmental practices to tech requirements to consider – REC boasts a variety of versatile facilities and spaces – including eight multi-purpose function rooms that can effortlessly adapt to events of all scales and types. It’s a forwardthinking approach to sustainability that really sets Robina Events Centre apart, with a refreshing, future-focused ethos at the forefront of everything they do. Of the extensive facilities on offer, the largest is the magnificent Anna Rose Room. With the capacity to facilitate up to 300 guests, the multi-purpose, pillarless room has been designed with flexibility in mind – adapting to a multitude of configurations or dividing down to suit smaller functions. The REC perks also extend to a variety of

cutting-edge amenities – such as an expansive foyer, a fully equipped interactive demonstration kitchen, a purpose-built theatre, breakout rooms, a roof top bar and restaurant and on-site café… the perfect pick-me-up to keep the inspiration flowing after a day of corporate hijinks. For entities and individuals who are also passionate about championing eco-conscious practices, it’s in this area that the change-leading REC shines brighter than a (renewably powered) spotlight on a keynote speaker. Fitted with 250 solar panels and dedicated EV charging stations, the venue has been thoughtfully designed to minimise environmental impact, in addition to ongoing sustainability measures, such as menus designed around locally sourced produce, closed loop composting and plastic-free practices. It’s an ethos that’s evident everywhere you look – right down to the array of projectors and digital sharing options fitted throughout. The venue has also opted for eco-conscious materials wherever possible, such as the breakout spaces which proudly showcase reclaimed railway planks, and furnishing selections chosen for their high recycled content. Impressively, REC also converts all its food waste into nutrient rich compost, which is then donated to a local community garden. The passionate REC crew are just as eager about imparting their eco expertise to help hosts reach their sustainability goals, too – including a free guide which outlines their top ten tips for holding a sustainable event. Combining environmentally conscious practices with leading-edge facilities? We think you’ll a-green, Robina Events Centre sets an impressive new standard for functions on the GC.

The Robina Events Centre (REC) is a state-of-the-art events centre with eight multi-purpose rooms, perfect for something small to something grand. Our experienced team work closely with you to ensure your event is memorable for all the right reasons. We take pride in our commitment to excellence. TAKE A BREAK & BINGE ON THESE … Our local experts have found you the perfect trio you’ll become obsessed with!

K

ate Brody’s debut novel presents a stark insight into our societal obsession with true crime and its tendency to distil the lives of real people into characters taking part in the latest binge-worthy thriller. It has been ten years since the disappearance of Theordora “Teddy” Angstrom’s teenage sister, Angie, and her family are doing their best to cope with the unimaginable tragedy that plagues them. After Teddy’s father passes under unfortunate circumstances, the protagonist begins to dive into the mountingly suspicious details he kept hidden from his wife and daughter. When a young girl with a questionable connection to Teddy’s sister and father coincides with the reemergence of a figure from her past, the protagonist’s life spirals into an obsession she can’t, and won’t, control. Not if it means finding out what happened to Angie. The tangled web Rabbit Hole weaves will have you desperate to find out what really happened all those years ago, even if it means falling down the rabbit hole yourself. BOOK: Rabbit Hole by Kate Brody RRP $32.99.

C

hardonnay is probably the greatest and most-known white grape variety. This grape variety is so versatile, that it is responsible for a wide range of wine styles – starting from acidic and refreshing to full-bodied and opulent. One of our obsessions at the moment is the Mandala Chardonnay 2021 from the Yarra Valley. White stone fruit and citrus, little fresh vanilla bean with great depth and a gentle creaminess through the mid palate. Yellow peach with balanced oak characters and cleansing acidity, with a long structured finish. Great value drinking. WINE: Mandala Chardonnay 2021 RRP: $30. Available at Somm Wine Store, 2245 Gold Coast Hwy, Mermaid Beach. T: 07 5647 6057

Available at Bookface, Pacific Fair. T: 07 5592 1700

M

y most recent obsession is our newest 2024 product line – snack-sized chocolate treats packed into beautifully designed pouches. With three flavour varieties including milk chocolate hazelnuts and wafer, dark chocolate cherries with coconut, and milk chocolate almonds with spices – there’s a flavour to suit everyone’s craving. Right now, I’d kill for a pack of the cherries. These have a dried sour cherry center coated in layers of fine dark chocolate and coconut. It’s a mysteriously good flavour combination and will stand the test of time in my books. It’s rich, tangy, textured and incredibly indulgent as well as being the perfect companion for solving late night crime. You’ll find that these chocolates are available in 50g, snack-sized pouches and sealed for ultimate freshness. Curl up in your book nook, grab a pouch of Little Cocoa’s chocolates and fall down the rabbit hole of decadently-delicious dark chocolate delight! CHOCOLATE: Dark chocolate cherries coconut, 50g RRP $7.
