LUCILLE MARIE Lucille Marie Scott was born Lucille Marie Hubbard on December 8, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was born to the proud parents of Joseph Theodore Hubbard, Jr. and Marie Lewis Hubbard. Lucille went by many names; “Ma”, “Mama Scott” or as she recently started affectionately calling herself, “Cille S.”. She spent the latter portion of her life residing in New York City, but she never forgot her New Orleans roots!

Lucille was known for her smile, kindness and how pleasant she was to whoever she met. She also was very witty and had a great sense of humor. She could make you laugh at the most unexpected times and she would laugh right along with you. Her laugh was full and warm and like the sweetest melody. Underneath this warmth was a strength of ten fighters. She was someone always self-improving and even after 75 years found new ways to grow and evolve.

As a child, Lucille loved animals. She was always rescuing stray dogs, cats, and other small animals and nursing them back to health. At one time, some would say she had a small animal farm. Lucille transitioned from this life on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Jacobi Medical Center in the She attended public school in New Orleans. New Bronx, New York.
