2015 Governing Council Student Nominations An effective way to enhance your overall student experience at the University of Toronto is to become involved in governance as an elected member of the Governing Council. Governors are collectively and individually stewards of the University and are asked to contribute to decisions that affect the University’s current and future achievements. Students are eligible to serve if they are Canadian citizens and registered at the University for full-time or part-time study in a program that leads to a degree, post-secondary diploma or certificate. If you have previously served in a leadership role in a recognized campus group or a student society and wish to develop your skills further, this might be the next step for you in out-of-classroom experience as a student. But previous experience of this kind is not a requirement. Nomination forms will be available at the UofT Governing Council website between 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 6th and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13th. Paper copies will be available in the Office of the Governing Council, Room 106, Simcoe Hall, 27 King's College Circle.
