YEAR IN REVIEW:
INTRODUCING: Lucy Lin
Congratulations, Innis, on the completion of the 2015-2016 school year! There has been so much that has happened at Innis College since this school year began.
Hello Innis, for the last time! I’m Lucy, and I’ve been your Newsletter Layout Editor and Student Life Graphic Designer for the past 3 years. I’ll be graduating this June from U of T from the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Program, so you’ll have a new Graphic Designer come next year!
In 2015, Innis received a new Principal: Principal Charlie Keil! He has been warmly welcomed. Innis also gained two new administrators in the Innis College Office of Student Life: Assistant Dean, Admissions & Operations, Jordan MacQuarrie and Residence Life Coordinator, Sonja Smiljanic. They are (almost) always in the Office in order to communicate with students, so do not be afraid to say hello! The student councils at Innis – the Innis College Student Society, and the Innis Residence Council – and the Office of Student Life, provided the Innis student body with a breadth of events, catered to a variety of interests. These events, big and small – from Orientation Week in September, to Innis Formal in February, to Innis Bang! in April – helped to create an experience at the University of Toronto that was unique to Innis College. Those who put the time and effort into the creation of these events deserve a huge “thank you”. A gigantic THANK YOU also goes out to every student who takes the time to be involved in the Innis Community. This issue of the Innis Student Life eNewsletter is simply going to take a look back on some the moments from this year; moments you made together. Kristen Rachuk – Editor, Student Life eNewsletter
I want to thank everyone for making Innis what it is. The Innis community has contributed directly and indirectly to the best experiences I’ve had at U of T – from the excitement of living in residence (and winning the house cup twice!), to being the place where I’ve met the best friends I could imagine having. I’m so glad that I picked this college, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Thank you, Innis, for being awesome! It’s been an honour and a pleasure to serve as your Graphic Designer. Now go enjoy your summer!
