WHAT YOU MISSED!

INTRODUCING: Maddie Freedman

HEY INNIS! Are you getting back into the swing of things?! Innis came back with a bang – taking advantage of the low(er)-stress start-ofsemester to host, and participate in, a ton of events! This included the UofTwide ‘welcome back’ celebration, Winterfest – as shown! There was also a variety of Innis-specific events, like the ICSS + OSL Commuter Winter Warm Up that featured pies and Principal Keil, and POP START! - Frosh 2.0 that reconnected frosh and frosh leaders over sushi, mocktails, karaoke, and k-pop!

My name is Maddie Freedman, and I’m the programming assistant for the OSL. My position involves working in the residence office with Sarah, the Assistant Dean of Student Life, to facilitate most of the programming that happens at Innis. My position has helped me to stay involved with the Innis community while living off campus, since I always know what’s happening, and I work closely with a lot of the people you see on the councils. It’s also really great to be able to help make all the amazing things around Innis happen! It’s shown me how you can still be really involved in the community behind the scenes, and how much work goes into everything that most people don’t even see.

Even if you missed out on those events (getting a school-time routine back can be difficult…). There are many, many more coming up! Keep reading – you’re sure to find something exciting!
