Innis Celebrates Une Nuit à Paris! This past Friday, Innis was dressed to the nines and celebrated a glamorous night in Paris! Students dazzled in their finest attire as they enjoyed a delicious 3 course dinner at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex. Congratulations to ICSS Social directors Khrystyna Zhuk and Nicole Torneiro for organizing an enchanting night full of wonderful people and fun and a huge "Thank you!" to Jasmine Denike for designing the wonderful tickets and posters, as well as Yuto Takaoka for capturing all the wonderful moments and memories with his fantastic photos.

Save the Date: Student Leadership Conference SATURDAY, MAY 11TH and SUNDAY, MAY 12TH University of Toronto, Mississauga Now in its 15th year, the Student Leadership Conference is coordinated by students and staff from the various campuses, colleges, and faculties throughout U of T. The Student Leadership Conference (SLC) brings together elected/appointed students from student societies/unions, residence councils, and various boards and governing bodies across all three campuses. The conference program includes a variety of workshops, discussions, and featured speakers. There is also an emphasis on creating opportunities for students to meet U of T staff and other student leaders, network, and establish relationships for future collaboration.

Community Outreach Spring Cleaning Clothing Swap SUNDAY, MARCH 16TH 6:00 PM Events Room, Innis Residence, 111 St. George St. Spring Cleaning doesn't have to mean getting rid of your old clothes! Why not upgrade your wardrobe instead? Come on out to Innis Clothes Swap with any gently worn clothing that you no longer want. You can trade your items for currency and use it to upgrade your wardrobe! There will be changing-rooms to try on potential clothes, as well as workshops for mending tears and turning T-shirts into pillows. Any clothes that are left behind will be donated to Goodwill, as long as they are in good condition.

Innis WUSC Applications are Now Out! Deadline: FRIDAY, MARCH 14TH 5:00 PM Community Outreach is now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Innis World University Service of Canada (WUSC) Committee. Available positions include Treasurer, Promotions Director, Shine a Light Event Coordinator, and Bike for Aids Event Coordinator. Innis College Choir’s Magical Musical Tour SATURDAY, MARCH 15TH 2:30 PM East Common Room, Hart House, 7 Hart House Circle. Free Admission, Donations Accepted Join the Innis College Choir in their final performance of the 2013-14 year and revel in an historic jaunt through pop music of the 20th and 21st century. Refreshments will be provided and admission is free. Donations will be accepted for the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC).

DIY Ceramic Mug Workshop WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19TH 7:00 PM Events Room, Innis Residence, 111 St. George St. $5 per person, space is limited Love painting? Come out to the DIY Ceramic Mugs workshop to make your very own customized mug! This means you will get an opportunity to paint a ceramic mug which will then be fired in a kiln and become shiny. The cost for this event is $5.00 per person, which includes a mug and all painting supplies you require plus the cost of firing the mug. Spirituality and Diversity 30 Hour Famine THURSDAY, MARCH 6TH, 2:00 PM — 5 PM Multi-Faith Activity Hall, Multi-Faith Centre, 569 Spadina Crescent FRIDAY, MARCH 7TH, 6:30 PM — 9:30 PM Centre for Social Innovation, 720 Bathurst St. 30 Hour Famine has been happening all across the world for a number of decades to raise awareness about hunger issues and now, in collaboration with Oxfam, World Vision Campus will be holding one for U of T students. The fast will begin on March 6th 2pm 5pm at the Multi-Faith Activity Hall with a series of fun activities to educate participants about hunger issues and will end at Oxfam's Hunger Banquet the next day.

Film Festival FRIDAY, MARCH 14TH and FRIDAY, MARCH 21ST 3:30PM — 5:00PM Innis Town Hall The selected documentary films feature the City of Toronto or UofT, and offer stories of gender queer, LGBT, Jewish, Christian, Queer seniors, Jamaican LGBT human rights and radical queers, and featuring the Toronto premiere of “Big Joy”, the story of James Boughton. CIE Tax Clinics for International Students MONDAY, MARCH 10TH—FRIDAY, APRIL 4TH 11:00 AM — 4:00 PM Centre for International Experience, 33 St. George St. The Centre for International Experience (CIE) is running its annual tax clinics from March 10th to April 4th for international students at the university. The volunteerrun clinic will be on a drop-in basis from 11am to 4pm daily at the CIE. International students wishing to learn more about the tax systems, the advantages of filing taxes as well as getting help through the filing process are welcome to come. Ticket start at $10 for graduating students ONLY from March 10th through March 13th and increases to $15 for graduating students and $20 for upper year students (year 3+) from March 17th through March 20th. Campus Events Your Experience is Important Throughout February and March all first- and senior-year undergraduate students will be asked to participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). This is the fifth time U of T has participated in NSSE – a survey now used by all Ontario universities and Canadian peer universities to measure the quality of undergraduate education. The results of this survey are used to identify the strengths of a U of T education as well as identify priorities for change. Students will receive an email from U of T President Meric Gertler asking them to participate in the survey. If you receive the email, please respond promptly and honestly. Residence Innis Residence Leadership Award Deadline: FRIDAY, MARCH 14TH 12:00 PM The Innis Residence Leadership Award is to be awarded to an outstanding full-time, first-year undergraduate student living in the Innis Residence during the current 2013-14 academic year and registered in the Faculty of Arts and Science or in a firstentry. The student must be nominated by his/her peers as an emerging leader; an emerging leader is self-motivated, inspires others, demonstrates initiative resulting in community-building, takes inclusive action that values and respects differences, and acts as a caring and responsible citizen of the residence community. Nominations must be received by the Residence Office no later than Friday, March 14th, at 12:00 PM. The nomination forms can be found at the Front Desk or be downloaded here.
