Meet Lamorna Dudding, President of the Innis Residence Council! I’m Lamorna and I’m your IRC President for this year. I love to travel, explore and to try new things. I’m from a small, quiet town in the UK, so I love Toronto because there’s ALWAYS something happening, or something new to see. I’m in my third year at UofT, and it’s also my third year on the IRC. I aim to work together to make this an amazing year! I work at the front desk at Innis Residence, and I’m always around the building, so feel free to stop me if you have any questions, or even just to say hi!

Featured Attention all Innis College Graduates! If you are planning to graduate June 2014, the window to request graduation on ROSI closes Thursday, December 5th. After that date, you have to visit or contact the Registrar's Office for information and help. Grad Photos will be taken in the Events Room of Innis Residence during the week of Jan 6th. You must have your photo taken to appear in the Graduating Class Composite. Included in your photo session are 9 unique digital online proofs and an 11x14 copy of the class composite. The sitting fee is $20.00. Hard copy proofs may be purchased for an additional $5.00 if desired. You must sign up online to book your appointment. To do so, visit http://www.lassmanstudios.com/dcs_sched/default.asp and enter in14 in the school ID to access the schedules (click on 2014). Find a time that is convenient for you and book it. If you are a fall graduate or cannot make it to that photo session, please contact questions@lassmanstudios.com to arrange for an alternate date/time for your grad photo session. Ladies, please wear a white shirt or blouse. Gentlemen, please wear a white shirt and tie. Robes, degree hoods, and traditional graduation props will be available for you at your shoot. Turn Your Initiative Into a Reality! Now accepting applications Have a great idea for activity at U of T and need some funds to make it happen? The Student Initiative Fund (SIF) offers financial support to projects that enhance the student experience and foster a sense of community at the University of Toronto. A committee of students and staff will review requests of up to $5000 and award funds for projects, events or activities that will benefit students at the U of T St. George campus. In order to be eligible for funding, projects should: •

contribute positively to the University of Toronto student experience

reach a broad student community,

add value to the University of Toronto community,

and broadly align with the University of Toronto’s mission, vision and values as outlined in the University’s Statement of Purpose (http://www.governingcouncil.utoronto.ca/policies/mission.htm )

Innis Review Seeking Editors Deadline: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31ST No experience Necessary Becoming a part of The Innis Review team as part of the editorial board is an excellent way to get involved with Innis College! You will have the opportunity to improve your writing and revision skills, as well as meet and work with other writers and editors. Your duties on the editorial board will include attending general meetings, providing input on which submissions should be published, and helping writers edit and make any necessary revisions to their work before it becomes published. No previous experience is necessary. Live Well to Learn Well THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17TH 12:00 PM — 8:00 PM Hart House, 7 Hart House Circle Free Admission! It's no surprise that personal health and wellness plays a huge role in a student's academic success. At Live Well to Learn Well, a team of U of T health advocates will lead a variety of workshops, seminars and talks designed to help you explore your personal health, learn about becoming a health advocate, and foster a healthier campus. The day kicks off with a lunch and then offers a variety of sessions that allow each participant to customize their Live Well to Learn Well experience, and ends with dinner featuring keynote speaker, Cameron Norman, faculty member with the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. Participants select one workshop from each of the following three areas of focus: •

Self Care workshops that explore personal health and wellness topics such as Cooking on a Budget

Working with Others workshops that teach how to collaborate and encourage others to pursue a healthy lifestyle

Design for Change workshops that enable participants to become an advocate for healthy communities

Post a Letter Social Activity Club (PALSAC) PALSAC is exactly how it sounds. Show up and write a letter or two with a group of other people also writing letters. By letters, we mean anything that involves the postal system: a postcard, a personal letter, a political letter, a package, a special occasion card, fan mail, mail art, prank mail, or something experimental. International and domestic students are invited to get unplugged from email and take the time to sit down and write that postcard that they’ve been putting off, or a letter to a long lost friend. Domestic students can connect with a distant friend; perhaps one they met on exchange! Stamps and postcards will be made available for U of T students. Hart house is opening their doors for the creepiest night of the year, and it's going to be unforgettable. The Hart House of Horrors is the biggest Halloween event on campus with two floors of non-stop action! DJ Caff will take over the Great Hall and crystal balls, palm readings, horrors movies, tarot readings and even a seance will be hiding in the darkest corners of Hart House.
