Harold’s House Takes Center Stage Last Monday, Innis hosted its third Harold’s House of the year. This open mic night showcased some of the many amazingly talented students of Innis College. Performers of all levels and styles were welcomed as listeners were treated to a diverse set list ranging from the traditional choral harmonies of the Innis College Choir with their rendition of Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up,” to the creative acoustic version of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” performed by Misan Lee and Herman Tang, to the Natalya Gunaratne’s impassioned cover of Etta James’ “At Last.” Other performers gave Innis students a truly unique performance by singing their own compositions, including senior don, Garrett Morgan and first year, Kurt Grunsky. Harold’s House once again demonstrated that Innis Students’ talents know no bounds.

Meet Shahin, Josephine, and Dan: Founders of the Innis Trivia Club Hello everyone! We are the co-founders of the Innis Trivia Club. We were introduced to trivia competitions last year, and it was a lot of fun and a great way to get to know people, and we thought it would be awesome to have a club for it at Innis, and voilà! We made a club for it! Really, it is that easy to make a new club. If you want to make one, talk to the wonderful Amy Sullivan and she’ll help you out. We hold trivia competitions on a monthly basis, so come by for good times and prizes. rd As for us personally, Shahin is a 3 year commuter student specializing in neuroscience with a minor in psychology. Josephine is also in rd her 3 year majoring in neuroscience with a double minor in Cinema Studies and Computer rd Science. Dan is in his 3 year majoring in biophysics. We all spend an unhealthy amount of time with each other—we even have a band together: Beaches Gone Wilde. Come see us at the next Harold’s House and come to our next trivia event for an incredibly good time.
