Mentorship Apply Today to take part in the Inaugural Innis College Mentorship Program! Deadline: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17TH A first-of-its-kind mentorship program is coming to Innis College. We are looking for enthusiastic upper-year students of Innis College, the Cinema Studies Institute, or the Urban Studies Program. As a student mentee you would be paired with an alumnus/alumna of the Innis community, whose career reflects your interests and aspirations upon graduation. This is an excellent opportunity for you to gather valuable and individual career advice from someone who has been in your shoes. PROGRAM DETAILS: • • • • • •

One-to-one pairings of students and alumni Program runs from late Jan to early Apr 2015 Monthly interactions with your Mentor (expected minimum) Multiple modes of interaction are possible (e.g., in-person, email, live chat) Mentee Orientation & Launch Reception on Thurs 29 Jan 2015 Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, December 17th

Skills for Success Re-orientation: Paths Beyond Your POSt MONDAY, JANUARY 12TH – FRIDAY, JANUARY 16TH Feeling a little lost on what to do after graduation? Paths Beyond your POST is a series of events to help 2nd year students find the pathways leading beyond their specialist, major and minor programs. This Faculty-wide event gives students an opportunity to get involved in workshops, information fairs and panel discussions on student leadership programs, research & exchange opportunities and graduate school and career options. These events help our students stay calm, cool, healthy and collected while taking advantage of all the academic and non-academic opportunities available. c Community Outreach ICSS Presents: Therapy Dogs! MONDAY, DECEMBER 8TH 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM Innis College Commuter Lounge, 2 Sussex Avenue ICSS Community Outreach is happy to announce that just in time for exams, Therapy Dogs from St John Ambulance will be visiting Innis College! Stop by before or after your exam and de-stress with puppies! Donations are encouraged, so bring some spare change if you have it. Arts & Culture Submit your Creative Works to the Innis Review! Deadline: SATURDAY, JANUARY 10TH, 2015 The Innis Review is seeking essays, creative writing, photography and artwork for its upcoming Spring edition! Submissions are open to all Innis College students, students enrolled in Innis College courses or programs (ex. Writing and Rhetoric, Cinema Studies), and any students living at Innis Residence. For essay submissions, please include an abstract, course code/name, instructor's name, and citations. For photography submissions, please ensure that each photo file is high-resolution and under 6 MB. All submissions should be sent to innisreview@gmail.com no later than January 10, 2015. There will be prizes for the best written piece and best photo/artwork! Good luck!

Free Friday Films! CINSSU Presents: Guidance FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5TH 7:00 PM Alumni Hall, 121 St. Joseph Street 'GUIDANCE' is Pat Mills' first feature and screened this year at TIFF 2014. We're giving you the chance to see the film's first Toronto screening on December 5th, where Pat Mills (writer/director/lead actor) will join us for a special Q & A following the screening. As usual, attendance is FREE and seats are first-come, first-served.

International English Communication Program: Winter 2015 JANUARY 26TH – APRIL 10TH $15 / Course The English Communication Program (ECP) is a non-credit program that gives U of T students the opportunity to further develop their communication skills in English, gain insight into Canadian culture and life at the University of Toronto (U of T), and share cross-cultural experiences. Classes are facilitated by a team of volunteers who have teaching, cross-cultural and/ or international experience. There is a $15 fee per course ($50 for PostDoctoral and Visiting Research Students).The ECP 2015 Winter session will run from January 26 to April 10. ICSS Save the Date for Winterfest! Kick off the new semester with Winterfest 2015 - an annual weeklong festival featuring cross-campus events and activities for U of T students. Last year we had an open mic night, pancake breakfast, club nights‌ and many more fantastic events! Winterfest takes place in the early weeks back from break in January. Innis Residence Innis Christmas Potluck SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6TH 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Innis Residence Events Room, 111 St. George Street The Innis Residence Christmas Potluck is an annual event brought to you by the IRC every Christmas. It’s really easy to participate! Just bring some food – homemade or bought! This is an excellent to chance to get out and spend time with your neighbours during this festive season. Exam Jam - Dec 2014 MONDAY, DECEMBER 8TH – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19TH Innis Residence Events Room Join us for some exam time relief weeknights starting December 8 19 for an hour at 8pm in the Events Room! Whether its yoga, gingerbread houses, arts and crafts or video games there will be something for everybody who needs an hour to get away and meet up with Innis friends. Schedule of events will be posted outside the Events Room at the Residence soon!

Good Food Boxes Hey Innis! Ever seen the stacks of green boxes in the lobby and wondered how you could get your own? Well, now's your chance! The Environmental committee is currently organizing the Spring semester Good Food Box order. The GFB is a cheap way to get fresh fruit and veggies every other week that also supports the local community and helps the environment. There will be 6 deliveries (Jan 14, 28; Feb 11, 25; March 11, 25) the prices are: $108 large, $78 small, $306 large organic, $144 small organic, and $78 fruit. If you are currently receiving the GFB and wish to reorder, change your order, or stop please email: julia.miller@mail.utoronto.ca. The deadline to order is DECEMBER 19TH. Please have the money in exact change by December 19th at 9pm, suite 323. The earlier the better. Thank you!
