Introducing “THE GLOBAL ODYSSEY”: An innovative 5-day Seminar At the start of the MBA Program, an MBA Institute Cross Campus (Paris, London, Chicago) interactive video and live conference with outside speakers on the theme of “Globalization”. This “Odyssey” ends with a 5-day seminar at the end of the second semester. This seminar explores contemporary globalization both theoretically and empirically. It helps to understand how various global pressures contribute to wide-ranging changes at local, national, regional, supranational and ‘global’ levels. Students will be provided with the opportunity to focus upon areas of globalization that are of particular interest to them. By employing an interdisciplinary approach that is required to understand the nature of global processes, students will then develop their own understanding and interpretation of contemporary social change. Some topics of the “Global Odyssey” Globalization, Imperialism and Post colonialism

Internships and In-Company Projects

Internships Year one is entirely concentrated on acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge, however with no company immersion. It is nevertheless possible for students who wish to do so, to do either a full-time internship during the summer of their first year, or a part-time internship throughout the year, as on-campus presence is required only three days per week. This way, the program allows students time for course preparation, work or internship. The internship in year two will be a minimum of five months and maximum twelve months. This internship, a prerequisite to obtain the MBA, must be in close link with the concentration chosen by the student. Students that choose “Entrepreneurship”, have the possibility to do an internship in Marketing or Finance, or use their time entirely to focus on their project of creating a business start-up.

In-Company Projects The end-of-year Project is a mission to be carried out in close cooperation with a company. In small groups, students will have to search for a mission in relation to their respective specialties, by prospecting French or International companies. Students are asked at the end of their mission, to deliver an oral professional presentation with group reports and PowerPoint. This presentation will have to be delivered in front of a jury consisting of professors and company directors. It is the occasion for the students to apply skills, knowledge and know-how acquired over the year, and to be able to carry out a mission confided to them by the company.

Personal and Professional Development Writing Great Cover Letters, CV’s and International Job Interview Techniques. Speaking in Public & Powerful Professional Presentations The Personal Development Plan The MBA program in Global Business & Leadership gravitates around and puts the accent on not only the “Global Aspect”, but also the “Human Aspect” in international key positions and leadership roles, whether in the domain of Marketing, Finance, and Project Management & Entrepreneurship. After having followed the program, students will be ready to face the tasks and challenges of their respective job functions, positions and fields, wherever in the world they wish to pursue their careers.
