Art & culture The Bureau for the Arts-let your talents shine
The Bureau for the Arts (BDA) groups all the cultural and artistic associations’ activities together under a single entity. This arrangement provides the best framework for developing ambitious and wide-ranging artistic projects in music, dance, painting, theater and cinema. It also covers the school newspaper and even delves into the worlds of fashion and luxury. The BDA encourages all students to reveal their talents be it through theater production, improvisation battles, dance performances, movie screenings or short-film making. In’Ciné, Mus’INSEEC, live, Move... are the clubs that promote access to culture for everyone, including videos projection, debate, trips to exhibits, music or dance lessons, cultural weekends in France or the great European

capitals (London, Berlin, Prague) and not forgetting Culture Week organized by Branchée Culture in Paris. The BDA also organizes concerts, festivals and themed events like Figures of Style in Bordeaux (in association with Beachbreak) ; the springboard for rock groups, Battle of Noise in Paris; or the Cabaret Evening in Chambéry. Simply put, students become the stars of the cultural landscape on campus and in their city! Fashionistas can find an outlet for their creativity while honing it to a professional edge by organizing fashion shows, sales, visits to the Paris Museum of Fashion, meeting with designers and maintaining a blog which has already attracted attention worthy of the catwalk. Sure, it’s fashion but not just skin deep, In’Lux, for example has organized a series of conferences on the luxury industry with professionals from this sector known as a tough nut to crack (automobile, leather goods, jewelry, watchmaking, leisure,
cosmetics, even wine and spirits). Le Studio bordelais, a new student club, promotes the fashion sphere in Bordeaux through different events in collaboration with local creators and photographers. Key players of campus life and the living «memory cards» of the school, the photographers and cameramen from Rococo (Paris), iMotion (Chambéry) and Rewind (Bordeaux) cover all INSEEC charitable and professional events including conferences, rugby matches, the end-of-the-year gala, skiing trips and the graduation ceremony. We mustn’t forget to mention the presentation of their work in the amphitheater and their creativity on our websites which radiates school spirit so that even INSEEC students abroad can be plunged back into the atmosphere!

Sport Sporting: a champion on all counts With over 1000 members, athletics at INSEEC is steadily becoming the largest student sports club in France. Bringing together all of the INSEEC’s sports clubs in Paris, Bordeaux and Chambéry under one banner, this Omni sports club is one of the student athletic heavyweights in France. Whether it’s for the love of the game or discovering a new sport, each student will have the opportunity to practice his or her sport of choice, be it as part of a team sport (handball, rugby, soccer/football, sailing, basketball and volleyball etc.), individual sport (tennis, golf or horseback riding) or for adrenalin 10
junkies (skydiving, sufing, skiing, skateboarding, rollerblading or gokarting). For the second consecutive year, INSEEC Athletics became a champion of the ESC’s of France in 3 disciplines: rugby, handball and basketball-historic victories for INSEEC. Under the leadership of the Sporting association, sport’s clubs of all three campuses offer amazing activities and events for all athletic enthusiasts. Every year In’sky organizes a Snow Session with room for over 200 students to participate, Beachbreak launched some major events about board sports: a snow session and Surf session; Style figures (with the BDA), a skate context with an innovative environment which mixes sports, culture, art and hip-hop/rap shows. This year, the INSEEC Ride Movie challenge takes on an international
dimension; this board sports competition has opened its 7th edition to students from all over the world. INSEEC X-Treme and Raid INSEEC initiate students in skydiving and bungee jumping while Sail INSEEC and INSEEC Marine offer sailing trips, introductions to sailing and they also participate in student regatta. For mountaineers, Raid Experience brings students together for hiking and multisport events (randolac summer raid), INSEEC Motors, for motor fans, organizes outings and karting competitions. And because sports always mean sharing, students also employ their talents in civic and charitable initiatives. INSEEC Motors launched a charitable action to offer Mit’jet racetrack to sick children and organized the 8th edition of Charity Automobile at Versailles to raise funds for a children’s charities. An engagement also for Green Team,
which set up training initiatives and a golf contest that combines a good deed with a good day out! Present on land and sea our students and graduates have already started to collect trophies!

Humanitarian Students helping others
Humanitarian associations are especially active on campus. Our deeply involved students are motivated by the notion of sharing and the desire to help the disadvantaged through their civic and human acts. Founded in Bordeaux by INSEEC students in 1987, the MHIGE (represented by Fair Plaiz in Paris) provides assistance to people in Eastern Europe. After their work in the Ukraine and Belarus, students are now collecting and delivering medical supplies to hospitals in Kosovo. The Paris association Fair Plaiz set up Humanitor in which students meet one day a week and volunteer at an external institution / association (hospitals, Red Cross). The African continent is not overlooked thanks to the involvement of several associations. Ova INSEEC organizes the Afrik’art
14
festival for the children in Doual. N’Pola provides aid to FIDES, a local association, so they can build educational structures in Madagascar. Since 2007, Med’INSEEC continues to promote sustainable development in the village of Kiri Palogo in Burkina Faso by getting involved in education, the environment and micro-credit initiatives. This kind of work is also undertaken in Morocco with Casem, which is committed to the underprivileged children in the village of Mirleft. In parallel, a dozen racing cars in the roads of 4L Trophy led to the intercampus team of 4L Troph’INSEEC which carried two tons of school supplies to Moroccan children. The humanitarian office (BDH) guides students from the Alpes-Savoie in implementing their international aid projects. In France children’s charities are also the focus of In’Success and La cause des enfants. In partnership with the
national the Zup de Co association, students offer tutoring and personalized support for pupils in disadvantaged areas who need help with school. By organizing shows and inviting guest actors, the Bidibules work with sick children to brighten up their hospital stays. INSEEC Heart develops initiatives for the most needy; clothing collections for Emmaüs and cooperative taxis, amongst others. Lastly, in-school prevention and awareness programs are led by Do it, Sup de Coeur and Prev’INSEEC. Projects include beginners’ first aid, fighting tobacco use, blood donations, campaigning in the fight against breast cancer, AIDS awareness with Sidaction and health screening days. These associations are essential to INSEEC and prevention campaigns are provided during receptions and sporting events.

To maximize their impact and combine their skills, the Junior Entrepreneurs of the three INSEEC campuses have come together to create a national team (Bordeaux, Alpes-Savoie, and Paris) in an
environment that links student life and the professional world. Entrepreneurship, professionalization and imitation are the features of the first confederate student movement in France. By offering a great diversity of jobs and missions (sales events, prospection, and marketing support), the IBO, Job Express and References student interim job services, allow students to gain experience and expand their networks while being compensated for their work Finance, entrepreneurship, and more... Skills are put to the test by Gala INSEEC, which is tasked with organizing the end-of-year graduation ceremony and gala in prestigious venues. Promoting INSEEC at showcases and forums, communicating
the excitement of their school, and welcoming candidates at the admissions competitions, Welcom’, Com’in and Becom’in are the best ambassadors for the school! And, in the Erasmus exchange program, the Exchange and the Bureau International associations are tasked with welcoming foreign students on campus, introducing them to French culture and seeing that they are well integrated into the school. Some interdisciplinary projects on the campus like excursions and sport championships are provided at a discount price thanks to the Bordeaux association called In’Side. The Keep in Touch association has a strategic role, to forge and develop connections between INSEEC-graduates (ADI the association for INSEEC graduates) and students during both festive and professional events, which are often more like family reunions!
