This time of year the idea of love is floating all around us; as the warmth of spring slowly approaches our bodies begin to once again awaken from the quiet hibernation of winter, and we begin to see hearts fluttering from all corners. This month Inspirare Magazine highlights our love of the cloth, the fitting fabric that creates the fashions that we all truly adore and covet. This issue, as you will notice, we have made a big change in how you read and browse our fashions. Now the fully extended issue will only be available through our Inspirare App. We hope you see the amazing positives of this change, and can fully embrace the wonder that comes with trying new things! our young cover Model...
ELISE.
When you see youth blossom it can be an amazing thing, this month our cover model is just such a thing. As the snow begins to melt and our hearts begin to warm with the heat of the sun, new growth gives up hope for the bounty ahead. Elise with Look Model Agency in San Francisco exudes warmth and the hopeful, youthful beauty. INSPIRARE.com
How long have you been modeling? I’ve been modeling for about 1 & 1/2 years. Tell us what got you started in modeling… I’ve grown up admiring models in fashion magazines and on runways and wanted to pursue it for myself one day. I love Cara Delevingne’s work! Where were you born and where did you grow up? I was born in Walnut Creek, CA and grew up in Alamo, CA. A small town in the East Bay. What is your favorite color? My favorite color is light blue, just had my room painted! What is your favorite food? My favorite food is Mac & Cheese, it has been since I was a little girl. A healthy body is important as a model, how do you keep yourself fit and happy? I play tennis and just joined the track team at my high school. I also take a weekly Pilates class to stay toned. What do love most about being a model? What I love about modeling is meeting people! I love getting to know the makeup artists, hair stylists and photographers on a shoot! What do you see as the biggest challenges in modeling? I see the biggest challenge in modeling is consistently taking the best care of my body as I can. Sometimes when I get busy, it’s easy to not be as disciplined. 13
Do you have a favorite clothing item or accessory? My favorite clothing item is my leggings. Can’t live without them! I also have a favorite pair of Steve Madden boots. Who is your favorite designer? I love Vera Wang! Her dresses are unbelievably beautiful! How did you prepare for this cover shoot with Inspirare? To get ready for my shoot with Inspirare, I looked at images on the inspiration board the photographer sent me and got a good feel for the mood of the shoot. What does fashion mean to you? Fashion and your own sense of style and dressing says a lot about you! What does fashion mean to you? I think fashion is an outward expression of what’s inside someone. When I’m wearing clothes that reflect my personality, I feel invincible. If you could tell the world one thing about Elise, what would it be? If I could tell the world one thing about myself it would be that I enjoy life the most when surrounded by my friends! To book Elise visit lookmodelagency.com.

LOOK who’s blogging
JONATHAN DANIEL PRYCE OF GARCONJON.COM Written by Paula Tabinski
Meet Jonathan, a.k.a GarçonJon, a London based menswear street style and fashion blogger, and photographer. Born and raised in Scotland, his exceptional eye for authentic style seems to branch from his traditional roots, which led him to win the photographer of the year at the Scottish Fashion Awards 2012. His unusual fascination with beards led him to release a book, 100 Beards in 100 Days, and launch a website, solely devoted to the facial scruff. Jonathan captures a range of styles that intrigue and inspire even the most style unconscious. With two websites, a vimeo, facebook, tumblr, instagram and twitter account, Jonathan is nothing short of a social media connoisseur who will stimulate you every day with his cool, real and honest photography. His gentlemanly style is contagious. INSPIRARE.com

What are your favorite male fashion trends at the moment? I love the return to tailoring and the ongoing revival of work wear. Also the pop of orange seen quite frequently these days is a nice surprise. What are your favorite and the worst things about living in London? London is full of excitement and opportunities. There are so many incredible people here and this is due to its size. On the flip side, it’s so sprawling that getting around can take time. Coordinating with friends can be tricky.
We couldn’t help by notice your love for beards! Why do you think facial hair has been embraced again in popular culture? I think there are two main reasons. Firstly, as trends are cyclical it was simply time for a good beard revival. Secondly, with the recession men are more focused in heritage and authenticity. I think the beard lends itself well to that, while also being the cheapest accessory a man can own. INSPIRARE.com
You mentioned in an interview you are mostly inspired by what people wear in the street, instead of magazines etc. What have you been inspired by on the streets recently? I’ve been seeing a lot of men with red socks - I love a good bright sock. Also leaving gloves sticking out of an overcoat front pocket seems to be quite popular in London. Other than men’s style and facial hair, what other interests do you have? In life I love cooking brunch at weekends & walking in the country. Sounds very romantic but I’m from Scotland so it’s what I grew up with. I also enjoy swimming. I swim every day. Its funny being a photographer though as it’s both my career & hobby. It takes up 90% of my life, which I’m so grateful for. 18
We love the photography on your blog; it’s artistic and authentic. What do you look for or try to do to get the perfect photo? Thank you! It’s hard to describe. I love that you used the word authentic as it’s one of my most used - I love the idea of capturing
reality in a way that makes the viewer want to be in the photo. I’m not interested in fiction but narrative non-fiction. What’s your favorite thing to photograph and why? Definitely people because there are indefinite numbers of potential images that can come from this. Who or what do you think is most influential when it comes to mainstream male fashion? It’s a mixture of designers, social influence and practicality. I love that men aren’t too swayed by marketing - it’s it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I’m very much of the mind, once I like something I stick with it. I own six of the same pair of shoes as I love them so much. What do you think makes London style so unique from the rest of the world’s cities (and/ or UK)? London had the most international population in the world. It also has a lot of wealth. The strong history of menswear too is always an influence - the three-piece suit, tweed etc.
We loved your vimeo ‘summer rambling tales’! The models are wearing lots of bright colors and pastels... Are you looking forward to summer? What’s your favorite spring style? Thank you! Yes I love the brighter sky’s and fewer clouds. Menswear is always stronger in winter for me but I do like being able to wear linen and sunglasses. I love easy relaxed style like wide leg pants & a simple tee. Name something that you: Love…….. Life Look forward to…….. Light Avoid…….. Drama Dislike…….. Unprofessionalism Hate…….. Waste What has been your biggest success up until now? I’m quite proud to have published two books - the new 100 beards book is out now. And also to have won photographer of the year at the Scottish fashion Awards. What has been your greatest learning curve? I actually think every day has given me a learning experience in the organic incremental challenges, which have made me grow. BEHIND THE FASHION
Jacqueline Depaul: Forty? F-Yeah! Written by Adrienne Glenn
At 38, Jacqueline Depaul was living a happy life as an executive sales person for a telecommunications company, that was exciting but wasn’t necessarily creatively stimulating. At that point in her life Jacqueline decided she needed some sort of reinvention to reinvigorate her thirst for life. Thinking back on some of her past dreams, she instantly harkened up her dream of modeling and decided to bravely try it.
To all women who think over 40 means wearing “mom jeans” and resigning yourself to the short, old lady haircut… just look through the next few pages! You are never too old to do what you love and look insanely fabulous doing it! To learn more about Jacqueline visit jacquelinedepaul.com
Positivity and a strong sense of self helped Jacqueline learn, experience and perfect a role that comes naturally to very few in this world. Modeling requires a very true knowledge of who you are, what you look like and how you present yourself. Jacqueline’s new hobby was validated in 2011 when she won the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency’s national call for 40+ Model Search. Out of over 5000 women, Jacqueline had what it takes to be a professional model. At the age of 41 she proves that you don’t have to be a young, stumbling fawn to make it in the fashion biz! SWEET STREET
BERLIN
GERMANY Photography by Stela Alves – stelaalves.com
While we see the occasional rays of sunshine at this time of year, we are actually still in the chilly days as winter stubbornly keeps its grips on us. It is pertinent to the Street Style of Berlin to include warm outer layers and to stick to chic-ly layering your wardrobe, just in case you do get that extra moment of late winter/early spring sun! Berlin is a city with over 3.4 million people, but about one third of the city's area is composed of forests, parks, gardens, rivers and lakes. That creates an amazing opportunity for fashion! How amazing is the juxtaposition of colorful fashion against nature’s amazing landscape? Berlin is a magical city, of deep history and politics, that also incites an amazing amount of creativity; and, as you see here that creativity translates all the way to their fashion. INSPIRARE.com
