In April 2011, The Observator opened a new dedicated section on its website “Fii Observator!”, enabling citizen journalism. The users uploaded over 1 820 videos capturing on-site images from protests, raising awareness of failures in infrastructure and exposing crime. The quality and relevance of the materials received meant that many were used in the TV Journal.
