THIS SEASON… We’ve talked to the experts to put together these seven style commandments that’ll keep you looking on trend this autumn.

TRUST YOUR ANIMAL INSTINCT

The AW18 catwalks of Victoria Beckham, Diane Von Furstenberg and Tom Ford were awash with zebra stripes and leopard prints. Now they’re all over the high street in classic neutral tones and multi-coloured statement making versions too. “Be bold and clash different animal prints or nod to the trend with accessorises,” advises personal stylist Laura Russell of Satisfashion. “Leopard print woollens, trench coats and animal print skirts are all great additions to your winter wardrobe - dress the skirt up with a polo neck and knee length boots on cold days. A real winning colour combo for me would be leopard print and burgundy,” adds Laura. Anita Ross, personal shopper at Jenners, agrees it’s the season for animal print. “Invest in an animal print coat or trainers (or both), to lift even the simplest outfit combination. If you’re not brave enough for animal print clothing, a scarf or bag looks fantastic too.” FROM L-R: Aloud boots, £85 at office.co.uk; zebra print bag, Nine by Savannah Miller, £55 at Debenhams.com; Georgiana Dress, £159, and Oxford saddle bag, £189, hobbs.com; pony buckle belt, £24, Topshop.com; Audrey print cami, £59, and sports pant, £79, at mintvelvet.co.uk (main image); Free People Kate leopard print faux fur jacket, £230, harveynichols.com; Heighton zebra print stilettos, £69 at office.co.uk
