INTRODUCTION

I-ON THIS MONTH London, New York, Paris, Milan – it seems unfair that neither Edinburgh nor Glasgow feature on the list of global fashion centres. I mean sure, we might be more well known for our boozing and banter but that’s not to say we don’t know how to dress.

Take tartan. Some may think of the fabric as a bit twee but how many other countries have their own signature textile that inspires pride, patriotism and punk spirit? We asked two writers for their thoughts on our divisive national cloth on page 14.

When it comes to design, we also have plenty to be proud of.

Christopher Kane, Jonathan Saunders, Holly Fulton - they all hail from our homeland and there are plenty of new names making their mark on the industry up here too. On page 34, we discover an innovative new accessories brand backing local design and bringing Scottish talent to a global audience.

One of the biggest advocates for our fashion scene, model Anna Freemantle, took time out from

planning this year’s Edinburgh International fashion festival to appear in our stunning shoot on page 40. While on page 18, we meet Simone Murphy, the only Scot to make it to the final twelve of Britain’s Next Top Model. So who does a budding young model look to for sartorial inspiration?

“FOR MANY FOLK, THE IDEA OF A MAN WITH A TURBAN AND KILT IS A CURIOSITY” Hardeep Singh Kohli on his very personal love affair with tartan

“I

've got 35 pairs of Adidas trainers.

I have 27 suits. And I have nine kilts.

I love wearing a kilt. Not all of my kilts are tartan. At least two are plain of colour yet still manage to be stylish and suave. I'm not sure that there is any fabric that can challenge tartan when it comes to history and controversy. Has any other fabric been banned from use?

Does any other fabric unite families and societies? Does any other fabric, when wrapped round the waist of an average looking man, elevate him to the status of international love god? No. And I should know…

While many may believe that tartan is an ancient tradition, locked into lore and predicated on the past, such thoughts couldn't be further from the truth. Did you know that there is a Sikh tartan?

Having fought and died for the freedom of her colonial masters, the Sikhs were granted the honour of having a tartan issued exclusively for their use. This recognition of the selfless sacrifice, of gracious giving by my forebears and

family means a very great deal to me. I have great grandfathers that served in the British Indian Army. I am by no means certain that either of them wore tartan as they fought but I like to think they did. Nonetheless I hope they look down on their great grandson with his nine kilts, with his love of Scotland and his proud Punjabi heritage, and they realise that it was all very worthwhile.

For many folk, the idea of a man with a turban and “DOES ANY OTHER FABRIC, WHEN kilt is a curiosity. But, for me it's the most natural, the WRAPPED ROUND THE WAIST most obvious thing in the world. And it makes me feel OF AN AVERAGE LOOKING MAN both proud and like a sex god. Impressive.

“CLUELESS WAS A REVELATION IN HOW TO WEAR, NOT JUST CHECKS, BUT CLOTHES” Caroline Young on how Cher changed her mind about tartan

I

’m a little bit obsessed with tartan.

The bold, contrasting colours, the warmth and comfort, and that every pattern has a story to tell. But before I appreciated it as a thing of beauty, tartan was always a bit enforced and ceremonial for me.

At school, it was awkward ceilidhs with the boys in their rented kilts, and a form of branding as we were conspicuously ‘tartaned’ up in vivid kilts specially created in the school colours.

We couldn’t help but be noticed when walking down Princes Street – a tribe of identikit school girls marked out in plaid. Some girls hiked up their skirts to reveal their knees, or wore them long and grungy with the sleeves of their baggy jumpers stretched over their hands, but every so often we were threatened with the skirt length test – where the skirt had to exactly touch the ground when kneeling on the floor.

I was 15 years old when Clueless was released in the cinema, and it was a revelation in how to wear, not just checks, but clothes. Cher and Dionne wore those natty eye-popping checked suit jackets and mini skirts, which just seemed oh so grown up when I was more awkward than sophisticated. I headed straight to Miss Selfridge after the credits rolled to try and find something that matched what I had seen on screen.

While you could buy tartans on the Royal Mile, it was down Cockburn Street where tartan rebelled. Whiplash Trash,

where I got my ears pierced, sold punky red tartan skinny trousers with zips amongst its bondage-wear. However, I’ve always preferred the comforting side of tartan – and nowadays I choose a checked shirt for relaxing and my muted grey tartan blanket, completely over-priced but as soft as a lamb, for enveloping myself while watching telly on the sofa. Forget Scandinavian lifestyle trends, the ultimate cosiness is tartan on cold Scottish nights.

Edinburgh The Britain’s Next Top Model contestant on her hometown and her big break

How did you get into modelling? I appeared in my first fashion editorial for a Scottish newspaper at age two. My mother was a stylist and writer while my father is a photographer and graphic designer so I guess you could say I’ve never been camera shy.

Have you been a fan of BNMT for a while?

Absolutely; I can remember watching Abbey Clancy on the second series so meeting her while filming was incredible. I never imagined I’d be on the show.

How did it come about? Completely spontaneously. One day I just looked the BNTM website up and it so happened that they were taking applications. Everything sort of fell into place from there.

How did you feel when you heard you’d been chosen to appear? What’s fun about this series is that we’re starting with a 90-minute

feature length episode so viewers will be able to watch the judges picking the final 12 contestants and our reactions. It’s a moment I’m so glad I have on film as I was just so over the moon.

Were the judges as scary as they seem?

No, the judges are incredible and have our best interests at heart the entire course of the show. However, the elimination days themselves were nerve-wracking and the judges really don’t hold back.

Do you think you’ll leave Edinburgh now as your profile and career grows? It’s a joy to live and work in Scotland and lots of modelling is international so as long as you’re near an airport, you can get to where you need to be. That said, the diversity and volume of agencies, brands and opportunities still lies in the south. Fortunately, London is only a train journey away and Edinburgh is the best place in the world to come home to.

Best thing about Edinburgh? It’s thriving culture scene. We’re so lucky to have so much on our doorsteps.

At the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, the whole ground floor is given over to a series of six major exhibitions spanning three years called NOW. How long have you been collaborating?

Kirsty: “I moved to London with Miu Miu and although it should have been my dream job, I missed Glasgow and wanted to focus on styling full time. Eventually, I moved home and convinced Stuart to bite the bullet and start up our own creative agency, I’ll Be Your Mirror.”

How did you two meet?

Stuart: “Eight years ago at Che Camille when I was interning and Kirsty was planning the Belstaff launch party. I'm extremely awkward when meeting new people but we hit it off straight away. She suggested I join Belstaff and we helped launch the brand’s Scottish flagship store.

We then both moved to new roles; me to Prada and Kirsty to Miu Miu, but we’d end up chatting all day at work and then getting home and messaging all night.”

“WE’RE LIKE AN OLD MARRIED COUPLE SOMETIMES”

Best bit of working as a duo?

K: “There's always a second opinion. If one of us does something that looks rubbish, the other one isn't shy in saying. We’re like an old married couple sometimes.”

S: “Disagreement helps us produce the best possible work. If I have an idea that Kirsty doesn’t instantly love, the challenge is to try and refine it into something she can believe in; if I can’t make that happen I accept the idea is wrong. We've both been in a position of really loving something but respect the other enough to know that it needs to be shelved if we can’t agree.”

Do each of you have dedicated roles?

K: “We don’t but Stu is very meticulous and well-organised so he usually takes the lead with commercial clients. I’m more visual and chaotic but that lends itself well to our editorial work so I spend more time coming up with concepts, putting teams together and finding the right designers. When it comes to shooting, it's very much a joint effort - we’re a well-oiled machine.”

he traditional business models of the fashion industry have been robustly challenged in recent years; from Burberry’s decision to sell direct from the catwalk to Stella McCartney’s ethical business model.

It’s clear that change is afoot and one Scottish startup doing things a bit differently is Nu Blvck (pronounced New Black), a high-concept accessories brand based in Glasgow and making waves globally.

Andrew Vincent and Becca Flory’s business works by connecting emerging fashion designers with expert artisans to create limited edition, luxury accessories that are made to order and sold exclusively online. “We think our model brings the designers and artisans closer to our customers,” says Andrew.

“They’ll be made to feel very much part of our brand with our customers hearing the stories of all involved in designing and making

our accessories. It’s taking transparency to new levels and our customers love it.”

Even more uniquely Nu Blvck has a policy to only manufacture once a product has actually been bought, and by selling their accessories in strict limited quantities. Not only does this mean the customer is buying an exclusive, quality product but it helps to support the artisan makers who don’t have the mass production facilities of fashion factories. “We want our brand to be known for high quality, unique, stylish accessories but also for putting people at the forefront, reducing waste and for more ethical trade,” explains Becca.

Makers include the likes of Di Gilpin, who, from a bothy studio in Fife, has created an internationally renowned name for herself as a knitwear maker,

Another highlight of Nu Blvck’s makers roster is Kalopsia Collective, textiles artists turned micro-manufacturing facility, pushing the boundaries of production with a combination of traditional methods, innovative ideas and ethical goals.

Exciting business models and fantastic makers mean nothing though, unless the designs are up to scratch.

It stands to reason that you wouldn’t be reading this article if the designers had missed the mark here and it’s true, the first two collaborators, Hannah Louise Baxter and Ruth Williams, have each created something quite special. The collections comprise a range of belts, bags, purses and scarves which represent a superb prelude to what could well be a new movement in the fashion world.

Actor Bryan Larkin knows you don’t have to spend a fortune to dress well.

lasgow actor Bryan Larkin is hitting the big time… in Asia.

In 2017 he plays a leading role opposite the biggest names in Asian cinema in Chasing the Dragon, and he’s been chosen to front the UK marketing campaign for Giordano, one of Asia Pacific’s clothing giants which started in Hong Kong over 30 years ago. Here he shares his personal take on style with i-on.

You’re fronting the Giordano campaign here in the UK. What does that mean to you? It’s a very unique and special privilege, made more so by the team behind it as they were more interested in my personal journey as opposed to a specific look.

I think part of the brand’s success lies in its ability to appreciate substance

and life stories of the people in the marketing of its clothes. Giordano is all about style and affordability.

How did you get the position as ambassador for the brand? I met Thomas Sandfield, one of Giordano's official photographers, when I was shooting a movie in Hong Kong and we discovered that we had a lot in common: same life values and struggles on our paths to our goals.

He recommended I meet Mark Loynd, Giordano’s Head of International Brand Collaborations. We met the next day and I had a very good feeling about him. I told him how a guy from Scotland came to be working with Asia’s biggest stars and he decided that my story was a perfect match for a campaign, so we made a short film about it. For special occasions, like premieres, I go for a tuxedo or a kilt.

Any style icons? American icons like James Dean, Marlon Brando and Steve McQueen. My upcoming movie, Chasing the Dragon, is set in ‘70s Hong Kong so I got to wear a lot of insanely cool clothes.

t’s official: we’ve been seduced by all things Scandinavian. Trips to Ikea for flat-pack have turned into fullon love for the Nordic look. While architects and designers have drawn influence from Scandinavia for years, we were first offered a proper glimpse of their interiors through the Nordic Noir we couldn’t get enough of on TV. We fell hard for the furnishings in Wallander and The Killing (not to mention Sara Lundt’s knitwear), and before long we were scouring the internet for bargain Mid-Century Modern to replicate the look. But if you really want to keep up with those Swedish style-setters, it’s time to update your interiors. Get ready to embrace the New Scandi.

DARK IS THE NEW LIGHT Neutral colour palettes have traditionally provided the backdrop, but now muted colours (hello blue, green, pink) give a richer warmth, and dramatic dark greys are used with balance to maintain a monochromatic appeal. Xanthe Weir from Edinburgh’s contemporary design store Moleta Munro (www.moletamunro.com) explains “We’re seeing more ‘maximalism’. Scandinavian designers are involving more texture, a much richer colour palette incorporating more decorative elements. A nod to understated luxury without compromising design eponymous with Scandi heritage.”

Natural elements are still heavily utilised, with wood, ceramics, marble, and textiles like wool and sheepskin; but with the addition of fabrics like velvet, and metals like gold alongside more traditionally used copper.

This doesn’t need to have a luxurious price tag – high street brand H&M’s home range features key styles at affordable prices (pick up stoneware bowls and mugs for £7).

GOOD DESIGN NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE Scandinavian furniture design, with clean lines and functional form, has an enduring quality. It’s no coincidence that classic pieces

S

ometimes we all need to escape the rat race, recharge our batteries and give into a little me-time. Located on a 300-acre private island ten minutes from Oban, in rural Argyll, the luxury Isle of Eriska was just the kind of tranquil hideaway I was looking for.

Even the drive up there was idyllic. It’s around three hours from Edinburgh and two from Glasgow but the scenery is out of this world so you’ll want to make some stops to capture the envy-inducing views for Instagram.

Finally arriving at the Isle of Eriska, you’ll feel far removed from everything. The remote escape is accessed by a rickety bridge over the loch then a winding driveway leading to the manicured grounds. Inside, the family-run Relais & Chateaux country manor is brimming with old school charm from its old-school reception area to the wood panelled drawing rooms complete with roaring log fires.

us downstairs for dinner. Sipping our drinks in the library bar as we drooled over the Michelin-starred menu, we quickly felt at home – we’d only been here hours yet the staff knew our names already and tread just the right balance between attentive and discreet. Taking our seats in the restaurant, we soon discovered it wasn’t just the service that was second to none, it was the food too. The creative menu of flavoursome food features local seafood, game and beef and varies in decadence from a four-course feast to an eight-course extravaganza. It’s no wonder people travel from near and far just to dine here.

But there’s much more on offer here than good food. If you’re in need of some serious pampering, book in for a luxurious ESPA treatment at the Stables Spa then refuel at the laid-back Deck Restaurant. Or if you’re of the active persuasion, there are plenty of outdoorsy activities too - with everything from a nine-hole golf course to clay pigeon shooting (admittedly, not my strongest skill) to countless walking trails.

Luxurious but not try-hard, Isle of Eriska feels like a home from home, albeit a considerably posher one than most of us are used to.

T

echnology has revolutionised many industries, but so far, the home beauty business has been relatively unreceptive to its charms. However, with technology giants eyeing up the potential profits of the market, following the success of the Dyson hairdryer and Clarisonic range, our beauty regimes are about to go super-powered.

TECH-SAVVY SKINCARE Clinique was one of the first premium beauty brands to dip its well-pedicured toe into the at-home technology market with the launch of its Sonic System Massage Treatment Applicator last year. The metal applicator, £22, is designed to fit onto the brand’s Sonic Cleansing Brush, £79, to create a salon massage experience with better results.

Along with improved product performance, electronic solutions are also being sought to tackle issues like acne and ageing.

French company Feeligreen has launched i-feel Beauty, a set of face and body creams sold with an electronic handheld device used to apply the creams via micro-currents and LED light therapy, a favourite with celebs like Kourtney Kardashian and Jessica Alba.

The device is steered by an app which makes personalised application recommendations.

BROW TATTOOS Amy Falconer gets serious in her pursuit of the perfect eyebrows

W

e all want beautiful brows. Some are blessed with good genes but most of us plucked the living daylights out of them in the nineties.

I’m part of the latter gang and coupled with the fact that I’m a blonde, I ended up with an ever-increasing monthly brow bill made up of HD Brow appointments, eyebrow pencils and every other new brow product on the market.

The daily rigmarole of drawing in my brows often left me with uneven, slug-shaped and sometimes squint (on hangover days) brows. I’d had enough. Step forward permanent cosmetic artist Christina McLean.

THE BROW-DOWN Choosing to commit to permanent cosmetics is a big deal.

I’d followed Christina’s work closely for over six months completely in awe of her brow transformations and decided to take the plunge. She is a cosmetic tattoo artist.

Not to be confused with a body tattoo artist, she specialises in bespoke, realistic hair stroke eyebrows as well as 3D lip blush and eyeliner.

The consultation was the longest part of the appointment where she carefully drew on what she thought would be my perfect shape. We went back and forward with the pencil until it was perfect and she got to work. The area is numbed so all you feel is a slight pinch. It started to feel slightly uncomfortable towards the end but in no means painful.

THE VERDICT I was astonished. Christina has created the most beautiful, even shape with little individual ‘hairs’ that look completely natural. She even added in an arch where I didn’t have one, which has completely lifted my face.

The transformation has been life-changing. I no longer start my day frustrated with the daily fight with my brows and it’s given me the confidence to wear less makeup.

At £300 for the procedure with an annual top up of £100, I’ve actually saved myself hundreds of pounds a year.

And, most importantly, my brows are always on fleek.

THEY’RE THE SOUND

OF THE MOMENT… Well, the Sound of 2016 at least, if you believe the BBC’s annual taste-making poll of who is anticipated to be big over the next 12 months. They were placed fourth in the ranking, behind that year’s winner Jack Garratt, and this time it got its prediction right.

The band released their self-titled debut album last August and it went straight to number one in the UK. Take a listen to their signature track Charlemagne or At Most a Kiss; big, clashing epics of clean ‘80s production, howling, atmospheric guitars, and vocal pop hooks ready for the big stages.

YET THEY HAVE ONE FOOT IN THE OLD SCHOOL. Being from Stockport doesn’t technically make them a Manchester band, but they’re closer to it in geography and in sound than most other young groups you care to mention. The influence of the old Madchester sound of the late 1980s and early 90s can just about be heard in those guitars (they were one of only two guitar groups in the Sound of 2016 list) and in singer Tom Ogden’s heavilyaccented vocal. There’s a hint of shoegaze in there too, their synth-heavy songs dreamy and thoughtful rather than simplistic and macho.

THEIR HEROES LOVE THEM. In their short life, Blossoms have earned more celebrity endorsements than Hillary Clinton. They’re old friends with Liam Fray of the Courteeners, who helped them out in their early days; the Stone Roses’ Ian Brown, the Smiths’ Johnny Marr, Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme and Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner are all fans; the Stone Roses even asked them to play support at their Etihad Stadium gigs, which is handy as Ogden is a Man City fan; they’ve supported the Charlatans and the Libertines; and the Coral’s James Skelly produced their debut album.

THEY REHEARSE IN A SCAFFOLDING YARD. Blossoms legend has it that everyone in the band (Ogden, guitarist Josh Dewhurst, bassist Charlie Salt, drummer Joe Donovan, drummer Myles Kellock) was born in the same hospital and grew up within two miles of each other, although they didn’t begin to convene until Ogden and Donovan went on a school trip to Alton Towers. They made music together because there was nothing else to do in Stockport, and Salt’s granddad’s yard was – and still is – the place to do it.

THEY’LL BE BACK IN THE SUMMER Their April date at Glasgow’s O2 Academy is the final show of this year’s NME Awards Tour, with support from Cabbage and fellow Stockport artist Rory Wynne. But just a few months later, they’re back in town with a place on the bill at this year’s T in the Park replacement festival TRNSMT. Blossoms play the NME Awards Tour at the O2 Academy, Glasgow, Saturday 01 April, and the TRNSMT festival, Glasgow Green, Sunday 09 July.

y daughter says I have a habit of telling long drawn-out stories. ‘Cut to the chase!’ she says, drumming her fingers impatiently. ‘Summarise!’ So I will: my afternoon tea at The Caledonian with my daughter was absolutely delightful. The food and drink, the space, the service, the décor, the flowers – all splendid. We told tales, took photos and savoured and discussed each gulp and morsel. We also roared with laughter a few times which felt a bit rebellious in such a luxurious setting, but the high ceiling absorbed the noise effortlessly. Then we went home.

Emily says I’ve summarised so succinctly she’ll allow me to indulge in a few more details. So… at 4pm we breezed through the foyer of the hotel and into Peacock Alley, a vast lofty space with a flowery centrepiece of forsythia and yellow orchids. We had both prepared well by foregoing lunch; I’d suggest you do the same.

The Champagne trolley cruised up and we each ordered pink Perrier Jouet. There were 18 choices of tea, with some wonderful names: Assam 2nd Flush, Iron Warrior Monk, Venetian Rose. I chose the latter at the waitress’s suggestion. One sip and I was transported to a Helsinki cafe; the last place I had tasted such a brew.

The cake stand arrived, piled high. First we tucked into tasty finger sandwiches and a delicious crab, avocado and lime brioche bun, then warm, crumbly scones with jam and clotted cream. We were too full to finish the cakes and pastries (special mention to the red velvet cupcake) but no matter; our waitress was ready with a pedigree doggy bag.

If you’re looking for a truly indulgent Mother’s Day afternoon tea, this one comes highly recommended. And that’s the long and the short of it.

DINNER @ THE SISTERS, KELVINGROVE Food blogger Pam Gilmour checks out the new menu

E

ver since my first visit to The Sisters Kelvingrove outpost, I’ve loved it. So when I heard that they were launching a new menu I was filled with a little bit of fear. Are they going off in a new direction?

I peeked inside with nervous anticipation, and at first glance knew everything would be alright. Phew! The menu is bigger, but not so big you feel intimated and there are no foams, dust or exotic ingredients on the menu, that’s just not what The Sisters is all about. It’s about fabulous Scottish produce being cooked perfectly and presented beautifully.

After humming and hawing for ages, I decided to start with the Uist smoked haddock & Isle of Mull cheddar arancini served with Tomatin whisky & Isle of Arran mustard mayonnaise, £7.95. These were delicious golden balls of creamy rice and gooey cheese, flaked through with haddock, and the sauce had just the right punch of mustard and a hint of peaty whisky.

Farm rare breed pork – which was described as homemade sausage roll, slow cooked belly and braised shoulder & black pudding bon bon, purple sprouting broccoli, spiced apple puree and Thistly Cross cider jus, £19.95… holy cow what a dish - so good, it could make me weep meat-laced tears of joy.

I was reluctant to swap for Mr G’s Desperate Dan-sized homemade steak pie, £12.95, but a deal’s a deal. Big and with a bone protruding from the centre full of yummy bone marrow, it looked excellent. It’s made to order so the pastry was light and golden and inside was jam packed with tender steak and carrots which still held a little crunch.

For dessert, I went for the white chocolate tart served with lime mascarpone & fresh mint, £6.95. It was well-balanced and had my tastebuds zinging at the end of a rather fabulous dinner. I can’t wait to go back to try more of the new menu – so please don’t go changing, The Sisters!

ROCK UP YOUR ROAST LAMB

For a Sunday lunch with a difference, add some fire to your cooking.

Michelin-star Indian chef Alfred Prasad has lent his skills to a popup Sunday menu at the Dormy Clubhouse at Gleneagles. Better yet, he’s given us the recipe to his crowning dish…

KASHMIRI LAMB SHANK Ingredients: (Serves 4-6) 4 lamb shanks 4 tbsp vegetable oil 3 medium onions, peeled and finely sliced 1 ½ tbsp ginger paste 1 tbsp garlic paste 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder 1 ½ teaspoons garam masala powder 650 g chopped tomato, (tinned), blitzed to a coarse purée ½ punnet rock chives ½ punnet edible flowers (optional)

Method: 1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot.

2. Sear lamb shanks and set aside in a deep baking tray.

3. Add onions to the oil and sauté over high heat; stirring until golden.

4. Add the ginger and garlic pastes and spices; sauté over a medium flame for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

5. Preheat the oven to 180°C. 6. Add the puréed tomato and cook over a slow flame for 15 minutes, then blitz the mixture into a coarse sauce.

7. Pour the sauce over the lamb shanks, add a little hot water if necessary, cover with two layers of foil and bake for 90 minutes.

8. Remove and turn the lamb shanks, set the oven to 90°C. 9. Re-cover with double foil and bake for 4-5 hours or until done.

10. Serve garnished with rock chives, edible flowers (optional) and a sprinkling of garam masala.

BIT AT THE BACK

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF…

back to my old corporate job in property. I had been brought up surrounded by creative people - my dad’s an architect, my mum’s an interior designer - and I have always felt that I wanted to do something that tapped into my natural love of design so with my family’s support, I started up 2 More Heads.

I WAKE UP… …when my alarm goes off at 6am. The first thing I do is check my emails and social media. My husband, Cammie, takes our two young sons downstairs while I get ready then we have breakfast together – usually a green smoothie for me. A cliché but I love it.

WORK STARTS… As soon as I get back from dropping the boys at nursery, it’s straight upstairs to my home office. My first priority is to make coffee then I schedule social media for the day. As I work for myself, I am responsible for everything to do with the business, from website maintenance to marketing, social media, customer orders and accounting. I am constantly researching new products and communicating with suppliers.

Lunch tends to pass me by as I collect the children at 3pm so I keep working for as long as possible.

I DO WHAT I DO BECAUSE… I started the company after having my second child as it was a struggle to see the financial benefits of going

AFTER HOURS… It’s all about spending time with the kids. I also try to be as healthy as possible so I go to a gym class twice a week where we do kettle bells and Meta Fit. For dinner, I might knock up a halloumi and avocado salad. The kids are fussy, but love the usual pizza and pasta. When they’ve gone to bed, I pack up customer orders. I love to make them look beautiful.

DOWNTIME… I try to go to bed at 10pm but it’s usually 11pm, after watching something on Netflix. (We have just finished The OA… amazing). I try not to look at my phone too much, but I do have a mindfulness app called Quility which helps me switch off.

IN 10 YEARS TIME… I would love it if 2 More Heads had become more of a design service as well as an online shop. I hope to open a physical store or pop-up in the future too so watch this space!
