You will learn all about the development of the town, medical and surgical practices, and the splendour of the last abbots.

Peindre, tout un art

Un espace pensé pour les enfants au cœur du musée.

Peindre, tout un art présente les travaux réalisés par les élèves de maternelles et CP de 12 classes du territoire Sud-Grésivaudan au cours de l’année scolaire 2022-23 dans le cadre du projet Écoles et musée. En questionnant le geste de peindre et les matières, les enfants explorent le plaisir des formes et des couleurs.

The art of painting

A space designed for children in the heart of the museum.

This exhibition presents the work of nursery and primary school pupils from 12 classes in the Sud-Grésivaudan region during the 2022-23 school year as part of the Schools and Museum project. By examining the art of painting and materials, children discover the pleasure of shapes and colours. Take a look at their work and relax in a comfortable chair with books and colouring activities for small children.

Ars musica, l’harmonie du monde

Cette nouvelle exposition met en lumière la musique à travers une scénographie inédite. Cette expression essentielle de la société médiévale se révèle comme l’un des arts libéraux majeurs. Musique sacrée des chantres ; musique profane composée et chantée par les troubadours, les ménestrels ou les goliards, la musique joue une étonnante partition, anime portails et chapiteaux, enlumine les marges des manuscrits, rythme les chansonniers, s’épanouit dans tous les domaines de l’art.

Ars musica, harmony of the world

Music is highlighted in this new exhibition through original scenography. It was a key aspect of medieval society and one of the major liberal arts. From the sacred music of cantors to the secular music composed and sung by troubadours, minstrels or goliards, music played a remarkable role, enlivening portals and capitals, illuminating the margins of manuscripts, setting the pace for songwriters and flourishing in all aspects of art.
