8th Grade Student & Parent Transition Meeting Tonight

Our 8th grade students have almost completed their middle school years and are getting ready for high school. In preparation for next year, you are invited to a transition meeting on May 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the Main Hall. This is an opportunity to ask questions and to share concerns, meet some of the high school teachers and learn about the goals and opportunities of high school. Pizza and drinks will be served. Flowers and Foliage Needed for May Day

The May Day committee is asking for donations of sturdy tropical flowers and greenery such as torch ginger, heliconia, Bird of Paradise, Laua‘e fern, fan palm, ti stalks (all colors), croton, Star of India, etc. Please drop off at Wilcox Gym on Thursday morning, May 8.

Freshmen Class Responsible for May Day Set-up/Clean-up

Freshmen should be in attendance during set-up on Thursday, from 3 to about 6 p.m., and again on Friday, from 10:45 a.m. to about noon.

Got Prom Tickets? May 9 is the Deadline to Buy Tickets for the May 17 prom are $80 before May 2, and will then be $85 until the deadline on May 9. If you need a Prom Agreement Form or you have any questions, please contact Liz Hubbard (liz@ischool.org).

Community Service Opportunity: Humane Society Store and KCC Graduation

Kaua‘i Humane Society Thrift Store is moving! They need a few volunteers to help them move stock and fixtures from their current location near Subway Lihu‘e, to their new location behind the Shell Gas Station on Kuhio Hwy. They also need help with painting and cleaning. Students interested in 8-16 hours of community service, should email janis@kauaihumane.org for more details. KCC needs helpers for their graduation on May 16th from 4-9 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium. Students interested in working as ushers or cleaners call Pua or Lana at 245-8011.
