Summer Office Hours
Our wonderful office staff will be working over the summer, in case you need to stop by or call. Office hours are M-F, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., excluding state and federal holidays.
Island School Food Booth at Farm Bureau Fair
Island School parent, Pepe Trask, is organizing a food booth for Island School at this year’s Farm Bureau Fair. The proposed menu is: BBQ chicken sticks, chips & salsa plate, spaghetti with meat, marinara or vegetarian sauce, tofu salad, green salad w/ sweet peppers, black olives and sesame dressing. This will be a fund raising effort in support of a variety of student programs including but not limited to: athletics, robotics, chorus, theater, video production, visual arts, etc. Volunteers will be needed to prepare food and work the booth on August 22-25, at Vidinha Stadium. Summer Mailings
Watch for three (or four) mailing from us over the summer. The first deals with forms needing completion: updated names and addresses, medical forms, etc. There is a deadline for getting these in and then they are filed. The second concentrates on the Student/Parent Handbook -- rules by which we live and breathe, governing dress and behavior, among the topics. Students and parents are asked to sign a form indicating that they have read, understood, and agree to follow the rules of the school. The third focuses on activities connected to
the opening of school, including bus and lunch sign-ups, registration for students in grades 6-12, assessments for the elementary children, and orientation meetings for parents. If deemed important, a fourth mailing will be sent. These will be sent via post or email, depending on the content.
Krispy Kreme Fundraiser
$12 for a dozen. Pick up at Frear Center, this Saturday from 9-noon. Order from a Student Government member after school on the front steps.

Book Buyback
Sell your books at our online bookstore, MBS Direct. Go to http:// bookstore.mbsdirect.net/ischool. htm. Print your quote, then drop it off along with your books to Melissa in the Office. Books will be accepted through tomorrow, June 7, from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Use the MBS Direct Bookstore account you set up when you purchased your books. Got Tropicals?
Flowers and foliage are needed to decorate the gym for graduation especially yellow plumeria flowers. Please drop them off at the Wilcox Gym tomorrow, June 7th.

Depart Salt Pond and return to Island School 1:15 Parents pick up students at Island School. There will be no afternoon bus service. Please label all personal items, especially Island School t-shirts. Children should bring their own snacks. On the menu for lunch are: hot dogs, veggie dogs, oranges, veggies, chips, lemonade, and water.
Marine Ecology Class Filled This popular summer class is fully booked.We hope to do it again next year.
Senior Send-Off Today-12:30 HS students will celebrate the end of finals and the members of our senior class with a BBQ & water fun at the Senior Gazebo. On the menu will be beef & veggie burgers, chips, fruit, cake & cookies. 12:30-2:00 p.m.
