North Shore Bus Schedule

The bus drivers and business office have been addressing the problem of the late arrival of the Princeville to Island School bus. Originally, it was thought to be the result of traffic and the pick-up time was moved up as a solution. Unfortunately, the bus continues to arrive late to school and the possible cause has been determined to be delays in waiting for late-comers to the bus stop. Parents are asked to please make sure your children

arrive at the bus stop at least five minutes prior to departure time. Even short delays can have a big effect on the timeliness of this route.

Annual Giving 2013-2014 Underway

You should have received in the mail a packet containing our 20122013 Annual Report. This yearly publication is an overview of Island School’s financial footprint for the fiscal year. As always, the mailing launches our Annual Giving Campaign. Please take a moment to find the giving envelope in the packet and consider making a donation. As most of you know, tuition does

not cover 100% of our operating costs. Making this tax-deductible contribution helps every single student at Island School. Last year, we are proud to say, 100% of both our Board of Directors and our Faculty and Staff gave to Annual Giving. Reaching that lofty goal is a huge accomplishment! Let’s see if our parents can do the same! Absolutely any amount is gratefully accepted. Any! When we can show charitable foundations that we have this kind of support at our base, they are far more likely to make grants to our school. Donations may also be made online at http://diamondmindinc.com/ island.html We can do this, ohana!

Gift Wrap Packets Overdue Please check to make sure your child’s gift wrap packets have been turned into his/her homeroom teacher. Mahalo for your support for this year’s Gift Wrap sale! Orders may be placed online all year at http://www.gaschoolstore.com/.
