SPORTS & EXERCISE Tennis at Del Tura By Jacqueline Well Valentine is over and by now Del Turians will be ready for new adventures, St. Patrick’s Day, improving their health and continuing their love of sports. If that’s the case Del Tura Tennis is for you - don’t be put off by your age we have men and women from 55 to 80+ turning out at the Tennis Courts at the North Pool for Open Tennis and others who play in a number of Leagues no matter their age. Our aim at DTTA is to have Fun in the Sun and enjoy a very sociable group. Open Tennis takes place between 08:00 am 10:00am every Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays with all levels playing a round robin style. Our second Friendship tournament of the season is scheduled for March 14 and 15. Players may sign up in the screened room by the tennis courts. If you are not a player you may enjoy watching some terrific tennis and feel the excitement of all the competition. Come and cheer our travelling teams playing at home for the following dates in March:

By Pam Price Del Tura’s Softball teams are in full swing, as they meet the halfway point of the season. The Amigos are currently tied for 1st place in the A division. The Diablos are currently tied for 2nd in the B division. Following are pictures of both teams. Games are at 5:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays in Punta Gorda at Carmelita field. It’s a fun time, and the teams appreciate the hometown support!
