COMING UP IN DECEMBER: – I hope you have your tickets for the Christmas Party/Dinner on Saturday, December 7th, hosted by the Midwest Club. This is a fun and festive occasion that will certainly get you in the mood for the Christmas holiday. – The Christmas Golf Cart Parade is on Wednesday, December 11th. The parade begins at 6:00 PM, but line-up and Christmas “cheer” starts at 5:00 PM in the Clubhouse parking lot. This is your opportunity to share your Christmas goodies with the parade participants. Please do not stop the parade by serving goodies as they go by. You ARE encouraged to be outside and sharing Christmas wishes with shouts of “Merry Christmas” and cheerful waves to the passing carts. Charge up and decorate your golf cart and be part of the fun. Frank Millette will once again plan the parade route, and he and his elves will guide you along the way. – Bring your favorite Christmas cookies to share and participate in Caroling at the Clubhouse following the parade around 7:00 PM. Punch and hot chocolate will be ready and awaiting your arrival, prepared by Pat Dunning. BYOB and be prepared to sing some of your favorite Christmas songs. – Tickets for the Tara Woods New Year’s Eve Party could already be on sale at Saturday Morning Coffee and Tuesday Bingo. I’m sure there’s information in this issue of The Columns. This is a great way to ring in the New Year with your Tara Woods friends, right in your own backyard! THANK YOU! – Thank you to Donna & Tom Erhardt and Friends for once again hosting a beautiful Thanksgiving Dinner. This has become a very much enjoyed and appreciated event in our community. – Thank you to everyone who helped Deck the Halls of the Clubhouse on Saturday, November 30th, and to the Canadian Club for providing the refreshments. As the Clubs and groups start their planning of the numerous parties and events offered to our residents, please be aware of some basic guidelines for a successful event. – Put it on the TWHOA website by contacting Bill Loveday. – Put it in The Columns by the 10th of the month before the event, by sending the info to Linda Beaulieu. – Notify Lloyd Kelsey of Sound & Lighting for microphones, use of the big screen or other sound and lighting needs. – For Kitchen supplies contact Janet Daly, at least one week before the event. – As Activities Coordinator, I am available to meet with your committee early in the process to offer guidance in your preparations. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions regarding the parties and events. If I can’t answer your question, I most likely know who can. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
