Travel to Dibër Peshkopi (Center of Dibër Municipality) is located only 170 km away from Tirana, (155 km away from the “Mother Teresa“ Airport), but due to the bad state of the road, especially in the Shkopet-Bulqizë segment, it takes 4 to 4.5 hours to get there. The long-awaited Road of Arbër will significantly shorten the distance Tirana - Peshkopi (86 km), which will be reached in less than two hours. Peshkopi is 75 km away from Kukës, which is a 2-hour trip via a paved and well maintained, very panaromic road that also connects the villages with high tourism potential, such as Sllova, Kalaja e Dodës, Radomir - Korabi. Travelling to Great Dibër is mostly done with the regular minibuses going to Maqellara up to the border crossing-point of Bllata, and from there by taxi in the territory of Macedonia to Great Dibër. The central minibus station in Peshkopi is located near Vocational High School. In Tirana, minibuses to Peshkopi (Dibër) depart at the former “Shkolla e Partisë” location, in front of “Asllan Rusi” Palace of Sports. Tourism Outdoor in Dibra 1.Hiking is the main tourism product of Dibër Region, both in the form of local paths (D1-D5), and crossborder (DC1-DC7). In the Korab - Koritnik Natural Park, a new tourism destination is being created in the northeast border of Albania, in close cooperation with the experts of the three countries, together with local authorities, mountaineering clubs and specialists in other fields. The trail runs mainly on the ridges of mountain ranges, which is also the border line that separates Albania with Kosovo and Macedonia. The trail is more than 250 km long and it crosses the Mountain Range of Sharr, Shishtavec, the highest peak of Korab, Korab-Koritnik Mountain Range, Jabllanica and ends down to OhridPrespa. Ink-marking of the greatest part of the trail is carried out, while maps and tourist guides with detailed information are prepared. The trail can be an important part of the Via Dinarica: Slovenia - Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina – Montenegro - Kosovo - Albania-Macedonia.
2.Biking represents a growing tourism product in Dibër Region. The old dirt road, “Road of Youth”, a very panoramic road along the Black Drin River, which connects Dibër with Kukës, about 60 km, constitutes the main destination of the mountain-biking. 3.Rafting on the Drin River is a new product offered by the Albanian tourist operators in three stages, starting from Topojani Bridge (border with Macedonia) up to the point it joins the Lake of Fierza.
