“I thought it was a lot of fun! Staff did a great job running! Really was a fun, new event!”

“My family and I loved it and had a great time! Hope we can do it again sometime soon!”

...Would you believe if I said I got these vintage editions for $1-$2?

“Offer it monthly!”

I got them at a sale from my library @indiantrailslibrary they had the best new & old books for sale and I snagged these 4 classics + 2 more books that I’ve been wanting to read. WILDERNESS TIPS because its Atwood BELOVED because i love it and don’t own a physical copy. CRIME AND PUNISHMENT, although I know I’m never going to read it, its good to have a well preserved early B&N edition at home, you know THE AGE OF INNOCENCE for the same reason as C&P also, the cover is gorgeous ONCE UPON A RIVER because its a favourite for many readers + its magical realism storyline. ORANGE WORLD because I love short stories + dystopian world + Swamplandia is one of my fav story collections!

FOUNDATION Fall StoryWalk® Explore the outdoors with the Indian Trails Library StoryWalk®.

GREEN LAKE PARK 1101 Green Knolls Dr., Buffalo Grove Search for signs of fall as you read The Very Last Leaf by Stef Wade. A StoryWalk is a creative way for families to take a walk on an accessible trail while reading a special story. Kids will love the anticipation of following the path and finding the next story post, and everyone can enjoy the calming effects of reading outdoors. Signs also feature suggested activities, creating an interactive early literacy experience and a connection to nature.

StoryWalk Supporters For many years ITPLD Youth Services envisioned bringing a Storywalk to the community. In 2020, the Foundation partnered with library staff and the Buffalo Grove Park District to fund this much anticipated program. This unique outdoor feature offers families the chance to wander the park reading a specially chosen book mounted on stands. The books selections are made by Youth Services and change seasonally.

Share your experience with the hashtag #greenlakestorywalk StoryWalk is a joint project between the Buffalo Grove Park District and the Indian Trails Library and proudly funded by the ITPLD Foundation. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library. StoryWalks have been installed in 50 states

These generous supporters who made donations of $100 or more to support the StoryWalk are recognized on a plaque inside Youth Services at the main library.
