here’s a good reason New York City has been the setting for so many treasured television shows, from Seinfeld and Friends to Gossip Girl and 30 Rock. Architecturally stunning and culturally rich, the dynamic city also boasts colourful neighbourhoods that run the gamut from gritty to glitzy and everything in between. But there’s one TV show in particular where New York City played a starring role alongside its bevy of beloved characters, and that is unequivocally Sex and the City (SATC). The iconic show celebrated fashion like no other at the time, and showed a legion of loyal viewers that female friendships could be as complicated and messy as they were uplifting and inspiring.
