Biography - photography As a member of the Nikon Professional Services (NPS), Ivan is among the international group of Special Nikon Photographers.
Ivan Kristoff’s interests have aimed at blending new heights in photography with new dimensions in his vertical operations. Ivan’s passion for helicopters, paragliders and motorcycles illustrates his never abiding focus on pursuing the element of danger. “I live to be challenged. I love pushing the extreme and living on the edge.” His photographs illustrate his motus vivendi. The photographs vividly exhibit how Ivan‘s love of mountain climbing and paragliding have resulted in breath taking aerial photographs. The secret of his success is the ability to never accept conventional thinking and traditional routes in achieving his goals.

He pioneered the development of the most comprehensive high-rise rope access service in Canada. • Completed some of the most challenging high-altitude rope access projects in the vertical environment and helicopter operations. • One of his unique projects was ropework on the world's tallest structure during extreme weather conditions and harsh environment. • Extensive experience with Military, Tactical Aviation, Police and Fire Department. • Developed innovative techniques for aerial rapid access and human extraction with helicopter at high-rise buildings. • Internationally known for his innovative project and cutting-edge use of technology in inaccessible places. Dedicated to the officers of the Bulgarian Aviation Tactical Unit "The photos in this exhibition showcased the unique moments, which I shared with the team of 24th Helicopter Aviation Base in Krumovo, during a technical demonstration on May 6, 2002, the National Day of the Bulgarian Military. I had the great privilege to work with Lt. Col. Anton Hristozov, head of a unit with the tactical aviation corps of the Bulgarian Air Force, to earn an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. Working with Lt. Col. Evgeny Belkinov, First class pilot, Major Marko Todorov, First class pilot, Major Kostadin Ganev, Boarding Engineer, Captain Krasimir and Sergeant Ivan Ivanov, was a true teamwork experience.� Ivan Kristoff Exhibition at the Bulgarian Museum of Aviation, 24 VAB of Krumovo near Plovdiv.

Aerial - Series of World Records President of Bulgaria, Georgi Purvanov, congratulates Ivan for his successful achievement with the tactical aviation corps of the Bulgarian Air Force. Climbing down and up a rope hanging from a helicopter are two new categories in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Bulgarian Air Forces Tactical Aviation Squadron 24 May 16, 2002
Ivan staged a demonstration over the Madara rocks and continued for 13 minutes. He climbed down a 100metre rope hanging from an MI-17 military helicopter.
