A LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE
Follow in the footsteps of Yuri Gagarin, John Glenn and Neil Armstrong. Legends who have conquered space. Adventurers who were responsible for a number of ‘firsts’ that had a significant impact on the world. The first man in space. The first man to orbit the Earth. The first man on the moon. You can be a part of history, too. Travel through space with XCOR Space Expeditions. Take your place in the Lynx Mark I or Mark II… and claim your place in space.

which offers an extremely wide view.
Specially designed compartments carry research materials that may, or may not, react to zero gravity, for instance. The crew – the pilot and yourself – may even be asked to carry out specific research tasks. So besides being the co-pilot, you can also contribute to scientific development!
FIRE AND FORGET? FORGET IT A restartable and reusable rocket powers the custom-built Lynx Mark I and Mark II. Restartable means the rockets are switched on and off when necessary – a first that was invented at XCOR Aerospace. On for launch and land, off when gliding through space. Moreover, the fuel rocket does not burn up completely during one flight. The rocket engines can be used up to 5,000 times, a breakthrough technology that makes commercial space travel more reliable and sustainable.
“A LIFECHANGING EXPERIENCE” XCOR pilots agree that space flight is a life-changing experience. When astronauts first witness Earth in all its glory, it takes the breath away. Some XCOR pilots have even reported that on space missions, they have had a problem breathing for just an instant.
SO TAKE A DEEP BREATH. TAKE IN THE VIEW AND EXPECT A LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE.
Major Harry van Hulten, Director of Flight Test Operations
XCOR, DEDICATED TO SPACE At XCOR, we are committed to making the dream of space flight a reality for everyone. The people at XCOR, including former NASA engineers, are developing a manned spacecraft with a re-usable rocket engine. Our innovations will allow multiple flights per day, in-flight restarts and intact aborts. XCOR is clearly setting the pace in the emerging spaceflight industry with its innovative spacecraft design and reusable rocket technology.
TRACK RECORD Since 1999, XCOR has developed and built 13 different rocket engines. It also has built and flown two manned rocket-powered aircraft. In 2001, they flew the EZ-Rocket, the first rocket to be launched by a non-governmental entity. 2008 saw the completion of flight-testing the X-Racer, with a record-setting seven flights in one day. The team has accumulated over 4,000 engine firings, nearly 500 minutes runtime on the engines and 66 flights. All of which were successful and safe. Currently XCOR is finalizing the Lynx Mark I and Mark II, which will take you into space.

IT’S ALL ABOUT PIONEERING Be part of a pioneering movement that contributes to the development of advanced commercial aerospace. It’s a more sustainable way of long-distance travel, bypassing the thick air of our atmosphere and gliding without resistance through space. Just using fuel to launch and land, and none mid-air. Only a couple of decades from now, when people will be used to outer-atmosphere traveling - they will look back on the travelers that defined this movement. That could be you. Be a pioneer. Become an astronaut. It will change your life. And, eventually, that of many others.
