3 During the 2020s: During the 2020s: There was a new scheme in the UK called the Golden Age project. This meant that the entire country would have to convert all its cars from petrol/ diesel to electric. This also meant that the entire country had to use clean energies in the build-
ings. All towns and cities must also condense their size and build upwards to provide more green areas in their environment. Whilst this was happening, Mojo released its mixed reality VR contact lenses. This device became a worldwide sensation and became a part of our day-to-day activities. Mojo has spiced up our lives with its mixed reality overlays. Throughout Huddersfield there are virtual projections everywhere. For example, you can see projections on all the buildings as well as our personal AR communications system. The contact lenses have replaced the need for mobile phones and computers. With such technologies that have come of age it is important to incorporate a variation of virtual technology into the Future Gaming Museum. This will form a design that will fit into this future design society. (Barton, 2021).

Clean up plan
During the 2020-decade, Prime Minister Boris Johnson made an announcement that all vehicles must be electric by 2026 to aid in the combat of climate change. The government has decided to invest over 1 Billion pounds into electrical vehicle companies as well as battery development, Frangoul, A. (2020, Noveber 18). Electric cars were not doing enough to combat climate change, so the government started a clean-up project labelled the ‘Golden Age’ in 2030. This new scheme meant that the whole of the UK would need to reconstruct the master blueprint of their towns/cities to fit the criteria of the scheme. These urban towns and cities will have to build upwards as well as condensing the scale of the town/ city centres. This can be done by creating lots of high-rise buildings. This would reduce the need for many smaller buildings. The free space created by this can be used to form new green areas such as parks and urban farms. (Barton, 2021). When the project was announced, Kirklees Council decided to launch a competition called the Future of Huddersfield. This created an opportunity for architects to submit their ideas on their vision of the future of the town. ‘An Architect called J. Casey produced a proposal for the ring road to be placed underground to allow for the reconstruction of the town to flow smoothly with the elimination of congestion allowing people to move freely throughout the town. A combination of designs from architects such as G. Smith, E. Gregory and G. Lockwood were used to design the new central core of the town. Plastics were only aloud to be used if they were 100% recyclable and all building must use solar cladding and geothermal technology to create a carbon neutral Town. (Barton, 2021).

VR Contact Lenses
VR Contact Lenses Mojo releases its VR contact lenses around the same period. This product was a worldwide hit from the beginning; such an advanced piece of virtual equipment compared to the VR technology that we were used to. The device was a combination of all our more common digital equipment condensed into one pair of contactless. The public could use the device in various ways such as, watching TV/videos, browsing the Internet, social media, gaming, digital work, drawing and being able to see various digital overlays. The world was not ready for the dangers that were involved with VR as it was all new territory for us. This meant that new laws and regulations had to be sanctioned due to the scale of accidents caused by these devices. The main rule that relates to this project was that it is illegal to change the form of the exterior of a building at ground floor levels or points that have human access. Physical forms like stumps would have to be in place to prevent accidents. It is allowed to be achieved in interior areas because they can be monitored. (Barton, 2021).
(Barton, J. 2021).
Because the cars are self-driving, it meant that car parks were not essential in the town. Instead drop off points would take their place. Cars will become our own personal taxis that will pick you up and drop you off at the time you request. During the times that the cars are not needed they will be stored in one large car park just out of the town centre. This allows for more green areas in the Town. (Barton, 2021).

Proposal:
Proposal: is to create the Future Gaming Museum located in the centre of Huddersfield town. The Gaming Museum aims to become the most technologically advanced and renowned gaming museum in the country. Following this, it will generate global awareness encouraging people to travel from world-wide to see the exhibits. By doing so it will increase the income of the town as well as moulding itself into a key part in the community. It will be known for influencing gaming culture and gaming education. The design criteria must meet the needs of the Golden Age project. This means that the Future Gaming Museum must be self-sufficient and sustainable. (Barton, 2021).

This device allowed the public to access a virtual world that was a futuristic version of our own. The lenses give its users the ability to be who they wanted and do as they please. (Wright, writer), (Barton, 2021). The simulations had a mixture of bots and real people within them. The moral of the story is that there are many dangers in the VR world that need to be explored and things achieved in the simulations were never going to be as fulfilling as the real world. These drones can form AR simulations/projections to manipulate the environment. The drones are able to project mixed reality images onto its environment. By doing so the protagonist can disrupt people’s perceptions and their judgment. During one scene, Spiderman falls off a building because the MR projections have hidden the edge. This is why the buildings can’t be manipulated at human level using MR projections (Barton, J. (2021).

Form Influences: Form Influences: The Beijing National stadium and the Al Janoub
have played a large part in creating the form of the gaming museum mixed with the U.S.S Voyager spaceship design to creating an out of this world experience just by looking at the exterior of museum. Curves and elegance have played a massive part in the design just like the landscape of Huddersfield. The facade style of the Beijing stadium has been used to create texture and style to the smooth surface of the design. The Sphere (La geode) influenced the grand entrance of the design. its eye-catching design and shape are perfect for displaying games on the exterior of the Future Gaming Museum. In the case of the Geode, it is used as a cinema. You could say the museum has a similar approach as it is still using the sphere to project images and environments; similar to how a projector would onto a cinema screen.
11 Mixed Reality (MR): The ideology of the creation of a mixed reality environment is by digitally overlaying aspects onto the environment by combining real and artificial compo-
nents. These components are able cohabit and interact with each other. Mojos VR contact lenses have aloud mixed reality to take its true form and flourish throughout the world. This product stands out as significant design that that formed the era of mixed reality. The device had taken the world by storm and it is used by everyone over the age of 5, integrating itself into many people’s life. It has formed an extra sense adding to our natural 5. A Mixed reality environment should be able to stimulate all five of a person’s senses whilst in this realm. To do this may be difficult as some of these senses will be considerably more difficult to simulate than others. Our sensors can be simulated with the aid of Mojos VR contact lenses, Omnifinitys, Omnideck (360 treadmill) and the Tesla full body haptic suit.
VR Contact Lenses: Mojos VR contact lenses have taken over the future. The lenses are used in all of our day-to-day activities such as for directions, TV, adverts, social medial. It is

a highly advanced phone integrated with our eyes. Its 14,000 ppi display makes its AR projections crisp and life like, unlike the old traditional VR headsets that were dense and poor quality. The lenses have an integrated image sensor and a motion sensor compacted inside the device allowing the AR images to be stable. Although the lenses are energy efficient, they will require you to remove them on a night to recharge whilst you sleep. The Mojo contact lenses have the ability to project holograms onto, or into anything. This will help to form the MR environment inside the Future Gaming Museum. The contact lenses will create gaming environment projections onto the walls as well as producing holograms within these spaces. The holograms are integrated, creating moving gaming characters that you can interact with in the gaming spaces. The device will also provide digital portals on the 360 treadmill and the escalators to make it feel like you are being transported to another world when you are either moving through the floor levels or stepping onto the Omnideck.
Omnifinity Omnideck (360 Treadmill): The Omnideck will play a large part in this future of gaming just like its shown in ready player one. The Omnideck has a diameter of 4.2m. The treadmill comes with an integrated tracking system that enables its users to move naturally in any direction within the virtual environment. Omnifinity’s, Omnideck plays a key role in creating full immersion when combined with one of the latest VR contact lenses. The Omnideck is special in its capabilities as it allows any type of movement, whether that is walking, running, jumping, or crawling. The Omnideck uses a censored rolling system that rolls you back to its central axis point preventing you from running off the machine. This can be turned on and off when entering and exiting the game. The Omnidecks will be disguised as portals in the virtual world. The reason for this is to misguide the guest so that they think they have been teleported beyond the boundaries of the building. The device is a major part in the Future Gaming Museum design, and they are far superior to traditional 360 treadmills that have many movement restrictions such as not being able to crawl (size related issues).
Full Body Haptic Suit: The Tesla suit will be used in the museum so that the visitors will be able to feel everything in the virtual world ranging from touch, physical exertion, and change in climate. The tesla suit consists of a two-piece suit with incorporated Haptic feedback technology to stimulate the user’s muscles. The suit can track your natural movement whilst moving in the museum’s virtual spaces. The suits may also be programmed with movements to help the body learn new techniques, helping users to do movements in the game that they could not do on their own without training. The Tesla suit can adapt to each game/gaming environment with ease. The suits are waterproof making them suitable for the artificially weathered environments and for general cleaning. These suits will be supplied to the future museums guests when they enter the building to provide a life like immersive experience whilst playing the games.

Client Kirklees council The council was the first to invest into the Future Gaming Museum design as it would help in providing Huddersfield with an elite status like some of the larger cities in the UK. The Future Gaming Museum will do this by encouraging visitors to come to the town from all over the world to experience its unique mixed reality gaming experience. With the increase in visitors, it will help to improve the local economy. This will help improve and fund the Golden Age clean-up project. Kirklees council will have accepted the terms to provide one third of the fees to form the Future Gaming Museum. (Barton, 2021). University of Huddersfield University of Huddersfield When the University of Huddersfield was approached, they were more than happy to collaborate with the project. This was because it would help aid their Games Development (Design) BA(Hons) course. The FGM would encourage gaming students to study at the University. The presence of a museum will help in the education of its students through the art of gaming as well as being able to educate students on the virtual world itself and the technologies used. This means that it is not only limited to the game development course but provides many other opportunities. The university has accepted the terms to provide another one third contribution to the Museum as long as students will receive a discounted rate on entry and free entry on university visits. (Barton, 2021).
(Barton, J. 2021).
EA Sports, Sony studios, Saga, Infinity ward, Rockstar, Eurocom Entertainment, Ubisoft Reflections and Infinity ward, Riot games and Activison The games creator will play an important role in the creation of the museum. After approaching a couple of gaming companies about the museum proposal, word got out! Other gaming companies started to approach us about the proposal as they wanted to get involved in the project. It is a mixture of UK and worldwide companies. Due to so many gaming companies jumping on board the project it meant that their contribution fees could be divided out between them. The games creators involved are required to provide exclusive gaming content and pre-release content that is only available at the FGM. In return for their contribution, they will be given free advertisement as their games will be on display to the guests. The FGM collaboration with the university will help influence gaming creators of the future which may apply for jobs at these companies due to their influence on the museum. The museum will also provide the gaming creators with a place in Huddersfield where they can exhibit their work in person using the arena. Each of the chosen gaming companies listed are required to contribute a split fee totalling 3.7% each. This totals to one third of the entire project, matching the Council and the University of Huddersfield. (Barton, 2021).

Concepts
First, I started to create the arc form. It was a statement piece, but it was not ideal for the floor format as well as competent access for the building so the form was remodelled for something more suitable. The second design was the leaf shape to explore more natural forms. This allowed for the gaming room genres to be sectioned. All though the design was better it was still not ideal in projecting the image of the Future Gaming Museum. The Yorkshire rose style did allow for more sectioned off spaces for the various gaming genres, but it was not utilizing the space and form provided by the site. This circular form provided more space than the Yorkshire rose form, but it still was not suitable. The building needed to be more rectangular to allow the gaming areas to flow as well as utilizing the space. This plan helped me to understand the way I wanted the gaming spaces to flow but it did not allow the users to flow in and out of the spaces. I wanted guests to get lost in the art of gaming like how you would in a game itself. In some games you must walk around until you find the right door to get out. This will mean that guests will walk into the same spaces again, but they could look totally different to the last time they were in there. The maze form helps with this, it forces them to still reach the end but with a slight delay. The spaceship form was veering off from the natural form intended. The spaces worked perfectly, and the grand entrance helped to develop the portal idea. This design utilized the slope and space of the site. The only thing to do now is to tweak it into a more natural, desirable form. A box shape would be the easiest way to go about it but it is too basic for the Golden Age Project.

About the Future Gaming Museum About the Future Gaming Museum The ideology behind it all is to form the number one gaming museum in the world. It will be a place of status to earn bragger’s rights within the gaming community because it shows that you are a true gamer and part of the Future club. The VR contact lenses will provide holographic gaming environments for its guests to move through. Holograms will be used to display gaming equipment as well as providing gaming characters used as guides that wonder throughout the museum ready to be approached if needed. This would be just like in a game where you would require information from people to do your missions. In this case it would provide you with quality information on the games. The information will be provided to the holograms through an archive of vast knowledge connected to all gaming information on the plane, similar to the hologram in the film ‘The Time Machine’ where there is a hologram in glass displays. Correia, 2010, Febuary 12). The museum will incorporate historical games, exclusive/pre-release gaming content only available at the Future Gaming Museum. The museum will consist of 6 levels, 5 of which are for gaming whilst the top floor will be a cafe surrounded by classic arcade games. The cafe will also serve as a spectator zone to allow people to watch other interactions with the gaming areas whilst they have refreshments. By doing so will mean that even when you leave the main gaming zones, you are still part of the gaming itself. As soon as you enter you will be asked to put on a Tesla Haptic body suit. Once you have changed into the suit you will be given the option to choose your gaming experience. Within the main gaming zones, each floor will consist of 2 combined similar gaming genres. On entry the guests will be able to choose what package they want, whether it is selective or a mixed experience where you can try all genres on each floor. Once chosen, the grand entrance will load up where you will be able see various animated forms walking and flying around the grand entrance space. There will be portals on display where the escalator ramps are. Doing so will make it seem like you are being transferred to another realm as you move up and down the floors, creating an out of world experience from the very beginning. On these floors the visitors will be met by a collection of augmented gaming rooms where the guests can interact with various gaming environments. Surrounding these areas there will be portals. These portals will be placed on top of Omnifinity’s large advanced 360 treadmills creating a form of trickery. This will allow the users to feel like they have been transcended into another world again. It also allows the users to expand beyond the boundaries of the building.

(Hag door specialists. n.d).
Firefighting control in the building:
(Johnson , K. 2019).
Firefighting control in the building: Throughout the gaming spaces roller shutter doors will be place at the entrance points of each gaming room. The rooms that have doors are fire resistant doors. This will allow the areas to be sectioned off in the event of a fire and will subsequently prevent the fire from spreading. Every room will have their own drones that are attached to the ceiling. In the outbreak of a fire these will be released to combat the fires in each zone. Most of the rooms only have the Omnideck treadmills present, this is to reduce combustible materials in the building. In the rooms which require more content such as the café and spectator room, the materials used will be fire resistant. The drones are capable of controlling and extinguishing any fire outbreaks within a matter of minutes. This is due to their automated fire seeking system. This firefighting system and special floor layout will eliminate the need for the traditional fire escape routes we use to have.

The mild steel structure will be prefabricated off site in sections to free up space on the site. Once the segments are fabricated, they will be welded on site. MiG welding will be used in the workshop and Stick welding will be used on site.
Bubble deck flooring: The bubble deck flooring will decrease the total weight of the build as it needs less concrete to form the system. The bubbles will also increase the strength of the floor allowing for longer spanning, making them suitable for the museums internal concrete structural system. This system is also cost effective when compared to traditional slab systems used.

Virtual tech used During the design process there was one key piece of advanced technology that drove the entire project. This was Mojo’s creation of the mixed reality contact lenses. Mojos are currently testing their prototypes and developing their design. If they stay on track and development keeps moving forward the way it is then there is no doubt that they will become widely available within the next 5 years. This is on the condition that the tech is embraced by the public as Mojo predicts. It is expected that the world may become a lot like the movie Ready Player One. In the film the VR integrates itself as part of our day-to-day lives. Moving on to the year 2030, the VR contacts will be imbedded into all our daily activities such as directions, source of contact, television, advertisements, social medial and our careers. The lenses will become the most desirable device on the planet. It’s like having a supercomputer/advanced mobile phone overlayed onto eyes. Its insane 14,000ppi display makes possible for AR projections overlay on to the world in the most natural way. This is something that the bulky VR headsets couldn’t do as their displays were of poor quality. The lenses work so well because they have integrated motion sensors built into them to provide stable image overlays onto the surrounding environment. The Lenses do require the user to remove them on a night as they would need to be charged. It works out as its not healthy to have something in your eye for too extended periods of time. This device is capable of projecting holograms onto, or into, anything with ease. This makes it perfect for providing a mixed reality experience inside the FGM. The lenses will be competent in creating virtual gaming environmental projections in the spaces. The holograms are key to creating the environment and holographic characters to interact within these gaming spaces. The lenses will also create digital portals onto the 360 treadmill and escalators ramps to forge the feeling of being transcended into another world/environment. The truth is that you will only be moving through the different floor levels or walking onto the Omnidecks provided in the gaming spaces. The design itself entire foundation of the design idea relies on Mojos VR contact lenes. The Omnideck 360 treadmills also play a key part in the layout of the museum as they allow guests to enter the battle royal zone. The Omnideck is different to Standard 360 treadmills which only allow players to be able to jump, crouch and run. If you are a gaming enthusiast you will know this isn’t enough alone, especially when one is playing first person shooters games. The popularity of 360 treadmills skyrocketed due to the release of the VR contact lenses. The Omnideck has become a main feature in present day gaming just like it is shown in the movie Ready Player One. The Omnideck is different to other 360 treadmills as they have a diameter of 4.2m. This version also comes with an integrated tracking system that makes it possible for its players to be able to move in any direction whilst you are in the virtual reality world. Omnifinity’s, Omnideck and the VR contact lenses play a vital part in forming a full emersion experience for the guest of the FGM. What makes the Omnideck special, is that it allows any type of movement including crawling unlike its competitors. The treadmill has a censored rolling system. This means that it will roll you back to its central axis point when moving. This prevents its users from being able to run off the machine unless the simulation is ended. The Omnidecks are disguised as portal entrance points in the virtual world. The logic behind this is to misguide the players into thinking they have been teleported beyond the museum. Only a small percentage of the public can own this treadmill because of the floor space needed for it. This makes the museum more desirable to the public. When it comes to haptic body suits, the Tesla Suit stands out amongst the rest. The Tesla suit has been chosen to provide its players with the ability to feel everything in the virtual world space. This rangers from touch, physical exertion, and any change in the weather. The Tesla Suit is a two-piece suit that has Haptic feedback technology incorporated, enabling to stimulate the user’s muscles. The suit can track players movement in the museum’s virtual spaces which will merge with the contact lenses to allow for the perfect transition of movement from reality to virtual reality. The suit can be programmed in various forms of movement to help the body learn new techniques. This will aid the users in being able to do the movements in the game that they would normally do with a controller. The suit is competent in being able to adapt to each game/gaming environment. The suits have waterproofing technology which makes them suitable for the weathered environments provided in these spaces. This also helps when it comes to sanitary purposes. The suits are supplied to the guest of the Future Gaming Museums on entry. Servers: The servers play a very important part in the design as it can connect to all the VR contact lenses in the building to provide constant mixed reality gaming visuals. The device can store large amounts of custom and exclusive gaming content provided by the multiple gaming company sponsors. Weather simulator: There are weather machines incorporated into the rooms to provide various forms of weather to match the games. This allows the guests to feel the weather such as rain, snow, or wind to make the simulations feel life like. Underfloor heating will be integrated into the floor system to melt snow built up on the floors of the simulation rooms. (Barton, 2021).

8. Gaming simulation rooms overlaying the room. You can see te outline of the room in the image. The shape, layout and access forms to the gaming zones were key to making them desirable spaces. The idea is for the guests to get lost in these gaming spaces. This will be done through portals or the room layouts. The games are constantly changing whether it is another level or a different game. This means that no space will be the same on the next entry point. This allows each guest to have their own individual experience in the spaces which cannot be repeated. Guests could be moving into the same spaces but think it is a completely different room. This is aided by the free-flowing access points to every room, it also removes the one direction approach as present in most museums.
