“Coach. To me, that word always encompassed so
much beyond sport. My dad, Steve Lynn was “Coach” by profession. He was a teacher, a mentor, a supporter, an encourager, and a friend by choice. The one thing I hear more than any other from his former athletes is, “Coach believed in me when no one else did.” We, as coaches, often limit our reach to the scoreboard and the length of our season. My dad is proof that coaches have the position and the power to impact lives for a lifetime.”
