USER TESTS
18
USER TEST RESULT & CHANGE 1
In product details page, the safety information was not obvious enough and icons were not clear. I made safety information more visible on the screen. Also, to make the content area more clean and show more info, I make the list collapsible and hide the menu bar. So the users can get safety info right away when they are in the product page.
19
USER TEST RESULT & CHANGE 2
It was not clear which recycling codes are safe and which are not. So I added color codes to my design. Green represents safe plastic, red represents unsafe plastic and yellow represent mixed safe plastic. Also, there were some functions in my app which were necessary for my concept , such as News, Tips, Profile and Stats. I removed these functions and focused on learning recycling code and scanning function. 20
USER TEST RESULT & CHANGE 3
Also, the information in product list was too much and its not clear if the product is safe or not safe. I created safety icons and used color codes to make it easier to identify. I also removed the color of the type to make it more visible. And I add filter function so the users can filters product with safety, symbols and codes.
21
USER TEST RESULT & CHANGE 4
The main page I designed was simple and boring. I left only scan bottom because it is the main function of my app. The users can also view Most Liked Products in all categories.
22
NEXT STEPS
For the future, I would like to add review function to the product details page. Users can review the product with stars and leave their comments. They can also view other people’s comments. It gives users more ideas to see if product is deserved to buy. Also, the users can find plastic products deals locally and online. I also want to add user’s profile function. Users can log-in with their email, Facebook or Twitter account to see their saved deals and reviews and check other users’. Also they can view their shopping lists and histories. 23
