Learn to Skate Lessons at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre

Our Learn to Skate program is an innovative way of lesson planning, aimed at accommodating the busy day-to-day lives of our families. Flexible registration provides parents with options throughout the week to bring their children to skating lessons, ensuring children don’t miss out on valuable classes and instruction as a result of the event calendar at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Power Skating – Youth

Register your child for a single lesson or a series of lessons. Go to victoria.ca/arena to view the monthly lesson schedule then choose the day, time, and course code that fit your schedule. Dennise Bowles of Power Unlimited brings years of experience and expertise. Take your game to the next level with Victoria’s leading power skating coach this fall. Balance, acceleration, agility, speed, explosive starts, edge control, break-away speed and game stride are all part of this challenging and rewarding program. Full gear required. All participants should be comfortable skaters.

Parent and Tot (3 – 5 yrs)

This fun class allows you to improve your skating, passing, stick handling, and shooting skills and ends with an informal scrimmage. Full gear is required. Brought to you by Power Unlimited Power Skating.

What you should know about skating lessons at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre • CSA helmets are mandatory for children and adults during lessons. • Advanced registration is required. There are no drop-in lessons this season. • Children must be able to stand on the ice on their own to join group lessons. • Lessons may be cancelled due to concerts, special events and Victoria Royals hockey. Women’s Hockey Skills

Join Friday night women’s hockey at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Develop your on-ice skills, stamina and understanding of the game in an encouraging environment. Skating, stick handling, passing, shooting and team play are all part of this program to help build your confidence. Each class will finish with a scrimmage. Full gear is mandatory. Private Skating Lessons Private skating lessons are great for getting your beginner skater ready to join our group Learn to Skate Lessons or to accelerate your own learning or master a skill. Our instructors will work from the Learn to Skate Program or address specific skills as needed. Book by calling 250.361.0708. Cancellations require 48 hours notice. Add tax to adult lessons.
