Dear All Saints’ family, I am writing this on the first day of autumn which is one of my favorite seasons of the year. Although it is still dark at my normal wake up time I really enjoy watch‐ ing the sun rise on cool mornings. (When it’s not raining like it is today.) I also love the way the landscape changes when the trees turn color in preparation for their winter rest along with the transition to cooler weather. Naturalist and writer Edwin Teale wrote, “For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together. For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad”. Most of us relate the season with harvest festivals, pumpkin patches, and leaf raking, but Teale’s idea of sow‐ ing and scattering makes me think about what God teaches us about Himself through nature. Nature teaches us that during the growing season seeds for the next harvest are created and eventually fall to the ground getting ready for the time when they will become the future harvest. This scattering of seeds reminds me of our call to pro‐ duce spiritual fruit in our own lives in order to sow the seeds of our faith to others. We do both as we feed our minds and spirits with the riches of the Word of God. We strengthen our faith as we gather together to worship God, partake of His sac‐ raments, and fellowship with one another in His name. In the months ahead ,we will have plenty of opportunities for all of the above. I urge all of us to take advan‐ tage of the various studies, fellowship events, and worship times we offer here at All Saints’. Together we will grow to be fruitful and faithful servants of our Lord, Jesus Christ to His glory and honor. In Christ, Fr. David

10 Commandments of Holistic Health
Provided by God’s Older Children
1. Buckle up. Always wear seat belts. 2. Put it out. Don’t smoke — anything! 3. Waist management. Keep your weight under control. 4. Food for thought. Avoid fast, fatty foods and lots of food additives. Volume 11, Issue 10
5. Get movin’. Even a little bit of exercise helps. 6. Get out. Be outside for at least 15 minutes every day. 7. Pray each day. Take time every morning to speak to God. 8. Lots of love. Good relationships, family and friends have been proven to help extend life, improve health and in‐ crease happiness. Jesus told us, long before the research‐ ers proved it, to love one another, to honor our parents, to avoid at all costs calling our brother a fool. 9. Believe. Study after study confirms that those who have a deep faith live longer, healthier lives. 10. Good upkeep. Treat your body like the temple of the Holy Spirit. Jesus taught us that we are one with him. (John 14:20) ‐ Leah Curtin, R.N., ScD(h), F.A.A.N.

Studies in the Sermon on the Mount– By Oswald Chambers
spiritual concentration in under‐ standing scriptures.
This devotional study, based on Matthew 5‐7, contains timeless truths relevant to Christian life and the challenge of discipleship. Although it is only 107 pages in length, this book is a dynamic reminder of our responsibilities, as heirs to Christ’s kingdom.
Read this concise, powerfully written study to learn more about the motive of Godliness, why we should be “the salt of the earth” building spiritual castles, effective character building, and many other meaningful lessons for daily living. This study is organized for short devotional sessions.
We are urged to know Christ as a savior because we need His gift of Chambers ends by reminding us the Holy Spirit to develop our that it doesn’t matter what others think of us as long as we are obey‐
ing the teachings of Jesus Christ. We want to hear him say, “Well done, my good and faithful ser‐ vant.” This book can be found on the table in Groff Hall. Other books by Chambers are available in our library. My Utmost for His Highest, and The Complete Works of Oswald Chambers.

My name is Debby Sass and I came here five years ago. The love I felt here has made me stay. The love of God is what causes me to tithe. I trust God. He gives me everything I need when I need it, and all that I have has come from Him. That is why I tithe. The greatest gift He has ever given me is His son Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered and died on the cross to take away all my sins and give me eternal life through His resurrection. Can you imagine doing that for anyone? Test God. It sounds scary and almost blasphemous. But God says exactly that in Malachi 3:10 "Test me in this
[giving Him the full tithe the full share of offering]" says the Lord God Almighty, "and see if I will not pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it." I give not to budget, not for building, but in loving re‐ sponse to what God has given me. There is no limit on God's generosity or on our responses. Faithfully yours in Christ, Debby Sass

1 Corinthians 3:7‐9 7
So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co‐ workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
