Gray Wolf The Gray Wolf, which is also called a Timber Wolf or a Tundra Wolf is an endangered species because of hunting, trapping, and poisoning. They normally travel in packs of 6-10 and communicate through body language, scent marking, barking, growling, and howling. The Gray Wolf tends to weigh on average around 180 pounds and live for 8-13 years in the wild but in captivity they live upwards of 15 years. People don’t just put there name online under endangered and then that is all they can do to help. There are many ways to help wolves you can help them by getting involved directly (volunteer at a sanctuary, in the wild, or help an organization in their work), speak up for them, sign an online petition, or use social media to raise awareness, and donate money to a wolf charity.

We kill Gray wolves for what we want, not thinking that what they are doing is their instinct, it is the only thing that they know how to do. The name “wolf” is just a name that we stuck to them. They don’t realize that what are doing is supposedly wrong to us as humans.

Hawksbill sea turtle The hawksbill turtle is a four-legged, smooth-skinned or scaly animal whose body is protected by a sturdy, round shell. Hawksbills are the most tropical of the sea turtles and use different habitats at different stages of their life cycle, but are rarely seen in water more than 65 feet deep. They mostly eat a mixture of animals and plants. Food preferences vary among different turtle species and often depend on the type of food available. The hawksbill sea turtles live to about 30-50 years. They spend their time in coral reefs, rocky areas, lagoons, mangroves, etc.. To avoid from them being endangered you can be aware of nestings or the turtles around the sea and to avoid nesting areas and hatching turtles and you can stop polluting the water that they live in because they don’t come into your home and make a huge mess so why should you theirs.

Northern long eared bat Northern long eared bats (along with every other bat) lives all around the world. Bats are living in almost every place on planet Earth . Bats like hot weather much more that cold which is why they hibernate. More bats live in tropical places than cold ones. Northern long eared bats are endangered. Unlike most of the animals that are endangered, the northern long eared bat is not endangered because of human actions. The northern long eared bat is endangered because of a disease called white nose syndrome that affects bats heath and causes them to die. White nose syndrome is basically a white fungus on bats nose’s that affects their hibernating pads.

Green sea turtle The green sea turtle has been around for who knows how many years, since before dinosaurs and now they’re endangered. They are endangered because people are eating them. Now people are polluting the oceans which is making the threat to them even worse.

Green sea turtles live for 20-50 years. Many people open up what they called turtle hospitals near the ocean, this keeps the turtles safe so when they need help, and humans are right there for them. Even though humans are hurting them they are also helping them.

Did you know turtles migrate. Turtles migrate to foraging and nesting grounds, and seasonally to warmer waters. Often these migrations take them hundreds and even thousands of miles. With satellite telemetry, scientists can track the movements of sea turtles between areas and even across entire oceans. Turtles eat algae, insects, crustaceans, seagrasses, and worms.

Canada Lynx This small animal, part of the cat family is a Canada lynx! Now, when I say small I mean smaller than a tiger or a lion but not a house cat. They usually get 19 – 22 in. (Adult, At Shoulder) and 2.5-3.5 ft. long (adult) . They have spots and are gray but sometimes tan. They live in Virginia and the border of Canada. This animal's looks similar to a bobcat but a bobcat is a little bigger. This animal is declining fast from people hunting it. Did you know it takes forty canada lynx’s to make one fur coat?

This means if a store needs to have 10 coats to sell that’s four hundred lynx’s that they will kill. This means a population that is rapidly decreasing and us, people just go and kill a huge amount of the species is unacceptable. From people cutting down tree’s and hurting the environment is hurting the lynx. When people kill rabbits they are killing lynx’s because lynx can’t go the store and buy a rabbit like people do. People are doing many things to help the lynx. For example some people are people are raising money to plant trees to help the lynx’s home. That is helping not only the lynx but the environment to.

Myotis Sodalis The main cause of the myotis sodalis’ endangerment ,much like other animals, humans. Humans are hunting down these bats for food, or just for the heck of it. Another reason the myotis sodalis is going extinct is because of a common sickness called white-nose syndrome. This syndrome affects hibernating bats. It looks like white fungus on the nose. Following the last facts, the Indiana bat is becoming less common because of other wild animals near the habitat. These animals can eat the Indiana bat because they are so small. This leaves Indiana bats to go endangered.
