July 4th Hours There aren’t any because we will be closed Monday, July 4th, to celebrate our Nation’s Independence!!!
I actually took the time in May to clean up our garden and get 27 tomatoes in the ground, along with some peppers. We have tomato plants from mom, Marian and Bill Garret, Benda and Ty at Kittitas Country Hardware and a few from the Kittitas Secondary School’s green house. It’s hard to believe it, but we already have peppers and ripe tomatoes. Mom was amazed that we were so far ahead of her garden. Truth is these plants were the ones I got from Kittitas Country Hardware. They have just exploded with growth in just a few weeks.

4th Generation @ Jerrol’s Hi I’m Codi, I am a fourth generation Jerrol’s who lives in Vancouver WA. I am currently a junior at Hockinson high school (in the middle of nowhere) and I am just a typical teenager that signed up for way to many clubs when I was a freshman. Just a few of the clubs I am involved in include FBLA, Key club, Band, Drama and plenty of others. On the sports side of things there is the love of tennis and skiing. During the school year I live with my Mom, Dad, and brother as well as a plethora of animals such as goats, chickens (well sort of chickens, we have a lot of coyotes), dogs, and many failed attempts at owning cats (again, coyotes). This summer while I am working here at Jerrol’s, I am living with my Grandma (Annette). I have always loved coming into Jerrol’s, whether it be picking out a balloon before the annual parade starts when I was younger, or just browsing the aisles wanting to buy everything under the sun! I knew that I wanted to get a job as soon as I turned sixteen and I figured the best place to apply would be none other than Jerrol’s. It was a long four-month process because I could only get up here when school obligations (like attending on a regular basis) didn’t get in the way of me coming up to this wonderful valley. I just recently started working here, and right as I walked in the door, I knew I had made the right choice, and all of those surveys I had to take were worth it! The team is so nice and helpful that I feel lucky that I get to work with so many great individuals. I can’t wait to continue my journey at Jerrol’s one summer at a time! - Codi Fortier Frontline Team Member Codi is the 4th member of the 4th generation to work at Jerrol’s. Each has had to go through our entire interview process and pass all of our assessments in order to earn a position on our Team. - Rolf
Corrie’s Craft of the Month I've noticed triangles in everything from fashion to furniture lately, so why not try some in art!! I really like how these turned out and enjoyed putting them together. (something about straight lines and 90 degree angles just makes me happy) Hopefully you will too.
Here's what you'll need: •Some sort of canvas (foam board, poster board even cardboard will work) •A triangle template (I used card stock and cut a 4 inch square, then cut it in half diagonally) •Pretty paper (I made sure I had some solid and patterned paper. The thickness of the paper doesn't matter. I printed some pictures off Pinterest for my patterned paper) •glue or Modge Podge (i used clear Elmer's, but anything that dries clear will work) •paintbrush 1. Using your template, trace and cut out all your paper. 2. Arrange your triangles on your canvas. This is the fun part, there's so many possibilities!! 3. Using the paintbrush, paint the glue on your canvas and glue down the triangles. I ended up watering down my glue a bit. 4. Use another layer of glue on top to make everything stick super well. 5. Let dry and trim off any paper hanging over the edges. -Corrie Ihrke You can reach Corrie at Corrie@Jerrols.com

Storage Area Organization Service You can have us organize and label your storage areas. Last month we organized the new storage areas at Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue’s new fire station on Mountain View Ave in Ellensburg. As part of their move, we stepped in and helped create an office supply storage system and area equal to the new fire station!!
Let us know if would like us to do the same for your storage area.
