Since my granddaughters birth last month I had a lot of questions about what it felt like to be a Grandpa.

Michelle had been back to Williston ND right after Rowan was born. All I had were pictures of my granddaughter; so frankly I didn’t feel any different.

Michelle encouraged me to take some time and go back to Williston myself to see Rowan, Jordan, and Israel.

Just because I could, I decided to take my bike and ride solo. It has been a while since I had taken a trip this long, and I had my doubts; sixteen hours nonstop one way is a lot of time to sit on a bike.

I had such a great time. Now that I have held my Granddaughter and seen how great Jordan and Israel are doing as new parents; I can tell you that being Grandpa is AWESOME! I can’t wait to see them when they come to visit us next month and for Rowan to meet her Great Grandparents. Rowan is so beautiful and when she looks up at you with her great big blue eyes you just can’t help but to fall in love with her.

While I was there, I got to tour the oil fields and the area around Williston which was really fascinating. Seeing the oil wells and the infrastructure that has built up around it is quite a sight. It is like nothing I had ever seen before.

I also spent sometime exploring the Missouri in Great Falls and the North Unit of the Bad Lands. Must have been 500 Bison out and about there.

The round trip turned out to be exactly 1999.9 miles from my driveway and back. I swear I didn’t stage that. I will also tell you that Montana is a very big state. 11 hours from one end to the other on the “HiLine” (Hwy 2).

We improve through empowered Team Members and groups working on a 100 things we can improve by 10% each day .

The fund is available to teachers in the Ellensburg School District at Jerrol’s on Thursday, September 28th starting at 4pm, ending when the funds run out. On a first come first served basis teachers receive $25.00 each to spend in the store plus a 10% discount. It is good for anything in the store and all orders.

You will also earn triple Reward points on your purchases at Jerrol’s on Monday the 26th!

Codi Fortier has left to complete her senior year of High School at Hockinson High school Abby Beauchamp has returned to us from the Portland area to take over as our Weekend and Evening Team Leader.

Brandon Marsh is leaving after 9 years behind the scene helping with Marketing and IT to takeover the IT needs for the Wenatchee School District.

Corrie’s Craft of the Month Paper Mobile

These fun and stylish mobiles are perfect for hanging over your bed or desk to add a pop of color to a dorm room or bedroom and can be made with any colors you fancy.

Supplies Pretty paper (I used 4 sheets each of 4 colors, depends on how full you want it) The inside ring of an embroidery hoop String or fishing line Ribbon Paper Cutter (optional) Double sided tape Hot glue gun Paint Directions 1. Cut your paper into identical shapes. If you don’t have a paper cutter you can trace circles or even cut out squares. Any shape will do.

2. Paint your hoop 3. Hot glue your ribbon to your hoop. I uses two pieces of ribbon and glued the ends directly across from each other on the hoop 4. Attach the paper shapes to the string. Put tape on your paper shape, place string on top of tape and cover with another paper shape. I used 8 shapes per strand and made about 20 strands.

5. Attach your paper strands to your hoop. I left enough string on the top to knot it around the hoop then secure it with a drop of hot glue.

And there you have it!
