Business Tip Are You Tired of Being an Advertising Victim?

Congratulations?? Daughter Jordan called the first Saturday morning in August to let her mom and I know she was engaged. You might recall this is the kid who graduated in 3 years from WSU with a degree in Journalism and zero debt this summer. After finishing her last classes, she continued to work at Northwest Public Radio through the end of July. Her job was to help NPR host Thom Kokenge with the show All Things Considered. Jordan and fiancé

After that she Israel showing proof packed up her of their engagement meager college belongings and brought them to a 6 x 6 spot in our garage that her mom and I graciously allowed her to use. Temporarily of course.

The Definition of Insanity is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results. Does this Sound Like your Marketing?

It is possible to use your advertising dollars in ways that create a measurable Return On Investment in a very short amount of time. There is a group of business owners that meet once a month to discuss this type of marketing and work on improving our businesses for our clients and ourselves. Some of use have been attending these meetings for close to 8 years.

Thom Kokange and Jordan hard at work at Northwest Public Radio on her last day.

Shortly thereafter she traveled on to the oil fields of Williston, North Dakota to visit her long

time boy friend Israel Lopez. So... she arrived there sometime after midnight on Friday, August 1st, and was calling us less then 36 hours later to gives us the good news.

This group is NOT a networking group. It is not a DO IT FOR YOU group. They are not waiting for the economy to improve.

So I have been telling people that if they know any girls that are looking to get married, tell them to abandon all their possessions and head off to North Dakota!! It worked great for my daughter…..☺

It is about implementation, measurement and accountability. In other words RESULTS.

Now, if she can just find a job in journalism!!

If this might be a good fit, send an email to Rolf@Jerrols.com and I’ll reply back with additional information.

Thank You Machelle! Last month Machelle Miller of the Purple Coyote, a full-service print shop in Ephrata, read the August newsletter and noticed the article on the back page mentioning that we are always looking for new businesses that might find Jerrol’s to be a good fit for their office products. Machelle sent over an email mentioning that Corey Carpenter has just started ABC Hydraulics in Moses Lake. She passed on his contact information and we are working with Corey to see if, indeed, we might be a good fit for his business. We truly value that you think so much about us that you would refer your friends and business associates to us. If you know someone that would appreciate everything that you do about sourcing your office products from us, just send over the information to me at Rolf@Jerrols.com ___________________________________

Corrie’s Craft of the Month Homemade Custom T-shirts Want a custom T-shirt to wear? 1. Start with a dark colored shirt and draw your design with chalk. 2. Then trace it with a bleach pen

Your Perfect Dress Shirts So, I have been on the hunt for a decent shirt that will hold up over time and — after half a year of testing a new line of shirts — I can say with confidence that you can now find a quality, basic dress shirt right here at Jerrol’s. With the same non-iron finishing treatment as more expensive brands, it is a twill shirt that will keep you professional looking long past five o'clock. It is a 4oz, 100% cotton shirt. I have been wearing this brand since January and they still look great. These shirts1. Are full length, so YOU WILL NEVER have to tuck back in the sides of your shirt 2. Have full sized breast pockets, 6” deep, so your pen fits all the way in. 3. Buttons that feel like they will last forever. 4. Hold up to regular commercial laundering. In fact, Amy at the dry cleaner’s says this is her favorite shirt to work on. 5. NO pins to remove when you buy them! You will find in stock all six colors shown below in sizes Small through XL from just $31.99 and 2-XL through 4-XL for slightly more!!!

Expansion UpdateAAAAAAAARRRGH!!!!! I would love to tell you the city has signed off on our plans but, I have just returned from a meeting with the building department with a list of minor issues we need to take back to our engineer/architect to revise the drawings (yet again) and clean up some minor typos. The city engineers have also brought up a new concern about a driveway conflict, and a redesign of the of the sidewalk (again). And so it goes on…...again. Our hope at this point is still to be able to complete the project this year, but asphalt becomes a problem after October 15th and we are required to replace both our sidewalks and most of the curbs, which requires asphalt. Don’t get me wrong, the city has been good to work with; it all just takes SOOOOO long. Thanks for your support – we need it!

-Rolf

Brothers N Arms is dedicated to all who have served and stood on the wall defending others while they sleep; to those that have stood together, back to back, watching out for one another, and those who have put the safety of others before their own. We are a company founded by Marines and want to salute every Military and Civil Service member for the time they have committed to serving our county and others. Thank you to all who have stood before us, those currently serving, and those of the future. Many ask the meaning of our Brother N Arms logo. The logo symbolizes two ‘Brothers in Arms” watching over one another. It was created to show the loyalty, commitment, and security one has when your “brother in arms” is standing guard, watching your back, and dedicating his life to protecting his comrades. When you see our logo, remember the men and women dedicating their lives for our safety, watching over each other and our country.
