I am happy to report that the trip to Big Mountain Montana went great. Gerik took the seven hour trip perfectly. Michelle picked up skiing in just a couple of runs, and mom skied all day, everyday!! There was one little adventure where Michelle, Mom, sister (Elizabeth) and a Mom with me on the chair lift. If you see her, ask here where the friend and his 6 year old daughter went to other ski is… the top and found themselves in a snowstorm in white out conditions. It took them several hours to get down, none of them knew exactly where they were. It is the adventures in life that you remember. Our local snowpack is nice and deep and has turned into our usual predictable and solid late winter conditions. It is what some snowmobilers call Hero Snow. It is just hard to get into too much trouble— Mom tearing it up!! though Gerick and I did manage to get stuck for the first time this year last weekend and had to break out the shovel to get out. Don’t tell Michelle! I get a lot of questions about still driving Gerik on Nanuem Ridge around with a snowmobile in the truck. Trust under Mission Ridge Waiting for Dad. me, you don’t have to go far to hit snow even with the warm conditions we have been having. I always say, you just don’t know until you go. I am always surprised at how long our local snow stays. You can almost always find large snow drifts on top of Mission Ridge on the 4th of July. -Rolf P.S. Congratulation Beth & Brady!! Beth Denlinger has been with us for more than 9 years—the past several as our receiving clerk. You may know her as the person who answers our phones most of the time as well.

Mystery Dinner Speaking of Beth & Brady, they hosted a Mystery Dinner at Mom’s house for our Team last month. I thought a Mystery Dinner meant something like playing clue over a meal. Turns out the meal and utensils are the mystery!!!

She and her husband, Brady, announced that they are expecting a new member to arrive in their family

A bunch of the Jerrol’s Team at the Mystery Dinner

Michelle’s copy of the menu, instructions and the translation from the Mystery Dinner

Their announcement says it all

this summer!! This will be their first and we are super excited. It has been years since we have had a baby in the Jerrol’s family. Unfortunately this means we have to give up Beth. She has chosen to spend her time raising her family instead of hanging out with us at Jerrol’s. Ashley Clayton will be taking over for her in receiving.

Familiar Face escapes Jerrol’s Walls Erin Heen, a familiar face in the store for the past several years and long-time Ellensburg resident, is transitioning to working directly with our Business Clients. She has been making deliveries and helping with your furniture installations recently to learn the ins and outs of how we help our Business Clients stay productive and improve their efficiency. Over the next few months you will see less of her in the store and more of her out and about in the community as she visits our Business Clients. _____________________

A pencil A photo (optional) Some Modge Podge So... I started by gluing an old photo to the canvas and drawing (with the pencil) the shape I wanted to "frame" it with. You could also just draw something (the simpler the better) on your canvas. Next you hold your pealed crayon over the lit tea light and hold it there for a couple seconds. Just before it drips, move the crayon over the canvas and let it fall...splat!

Corrie’s Craft of the Month Custom Magnets Remember when we made melted crayon art with the hairdryer? Well, I decided to try again, only this time you get to use FIRE! (or a tea light) I must caution you that this craft can get messy and potentially can cause some damage, so please be careful. You'll need: A canvas Some crayons (pealed) A tea light and matches

Repeat, repeat, repeat. It takes a little bit of practice to get your drips to fall where you want them to, but you'll figure it out pretty quickly. You'll notice that different colors melt faster than others. And, don't worry if you drip in the wrong place, you can always drip a different color over top. This is the fun (and messy) part. After you finish dripping all the drops you want, let it dry completely. (A couple minutes should do it) Lastly, put a layer of Modge Podge over the whole thing. This keeps the drips from peeling off and gives a nice luster to it. And there you have it... I'd love to see what you come up with. You can email your pix to Corrie@jerrols.com. You can reach Corrie at Corrie@Jerrols.com
