As the weather cools off, Spirit Therapeutic Riding Center (www.SpiritTRC.com) here in Ellensburg swings back into full gear offering individuals with physical, emotional, and learning disabilities the opportunity to interact with and ride horses. This has been a part of our lives for the past five years or so. Every Saturday they are operating, our son Gerik, Michelle and I head out to their place in Badger Pocket for Gerik to ride, brush and unsaddle “his” horse Lad. As we all know, the weather in the fall is some of the best we get in the valley. In mid-October this year, Gerik was able to take advantage of a beautiful Saturday morning by riding outside. This is one of Gerik’s regular “community outings” and is one of the few places besides school where he has the opportunity to interact independently with people outside of our family. The volunteers that make it possible have come from as far away as the Seattle area and Moses Lake. Gerik’s favorite part is when he and Lad get to trot. (Although he does love to ride and sing to the volunteers to his hearts content.)

arrogant Interpol agents, French Diplomats and their lethal body guards, not to mention being sold out by your lieutenant. But all of that paled in comparison to the discovery that an animal believed to be a rampaging bear turned out to be a dragon. In pursuit of justice McPherson didn't realize she'd stumbled onto a battle older than time itself. Good and Evil could take a back seat to the real world war between the dragon and the descendants of the woman from Revelation 12:17. Michelle Jackson lives in Ellensburg and is an outdoor enthusiast. She graduated from Central Washington University where she earned degrees in Psychology and Sociology and did research in police work. Jackson is a black belt in karate and a member of the American Shudokan Association. Jackson is on the board of directors for the Rodeo City Equine Rescue Association and owns her own rehabilitation company.
Owens Meats Now at Jerrol’s The rumors are true! Owens Meats are right here at Jerrol’s. Pepperoni, Jerky, Sausage and more, all from their Candy Store for Carnivores, better known as “The Meat Machine”.
Deputy McPherson's years of wilderness survival did not prepare her for what would follow after the body of a woman was discovered in her district. After all, basic survival skills didn't cover how to handle

of the Month
Decorate for Thanksgiving & Christmas
I found our Styrofoam balls (in the arts and craft aisle) and started sticking things in them and gluing things to them. It was really quite fun actually. Not the quickest craft I've ever done, but definitely very relaxing to do in the evening with the tv on. Supplies: Styrofoam ball (any size) Thumb tacks (both the flat and the pokey kind) Sequins (the ones with holes in them) Sewing pins Dried beans Hot glue It's really pretty self explanatory...take your Styrofoam ball and start attaching your stuff. The thumb tacks were my favorite! FYI it took about 300 to cover a medium size ball, so keep that in mind when purchasing your supplies. When pinning on the sequins I found it easiest place the sequin on the ball where you wanted it, then pinning it in place. The hot glue can sizzle the Styrofoam so keep it on the low setting when attaching the beans. Hopefully you have as much fun Corrie Ihrke making these as I did. And most of all Your Kittitas County have a wonderful holiday season. Delivery Specialist
