verybody has a dream, or atleast ambition to get something. As a young generation, I have a dream job to be a photographer. Photographer in the Greek
φ ς (phos), meaning “light”, and γραφή (graphê), meaning “drawing and writing”, together meaning “drawing with light”. Photographer is a person who takes photographs. A professional photographer uses photography to earn money, whereas amateur photographers take photographs for pleasure and to record an event, emotion, place, or person.

There are so many kinds of photography. Each type has its own uniqueness and challenges. There is no absolute rule to capture all types of photography, because photography will always evolve. As a beginner, I think I should try all types of photography. I have tried some of them, such as flora, fauna,

believe that everybody has a reason for something they do. The first time I joined photography extracurricular, the teacher, Mr. Philip Andreas asked me, “why do you
want to join this class and give me a good reason why I have to accept you in my class.“ In that time I didn’t have a good reason while my friends answered that question confidently. Thank God Mr. Philip gave me a chance to join his class. After three years in photography industry, I know why I love photography.

Third, I can capture the moment that only happen once in a lifetime. For example, a mom just gave birth to a cute baby girl. I am pretty sure everything the baby does, it may be her first step or first time she can hold an apple, her parents will document it because it only happens once and we can not stop the time. moment again is only with a photo. A photo can be tricky, some photos look prettier that the real objects, but photo tell the truth about time because we can edit the photo but we can not edit the time that we capture it. Can you feel the power of a piece of photo?
Believe or not, whatever our hobbies are, we always try to find a way to make money from those hobbies. There is nothing wrong with that because we can’t deny that we need money and most of all famous photographer start their career by just capturing all objects around them. I can’t guarantee if you take a beautiful photo, you will get money. It is not that easy. When you do your hobby with your heart, you will get something you never expect. For me, produce an awesome photo is a must, but earing money from that photo is a bonus.

n the way to achieve something in our life, we involve some people. They can be a supporter or inspiration. In photography industry, we are dependent on the tools or kits we have. I thank God because my
parents and my uncle gave me DSLR cameras and unpredictably became a beginning of my dream.
When I was in high school, I have a photography teacher named Philip Andreas . He owns a lot of business, but he teaches just for fun. He is very excited and ambitious. He always accompanies us until we got the lessons, he also share his experiences. In this photography class too, I have two friends which joined this class for three years with me. They are David and William, both of them have different skills. David was expert in capturing something in high

Existence of a
photorgapher depends on the quality, time will prove it. In Indonesia, there are two popular photo agency, Tarzan and King Foto.
They are expert in
family photo and most of important people in Indonesia use their service. For

freelancer photographer , I
know the top two are Darwis Triadi and Darius Manihuruk. Everybody knows them as a senior photographer in Indonesia.
People respect them
not only their photos, but their good attitude and high integrity.

od created a lot of beautiful objects and places in this world. As an archipelago,
Indonesia has the potential to explore from Sabang to Merauke. Some of them are very famous, but can you imagine how many beautiful natural resources that haven’t been exposed?
Some people catch other’s country beauty, and they proud of themself because

abroad. Meanwhile some foreigners capture the beauty of Indonesia and sale in their country for their own profit without any credit for Indonesia. If one day I became a professional photographer, I want to capture the beauty of Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke.
Whenever people go, how far people catch their dreams, they will miss the land they grew up, and so do I. I will show to the world the beauty of Indonesia by my photos as an Indonesian photographer, not selling Indonesia’s beauty to others.

verybody has different ways to reach their dreams. The most important is passion, because there is always a person that insulting our dream whereas a big thing starts with a small thing which is dream.
I think there are three ways to reach a dream, it can be started without any plan, or started because of the influences around them, or they know exactly how to start and what the next step is. I started my dream to become a photographer unexpectly, and just have to continue the track. I started with capturing everything around me, then joined photography class in high school, and now I am joining some photography clubs. If I have a chance, I want to take a photography course in a university and work in photo agency. After I got the experiences, I could be a professional photographer and people will know me by my artwork.
