Dear Church Family, This weekend, January 7-8th, will be an important time at BUMC. First, we will celebrate our annual renewal of baptism vows. Although there will be no pressure to participate, and you will not feel awkward in the least if you don't, this is a special opportunity to renew your commitment to Christ and Christ's church. Baptismal renewal is one of the most sacred moments of the entire year, so please make every effort to attend. Second, we will briefly introduce our Step Up! 2012 emphasis, which will be our church-wide focus for BUMC throughout 2012. Finally, I will share a New Year's message from Exodus 14:5-16 called "Tell the Israelites to Move Forward." I hope to see you at one of our four weekend services for this very special time of worship. It was good to receive Charles Wesley Kunath and Charlie Russell Kunath as new members.
