bumc.net COMMUNION OFFERING: BENEVOLENCE MINISTRY This month's Communion offering is for the Benevolence Ministry, which provides emergency, short-term financial assistance for those both within our congregation and in our community. This ministry also acts as a bridge to connect recipients with long-term support. You can give during Communion in the offering plates or text BUMCCOM and a dollar amount to 28950 (ex. BUMCCOM 50). If this is your first time giving through text, you will receive a text back with information on how to register.

THIS WEEK'S NEIGHBOR CHALLENGE: PRAY

bumc.net/Neighbors

This weekend we're talking about the Golden Rule: to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. How does this apply to being a good neighbor? This week, identify the immediate neighbors you wish to focus on for the next 8 weeks, and pray for the people of that area. This can be the people on your street, in your residential complex, at work, or at school. You'll notice three large panels outside of Haney Hall that say PRAY, COMMUNICATE, and INVITE. Each week you come to worship, place a sticker (provided) on a panel to represent how you connected with your neighbors that week. 1 sticker = 1 person connected with through prayer, communication, or invitation. Share your stories of the weekly challenges with Rev. Shelby Slowey at sslowey@bumc.net.
