Step Up to Worship Ash Wednesday Worship February 22, 6:30 pm. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent and is a great time to step up to a more vibrant and growing faith as we prepare for understanding the death and resurrection of Christ. Ashes from the palms from last year’s Palm Sunday are blessed and used to mark the forehead of each worshiper. Childcare for children 3 and under. The BUMC Foundation was formed in 1992 for the specific purpose of supporting the programs, ministry, works, goals, and objectives of BUMC. They are permitted to grant 5% of their assets each year toward these endeavors. A Grant Request Proposal must be completed for grants to be considered, with the next round due by February 29, 2012.
