Holy Week and Easter Worship TONIGHT - Preparing for Easter: A Lenten Service of Forgiveness & Grace Sunday, March 24 - 6:00 pm, Sanctuary (Childcare for 3 & Under) Begin the journey of Holy Week with a service of quiet worship to remember and give thanks for the forgiveness offered to us in Jesus Christ and to encounter God’s transforming grace. The Stations of the Cross (Haney Hall) Sunday, March 24, 5 pm – 8 pm Monday - Saturday 8 am - 8 pm Stations of the Cross will prepare our hearts to walk the journey with Christ, understand anew the suffering of Christ and Christ’s people, and anticipate the ultimate joy that comes to us through Christ on Easter Sunday. Fling Open the Doors at Easter! We are blessed to have many, many guests on Easter Sunday. Here are some specific ways you can help us make our guests feel welcome: • Open up spaces by attending Easter worship on Saturday, 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary • Park off-campus & ride the shuttle; Easter Sunday 7 am – 12:30 pm • Volunteer in the nursery (email mspencer@bumc.net to find out how) • Volunteer as a greeter (email jbumgarner@bumc.net for details) Love Offering for Pastor Martin & Paula If you would like to participate in a love offering for Pastor Martin and Paula, please make your check payable to BUMC and write “Pastor Martin Love Offering” in the memo line. You may place it in the offering plate during worship through the end of March or mail it to the church business office.

Music for Honduras - Available March 31 James Wells, BUMC’s Children & Youth Music director, has released a CD of all the songs he did last August for the Haiti Benefit Concert. There’s no charge for the CD, but a $10 donation per CD is requested. 100% of the donations will go to the Hand’s of Christ Women’s & Children’s hospital in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. CDs will be available beginning March 31in the Outpost (off the Narthex), in the Breezeway, or from the Music Department.

If you are in town, we encourage you to attend the Holy Week services and participate in Stations of the Cross in Haney Hall! Spring Break Mission Trip Please keep them in your prayers this week as they serve in New Orleans doing home repair and clean up March 24-29! No Sunday Morning or Evening Youth Activities on March 31 (Easter) Youth Cafe will also be closed. Reunion Sunday for 9th-12th on Sunday, April 7 – we’ll be welcoming our new High School Youth Minister, Adam Jones! Rock the Chains band is Friday, May 3. Band audition forms are available (online registration or paper form) and due Sunday, April 7. Camp Barnabas (9th-12th) July 30-Aug 6, we have just a few spots open for: 9th girls and 10th-12th guys. All other have a waiting list. We do still need 1 male adult! Nashville Mission Trip (7th-12th) June 17-20 (daytime), registration is available online. We ware working with Immerse Nashville and McKendree UMC downtown serving in our own community. Lots of adults are needed!

Divorce Recovery Wednesdays, May 8 - June 19, 6:30– 8 pm, Single Space. Cost: $30. Support and encouragement given to those adjusting to divorce. Summer Retreat to Lake Junaluska June 7 – 9; Join the singles on our annual retreat to Lake Junaluska in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina! Monte King will join us as our presenter, praise and worship will be led by Cheri Keaggy, and our Singles friends from North Carolina will be meeting us there! If you are unable to pick it up then, they will be available at the receptionist desk beginning Tuesday, April 2.

Kaye Harvey and Rev. Travis Garner There’s no better guide in the Gospels of what it means to live Like Jesus than the Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew. In this 12-week series, we will dive deeply into Jesus’ most comprehensive teaching in the New Testament as we figure out together what it really means to live Like Jesus.

Habitat for Humaniy Volunteer Sign Ups Start on Easter Sunday BUMC will begin building a Habitat house in Franklin on April 13. There are 8 Saturday build days. Hundreds of volunteers are needed to construct the house, so please stop by the sign up on Easter and choose a day that works for you. Birthing Kits for UMCOR’s use in HAITI, a church-wide invitation from Brentwood United Methodist Women. We invite you to ‘live like Jesus’ by assembling these birthing kits. We need 100 bars of soap (1-2 oz. size, in original packaging; packaged hotel bars acceptable) and 200 receiving blankets (size 30” x 30” or 32” x 32”, no fleece or thermal per UMCOR instructions). Haiti Mission Trip - June 15 - 22 Be part of a 15-member team to travel to Jacmel, Haiti to assist in ongoing projects. First priority will be given to church members who have not been to Haiti previously with Restore Haiti. Parents and teenagers 15 and older welcome.
