Please join the Corte Bella Vets for our Annual Patriot Day Ceremony on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 7:00 AM. We will meet at the grassy area near our community flagpole. Following the ceremony, we will walk around the circle. All are welcome to join at any point; golf carts, bicycles, and cars are also welcome. The Corte Bella Golf Club will be open at 8:00 AM for breakfast for those who wish to partake. John, a U.S. Army Veteran, recently approached an AmeriCorps member in Surprise with his story. He and his wife moved to Arizona, but when his wife died, he was adrift, with little resources to return home to his Michigan family. He wasn’t sure where to turn, but knew that he needed money to make the 2,000+ mile trip home. Allison Wisniewski, from AmeriCorps, reached out to the Corte Bella Vets to see if we would consider assisting. Within 24 hours, it was agreed that he needed help, and we would make it happen. Ralph Brown acquired $1,000 in Visa Cards which were given to John for his journey home. It is because of you, the residents of Corte Bella, and the Corte Bell Veteran’s Group that we were able to make this happen. Thank you all for your support.

Taps---The American Legion, Mary Ellen Piotrowski Post 94 Walk around the loop begins, all are welcome to join us at ANY point. Golf carts, bikes, cars, and pets are welcome to join. Bottled water stations will be available.

8AM---Corte Bella Golf Club Grill will be open for breakfast

The Corte Bella Vets Dinner/Dance Gala will be held in the social hall on Saturday, October 23rd. The Gala will begin at 5:00 PM (doors will open at 4:30 PM). Cocktails (with a cash bar) will begin at 5:000 PM, and dinner will be served at 6:00 PM. We will begin selling tickets on September 7th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM every Tuesday and Thursday thru October 12th in the Anacapa breezeway. Tickets will be $50 per person (check or cash only) and $15.00 per ticket will be tax deductible as a charitable donation. Music will be provided by our very own DJ, Keith Fowler.
