DIOMIRA
SOLID & VOID DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE He came to realize the emphasis on abstract happiness overweighs the need of a solid element, wealth. The variety of views indicates different interpretation.
- City full of luxury - A bunch of workaholics - People pursue He doesn’t feel materialism excited, as he assumes it's another typical city that's full of desires. RHYTHM HAPPINESS '...MULTICOLORED LAMPS' - Feasts after dusk - Welcome every passerby of the city - Life full of enthusiasm He is envious of the people, enjoying the happiness he has long lost. As for him, time he dedicated is just for wealth.
HIERARCHY TRANSITION '...EVENING' Dusk, is just an illusion, as the sun is either above the horizon or below it. And that means that day and night are linked in a way, the time of the day where strange things occur
The traveler sees the other side of the city which is different from daytime.

ASSIGNMENT 1B
OBSERVING THE EVERYDAY
THE OBLIVION .Not everything is as sugarcoat as it is. We shun the existence of the A.C. condenser but notice only the contrasting expressive mural arts. It is clearly depicted whereas we emphasize the rather wondrous aspect in life, but unbeknownst within their midst. In response to the people of Diomira, it is seen as first impression to be pretty rather than the value. BERKSHIRE UNIVERSITY | COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE
THE MUNDANE The traffic signal -- a piece of mundane technology which dictates the flow of an intersection repetitively. Though its lights repeat lifelessly, its purpose forbids all odds of failure. Much like the cycle of Diomira's inhabitants, their perseverance in working only reflects their hope for true happiness.Â

THE EPHEMERAL Dusk -- A transitory period of time. Even in Diomira, dusk rules over day and night. However, its reign is fleeting though it reoccurs endlessly. Much like an abrupt contradistinction art booth which seems to materialize in the midst of a busy urban scape, Diomira's dusk reveals its true nature, only for a brief moment. BERKSHIRE UNIVERSITY | COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE
