The Silent Sheep

On a farm in Texas Stood a silent sheep An animal so precious Never made a peep Whether its water was taken Or someone stole all the bacon She stayed a silent sheep She helped every animal All through the farm She was the sweetest And caused no harm Though she said nothing She was still loving And always stayed a silent sheep

Lucky Duck

Once upon a time There was a baby duck This duck was very lonely It didn’t have friends, if only However, he was very lucky One time he got cut And then he was stuck But the duck was still lucky All the other ducks laughed They said, “You’re nothing like us.” In fact he just fell in the mud Then he was done! He went to the other ducks And punched them in the face This would teach them Not to mess with the lucky duck

The School Bells Ring Oh the time when school starts The loud ringing of the early bell The sad feelings I get when it’s time to start the day The yelling and screaming coming from everywhere in the classroom The screeching of the morning announcement telling of later activities When the morning bell rings Oh lunch time The best time to unwind Shouting coming from outside And whispering coming from inside Everywhere is the sound of crunching and chewing My least favorite bell when I hear the chiming calling the end of lunch When the lunch bell rings Finally it is here The dismissal bell has rung All the moaning and groaning gone Their is chatter all around Of kids excited to go home Lots of parents honking their horns For their kids to get in When the dismissal bell rings

The Life of a Ball It’s a ball’s life for me! Each bounce brings people joy and happiness The hoop yawns at me before I fall through the net It tickles whenever someone scores. But after the game, my life is awful Locked away inside a closet No other balls to talk to The closet door laughs in my face knowing that I am trapped Until another human plays with me again And then the cycle repeats. It’s a ball’s life for me!

The new book smell Of sweet vanilla Touching the newest edition Very rough to the touch Getting through the first chapter Learning about the terrible backstory. Looking at every single page Words all around Absorbing all the knowledge Characters eating dinner I too can taste the food with them I hear them laughing Deep in conversation However, I am suspicious Of what is to come
