Shriek! Shirek! Shriek! The first bell goes off rhyming and chiming. It is time to start the day. Get to class, settle down, And work for the rest of the day.

Dong! Dong! Dong! Finally the lunch bell, My stomach is gurgling and churning I run to the cafeteria I get food and sit with my friends We laugh and play and say goodbye till the last bell.

Bing! Bing! Bing! How that sweet bell tinkles. At last, my favorite bell Time to go home and rest after a long long day. 6

A flower blooming, It comes to life, Like a butterfly Opening its wings for the first time It rises soft and slowly In the harmony divine Taking its first breaths Into a lifetime

Behind this smile I hide, I am burning up inside. I always held you beside But now you are finally untied You took away my smile You took away my life You left in the matter of a night Disappeared in a twinkle of the light

I have seen you grow up since you were a child And soon i will hopefully get to see my grandchildren grow up, And watch you experience motherhood like i did.

I miss you

The pain in my chest, As if i were stabbed with a sword The feeling of losing the one I loved most. She was my hero, she was my all And now without her, I must move on. Everyday that i wake, i know that you are gone And no one knows the heartache as i try to carry on. Yet it is hard when all you wanna do is cry And you can't hold the tears back I have not let myself accept The fact that i will never see you again And all I wanna do is be able to talk to you again But you will stay in my heart, till the day we meet again Those memories that we shared will always bring back a smile, But now they are filled with a little bit of sadness that reminds me i will never see you again I would do anything for a few minutes to see you again But i guess that will have to wait till the day i meet you up there. I miss you.

Birthday (

15

Today is my birthday, Finally thirteen. The one day of the year that is dedicated to me. I get ready, all excited, Can't wait to see my gifts.

That’s when I see my dad laying in the couch With beers and cigarettes all over the house Passed out like always can’t even wake up He didn't even get me a gift or remembered me at all

But i am used to this It happens every year, I thought that maybe this time was gonna be different, But maybe next time he will finally say “Happy Birthday” 16

Mood Peer pressure guy/girl want to impress It will go good

Hopeful

Hopeless

Peer pressure is something we can avoid. I know that they will never be able to make me give in They asked and asked but could not get me to do anything They were surprised to see that i had not let them break me

Peer pressure is something we say w e can avoid. First them now me who else will give in I thought I would be able to not get destroyed But it was too late my thin shield had broke

I knew this wasn't right Even if the thrill excited me And the crowd loved me I would give in like most teens do Years later, I have a great life. I have lost all my family and friends. I have no purpose to live really The only thing that keep me going are the pills I hide under my bed.

I knew this wasn't right But the thrill excited me And the crowd loved me So i did it anyway thinking it was ok. Years later, i am trapped in a rehab. I have lost all my family and friends. I have no purpose to live really The only thing that keep me going are the pills I hide under my bed.

Staying up all night Trying to finish all my homework It is a pile as big as mount everest.

My teachers don’t give me time to have a life. I know I have to finish but it is just so hard. They put 30 pounds of stone on our backs

And if we don't complete it, The teachers will kill us.

Allusion

My Perfect World I once had a dream like martin luther king, I dreamed that i fell in love like romeo and juliet. I had a perfect life, No worries, Friends, Family, And love. I wanted to hold onto this heaven in my imagination But i knew i had to let go And go back to the problems in earth The war, death, violence, fear But i would pay anything to hold on for just a bit more.

Sonnet A team Colorless lips, her face is white and pale Unknown faces new men in different places, No money on the street her life is a maze, Part of the A Team leaving down traces She started going down hill at eighteen Only the worst things in life are free like abuse, Her life comes crumbling a fading scene Been hooked up on things like drugs and booze Homes move and the door is locked Life is a roller coaster in the sky her life started tick tick ticking away like clocks At least the angel can no longer fly She stood painfully and said my life’s a mess Her spirit took flight to the heavens in distress 24
